Chapter 135
Ash could only stay on top. When she saw the big hole in the security guard’s shoes, she was delighted that she had been
careful.
“I guess the sole of his foot was burned. Take him to the hospital for a checkup. Who has the key to the back door?” Calvert said.
The security guard was sweating from the pain. He took out a bunch of keys from his pocket and handed it to Calvert, “It’s all here. The smallest one.”
“But the back door is packed. It’s possible to open the door, but it’s probably very difficult to enter and exit.” After the security guard said this, he was carried away by the two maintenance workers behind him.
Calvert glanced upstairs and said calmly, “Stay here. I’ll go up from the back door.”
“Do you know where the back door is?
“Didn’t the security guard just say it’s not easy to get in and out of the back door? How are you going to do it alone?” Ash asked.
When Ash said this, Calvert had walked away. Her questions met with no response.
Calvert had just walked around Funtime Games and found the back door should be at the northwest corner. His sense of direction was very good, and it didn’t take long for him to reach the back door.
As expected, just as the security guard had said, one could open the door, but it was very difficult to come in and out.
Calvert came back to Ash’s side almost 20 minutes later. He said, panting for breath, “Let’s go. The back door is open.” The moonlight showered its silvery light on him. Ash’s heart softened at this moment and she followed Calvert out of the
company.
With the help of a street lamp, Ash realized that there was dust on Calvert’s sleeves and pants. Sweat glistened on his neck. When Ash came out of the back door, she checked the surroundings and found boxes piled up beside the staircase, and there were obvious signs of movement.
That was to say, Calvert had been moving these things non–stop for 20 minutes before he came to her.
Ash’s eyes lit up. She said earnestly, “Thank you. I shall thank you in any way.” With a smile, Ash took a step forward to pat the dust off his collar.
Her eyes flickered and she looked delighted. “There was dust on your collar. It’ll spoil your image if people see it.”
“Keep tonight’s thing to yourself. Also, don’t come to the company tomorrow.” Calvert’s voice was low and mixed with a hint of seduction, probably because he was tired.
Ash said with a smile, “Tomorrow is the weekend. Does it matter if I come to the company or not? Bosses like you guys never remember the weekend?”
“Bosses? Aren’t you the boss?” Calvert asked.
Ash shook her head with a sigh. “Do I look like a boss to you? I’m just a worker, so Mr. Snider, you should be cooperative and sponsor this Triple–A Game project. After all, you guys are so rich.”

“Are you really pressed for cash?” Calvert asked. He did not understand the joke in her words.

Ash nodded without hesitation. “That’s right. I’m short of money, so can you sponsor more? My family’s money has nothing to do with me.”
“You’re a miser, Calvert complained.
Ash tilted her head and groaned. “Who doesn’t like money? Don’t say that you don’t like it. If so, why are you busy every day?
Calvert walked side by side with her to the car without saying a word. Their figures lengthened against the street lamp. The shadow of Ash wavered continually, Calvert stared at the shadow and the corners of his mouth curled up.
“I’ll send you back later. You always send me back. I don’t want to take advantage of you,” Ash continued. She didn’t mind Calvert’s silence.
She always spoke frankly and didn’t care if she didn’t get a response from others. She felt good speaking freely as long as she knew where to draw the line.
Ash felt she and Calvert were closer after tonight. Both of them didn’t explain the previous dispute, but they had this understanding that neither of them mentioned it again.
“I’ll drive?” Ash walked straight to the driver’s seat. She patted the door and looked at Calvert. “I’m the driver today. I haven’t drive you before, right?”
Lowering his eyes, Calvert pulled down the car door and sat in the front passenger seat. He slowly said, “Any good thing will happen if you drive?”
Hearing this, Ash clicked her tongue and said, “You can take a break. You’ve just been tired. I feel bad to let you drive.
“Well, don’t you realize the brakes are not working well?” Ash realized this from the moment she stepped on it.
However, Ash thought it was because of the difference between cars that she had the feeling. After driving for a while, she realized the problem was getting serious.
Calvert, who was resting with his eyes closed, instantly opened his eyes when he heard this. He leaned over and pressed a few buttons. His expression turned solemn as he said. “The tire pressure is very low. Try to step on the brakes slowly and let go of the accelerator.”
“Didn’t it work well when you arrived? Seeing his expression, Ash immediately realized that the saboteur tonight must have come prepared. He tampered with the car.
Calvert nodded slightly. “Does it still not work? Have you loosened the accelerator? Drive for 1 mile and turn right. That road is very long, enough to reduce the speed”
“Can you do it?” Ash didn’t know when he had placed his hand on her arm. Although he asked her the question, his expression and tone showed that he believed she could do it.
Ash gradually calmed down because of this sentence. She turned around and smiled at him. “I’m the number one driver in Riverstone.
I’m gonna show you my driving skills. Don’t think that we women are bad drivers.” Ash was still stable. Fortunately, there were not many cars at this time.
If it was the evening rush hour, the consequences would be unimaginable.
Calvert said, “There will be three connected traffic lights ahead, but don’t worry. That road is a dead end. There are very few people. Just focus on controlling the direction.”

Calvert’s hand was still on her arm. His voice was steady, and he was like a coach teaching a student how to drive. “Control the direction.”
Ash’s heartbeat slowly stabilized, and she successfully passed through two intersections in a row.
When she thought that she would be able to turn right smoothly at the third intersection, a figure on a bicycle appeared suddenly, which brought Ash’s heart into her mouth. Calvert hurriedly pulled her hand and turned the steering wheel.
