Adrian saw her and quickly caught up, saying, “Sophie!”
“Adrian, don’t leave me behind, Adrian!”
No matter how Erika called, Adrian didn’t turn back.
The groom of this wedding was gone, destined to become a farce, and the whole world would know that Erika had become a laughingstock.
After Sophie left, Adrian caught up with her.
“Sophie!” He grabbed her arm.
“Where have you been all these years? I’ve been looking for you for a long time. Are you doing well? Are you back for good now?” Adrian looked at Sophie without blinking.
The little girl, who needed protection, seemed to have grown up.
“I’ve been doing well,” Sophie replied.
Adrian eagerly wanted to explain to Sophie about his marriage to Erika, and there was a glimmer of hope
in his eyes.
“Sophie, now that you’re back, then I…”
“I’m married, and our child is now five years old,” Sophie interrupted Adrian directly.
She knew what Adrian meant and didn’t want to give him hope.

She knew that her presence alone would prevent this wedding from proceeding.
“I have something to attend to; I’ll catch up some other time.”
Sophie left gracefully, and Adrian’s feet felt like they were made of lead, and he didn’t follow her.

Sophie was married and had a child. Even if she divorced, his family wouldn’t allow him to marry a
divorced woman.
As she got into the car, Sophie saw Erika, who had come out in a miserable state.
Six years ago, she had gone to a mountain temple to pray and, when coming down the mountain, her brakes had failed, leading to an accident. Sophie couldn’t avoid feeling Erika was responsible for that
incident.

“Erika,” Matilda walked in wearing high heels, hiding her disdain. She walked over to Erika.
