Celica felt suffocated and suddenly remembered something, causing her to push Nathaniel away. “Enough! Do you think this is amusing? In the end, we are just strangers” Although the wolf in her kept asserting that this Alpha was her real mate, there was no way she could fall in love with him at first sight. She also had something important to do and didn’t want to be tied down to the Snowwolf Pack.
Annoyed by the interruption, Nathaniel turned solemn. “I did not care about you in the past, but now we can start getting to know each other again. We fit together quite well in bed, don’t we? My wolf tells me that you are my destined mate.” It was an Alpha’s order, one that could not be disobeyed.
Celica adjusted her dress and hair, placing her hands on her hips as she expressed her discontent. Her hair was disheveled, her cheeks were flushed, and two buttons were undone, revealing her beautiful collarbone and deep cleavage. There were marks of his kisses on her skin. He thought she looked adorable, throwing a small tantrum.
He didn’t attempt to be curt. He approached her and held her hand. Since he was the one who upset her, he would be the one to calm her down. With a slightly improved attitude, he said, “There are countless wolves out there who want to be the Snowwolf Pack’s Luna, but they don’t have the opportunity. You are my Luna. You should appreciate this chance more.”
Many she–wolves dreamed of being the Snowwolf Pack’s Luna, yet he chose her and her alone. Should she not be more grateful? Being aloof by nature, even when he tried to coax her, he sounded imperious.
Celica was partly amused and partly annoyed by his smug expression. “If anyone wants to be Luna, they can take my place. There’s nothing advantageous about being your Luna, except for the perk of never going hungry.”
Never going hungry? Nathaniel tensed up, his eyes filling with an icy glare. He thought, She’s making marriage to me sound like a nightmare.
Noticing his confusion, as if she had accused him of something he never did, Celica retorted, “Do you think I’m lying? I haven’t received a single cent from you since we got married. I earned more money from entry- level jobs than being your wife.”
His expression grew even colder. He licked his fangs, contemplating, is working an entry–level job truly better than being married to me? No one has ever spoken down to me like that before. His pupils contracted, and his face darkened with anger. The fur on the back of his hand began to show as he called for Remus.
When Remus entered, he sensed the tense atmosphere in the room.
“Why doesn’t Celica receive any money? Is it your fault?” Nathaniel had no idea about the life his Luna in name had endured. He had never cared for her, and Remus was the one who handled everything.
“Alpha, you once said that besides necessary expenses for the pack, I don’t have to concern myself with her,” Remus honestly replied.
Celica snorted. For an Alpha of a huge pack, he’s quite stingy. He refuses to pay for the upkeep of a useless Luna. She had been living a life even more pathetic than the lives of Lunas from smaller packs, not even owning any nice dresses. In this pack, she was merely a replaceable decoration. Now that she had the chance to leave, of course she would take it.
Nathaniel was truly upset now, his lips twitching. Fine. Leave.”
Remus scurried away like a mouse escaping a cat.

Then, only two remained in the room. The tension dissipated. Nathaniel took out a black card and handed it to Celica. “Buy anything you want. Get the best and most expensive items. You are the Luna of Snowwolf Pack. You don’t have to settle.”
Her eyes sparkled. It was her first time seeing a
ck card. The number on the card was gilded in gold, and
the card itself shone. She couldn’t help but muse, I heard users of this card must have at least one billion in the bank before they can apply for one.
