Chapter 29 Condemnation of Celica
Celica left work feeling ecstatic.
Finished
When she returned home, she eagerly shared the news of her design being selected by the company with Elizabeth.
Her equally thrilled grandmother headed into the kitchen to prepare a special dinner to celebrate.
Celica walked into her room, kicked off her slippers, and lazily lay on her bed while checking her phone. It was then that she received a call from abroad.
A deep, masculine voice came through. “Have you finished work?”
She hesitated for a moment and asked tentatively, “Nathaniel?”
Nathaniel had been working tirelessly for several days, and his voice was hoarse. However, Celica didn’t recognize his voice, so his mood felt somewhat burdened.
After a brief grunt from him, they both fell into silence. “Has anyone approached you intentionally when I’m not around?”
She furrowed her brows as she did not quite understand the purpose of his question.
“No,” Celica replied honestly.
Nathaniel then responded casually, “Mm, I’ll hang up.”
Before ending the call, she heard someone calling him to attend a meeting. It seemed like he had taken the time out of his busy schedule to call and check on her. After hanging up, he went back to his work.
She stared at the number that hadn’t yet been saved in her contacts. After some hesitation, she created a new contact card.
After a while, Elizabeth called Celica for dinner.
A restful night’s sleep left her rejuvenated, and the next day, she dressed in a simple and elegant outfit for work.
As she entered the office, she noticed a multitude of questioning and disdainful looks directed at her. These gazes seemed to treat her as if she were a common enemy.
Celica couldn’t understand why there had been such a drastic change in the office overnight.
She felt like she had become a monster in their eyes, and this feeling was very unpleasant.
Celica accessed the company’s discussion website to understand the issue. After checking, she finally realized what the problem was.

Some people even claimed that not only had she gotten in the car with the big boss, but her relationship with Reagan, the leader of Group 2, was also unclear.
Reagan was the dream man in the circle of designers, and the big boss was their ultimate goal. Now, both of these male idols were seemingly claimed by Celica. This was an offense that could send her to the guillotine!
After reading those articles, Celica felt as though she had fallen into a cold lake. It made her shiver all over.
Just because she was a newbie and her design work made it to the boards, she was labeled as a woman who used her body to gain power.
This was absurd! These forum posts made it seem as if they had personally witnessed Celica sleeping with her superiors.
However, she couldn’t clarify this situation. She didn’t want Nathaniel to intervene and clear things up, and she certainly didn’t want her identity as Mrs. Hyde to be exposed. She was trapped in a difficult situation and could not speak out.
With no other option, she chose to ignore the issue and hoped that the gossip would eventually die down.
However, two days later, the situation did not gradually fade away as she had hoped.
Instead, it escalated further, with designers from the entire company standing up to condemn Celica.
They refused to allow a designer who relied on her looks and used her body to gain a position to appear at Shadearts.
This not only affected the work environment but also insulted those designers who worked diligently.
In the morning, as soon as Celica arrived at the office, a group of designers claiming to demand fairness and justice surrounded her small desk. All the she–wolves glowered at Celica, their claws twitching with anger as they held back their urge to lunge at her and fight her.
The situation had become so sensational that the security department immediately notified the CEO and Vice CEO.
A few minutes later, Tony and Jadon arrived at the design department. They saw a group of people surrounding Celica and demanding her resignation.
“Mr. Hensley, if Celica doesn’t resign today, it’s equivalent to insulting those of us who work diligently as designers. You can only keep either her or us!” The one leading the charge was Tina Khan, the deputy leader of a design team.
Tony had also seen the pictures on the website. Though not entirely certain about Nathaniel’s relationship with Celica, as a friend, he knew Nathaniel held significant regard for this woman.
Nathaniel had warned Tony not to get close to her, and now people had discovered that she had been in Nathaniel’s car. It was known that Nathaniel had a penchant for cleanliness. Even when his friends got into his car, he could find a host of faults. Perhaps his relationship with Celica was just as the internet claimed.
Tony initially didn’t want to get involved in this matter, but now that it had escalated, he had to deal with it.
He felt somewhat conflicted and didn’t want to let go of such a delicate beauty. He wore a troubled expression and said, “Celica, how about taking a temporary leave until I investigate the matter thoroughly, and then we’ll decide?”

This was already the most dignified way to give her an out.

At this point, even if Celica insisted on staying, it wouldn’t help her cause. It would only further damage her reputation.
But in this matter, she wasn’t wrong, so if she just left like that….
Wasn’t it indirectly admitting that she used her body to climb the ranks?
In the future, no matter where she worked, she would always be branded with this stain. This was profoundly unfair to her!
Jadon entered the crowd, towering at 6 feet and 1 inch. “I’m sure Celica didn’t cheat,” he proclaimed. “I’ve reviewed all her designs, and she should have performed just fine.” He was objective and focused on the issue, even reviewing the design drawings from the same period. Her designs were indeed superior to the others. After all, her designs showcased more appealing lines and a better artistic concept.
“I agree with Mr. Huber’s opinion; Celica’s designs are excellent.” A clear male voice came from behind the crowd.
Everyone turned to see that it was Reagan.
The fact that a man with a prominent position in the design industry came forward to support Celica might indeed indicate her talent and abilities.
The designers who had just threatened to drive Celica out of Shadearts were rendered speechless.
However, Tina didn’t agree and stepped forward to inquire, “How do you know if she hasn’t used someone else’s work? It’s not easy for a freshly graduated designer to achieve this.”
Either she was a fake or a genius.
She thought the first possibility was more reliable.
Celica knew that a few words wouldn’t eliminate the doubts these people held against her.
At that moment, Jadon made a proposal. “I have a suggestion. Let’s organize another design competition that will last for a week. In order to ensure fairness, we will all stay at the same hotel, and the company will cover all expenses.”
Since there were doubts, they could let their abilities speak for themselves, thus eliminating the need for further suspicion.
Jadon was dressed impeccably in a designer outfit, featuring a classic black and white combination that accentuated his alluring collarbones. As he stood amidst the crowd, women couldn’t help but cast admiring glances in his direction.
Celica was the first to sign up, determined to prove herself in this competition.
All those who had been skeptical or doubted her abilities also signed up.
Jadon requested Lily, the team leader, to handle the registrations. The participating designers were instructed to prepare their personal belongings and gather at the Golden Rose Holiday Inn within two
hours.
Celica swiftly packed her belongings and left the office.

Shortly after, Jadon sent out an email to address the issue and remove all negative news related to Celica.
As soon as he returned to his office, he received a call from Nathaniel, who was calling from abroad.
