Chapter 5
1 recognized use jmmediately–Bob, a fresh face in the Gamma Warriors.
He’s the son of my father’s beta, who just came of age this year, and made it into the Gamma Werriors through his own efforts. But Sandy has always resented him. He always thought Bob got it all through his father.
Sandy’s expression shifted, irritation flashing across his face. He ran a hand through Lily’s hair before straightening his shirt collar, then spoke slowly, his voice tight with impatience.
“I already said, didn’t those nobles always think they were the most powerful of the wolves? Where’s the need for someone like me, a rogue wolf by birth, to save them?”
Bob hesitated but pressed on, his voice more uncertain. “You… you forgot, Captain. The entire team was summoned here to help Lily. The pack’s only advanced rescue tools truck has already been dispatched to her location.”
Sandy’s mood darkened, his sharp tone cutting through the room. “Are you questioning my decisions? There are lives at risk on both sides, and I’ll prioritize accordingly! If you’re so eager to
Red, then leave now!”
Lily cried, “I’m so sorry for delaying the nobleman who went to save the wolves in order to save my lowly rogue wolf girl.”
Sandy got even angrier at Lily’s words, he yelled at Bob, “What a humor, I can’t believe I forgot that you’re Beta’s son, you’re a noble too, so of course you think a noble’s life is more precious than a rogue wolf,”
Bob, when he heard Sandy taunt him about being an aristocrat, he was usually quiet. Now he took a bold step forward. His words dripped with sarcasm, but it was clear he was trying to provoke some sort of response. “Oh, Captain. Did you forget about your mate not only the nobles, but even the Alpha’s daughter?”
Sandy’s face hardened, “Enough! You have no right to speak to me like that!”
The tension in the room was palpable, both of them standing on the edge of conflict. But Lily, her voice sweet and soft like honey, reached for Sandy’s arm, tugging at him with false innocence. “Please, don’t be angry. Everyone’s just trying to help. Let’s go end the fire together.”

She turned to the team, offering a gracious bow, her voice laced with feigned sincerity. “I’m sorry for taking up public resources, but thank you all for helping. I promise I’I live my life to the fullest, and 1 won’t waste the second chance you’ve given me!”
