Chapter 134
Lewis bought two tickets on his phone, while Arianna didn’t need one.
“Wow! The amusement park is huge!” Arianna exclaimed excitedly.
Since it was the weekend, many parents had brought their children, and the place was packed with laughter and joy.
Arianna was swept up in the lively vibe. Her big eyes darted around, looking left and right in excitement.
“Doris, hold Ari. I’ll take a picture of you two,” Lewis said, taking out his phone.
“Okay.” Doris and Arianna happily posed for several pictures while Lewis captured the moments with his camera.
Since Arianna was still little, there weren’t many rides she could go on, and she needed an adult to accompany her.
Doris rode the carousel with Arianna.
Lewis sat alone in front of them, positioning himself to take pictures.
They also went on the kiddie train and spinning teacups–rides suitable for young children.
Arianna was having a blast, unable to stop smiling the entire time. Her happiness quickly made her forget about the unpleasant morning, and she became completely immersed in the fun.
Watching Arianna laugh so freely, Lewis and Doris both felt relieved and content.
After playing for two to three hours, Arianna started to feel tired, and beads of sweat formed on her forehead.
They found a table and chairs to sit down for a break.
“Thirsty? Have some water first.” Doris took out a children’s water bottle from her backpack and handed it to Arianna.

“Can I have an ice cream cone? And a burger and fries…” Arianna’s voice grew softer as she spoke.
“Just one. You can’t have too much.” Doris thought those weren’t very healthy choices, but she knew kids loved them.
“Oh… Then I’ll just have an ice cream cone.” Arianna didn’t throw a tantrum.
Lewis stood up and looked toward the nearby snack stand. “Doris, stay with Ari. I’ll go buy it.”
“Alright,” Doris said.
Lewis walked over and got in line.
So, the president of Hartman Group, the heir of the Hartman family, would have to wait in line.

Lewis had no idea people were talking about him–he was too focused on browsing his phone for what he wanted to buy.
Suddenly, a shadow appeared in front of him, but it didn’t even break his concentration. He didn’t bother to look up.
“Hey, sir! Can I take a picture with you?” A girl asked in a crisp voice.
Lewis didn’t respond, as if the question wasn’t directed at him.
Another girl spoke up. “We just want to be friends. How about adding each other on WhatsApp?”
Lewis felt a bit annoyed. This was exactly why he disliked public places–there were always women drawn to his looks trying to strike up a conversation.
If he didn’t have to keep his identity under wraps, he would’ve rented out the entire amusement park. That way, he could enjoy some peace and wouldn’t have to wait in line like an ordinary person.
He turned slightly and pointed toward Doris and Arianna, who were sitting on a nearby bench.
“That’s my daughter.” This tactic usually worked.
“Your daughter?” The two girls were stunned, looking doubtful.
“Ari, come here,” Lewis called out.
Arianna had been watching him the whole time, so the moment he called, she noticed.
She slid off the bench and ran straight to him.
Lewis scooped her up in his arms. “Sweetheart, say hello to the ladies.”
“Hello,” Arianna said in her soft, childish voice, perfectly cooperative.
The two young women flushed with embarrassment at her words.
Doris had already packed up their things and walked over, glancing at the two girls.
Lewis freed one hand and wrapped it around her shoulder. “If you still want my WhatsApp, you might want to ask my wife if she’s okay with it.”
The surrounding onlookers shot the two girls disapproving looks.
So they understood they were a family of three. Now that his wife was right there, even the most shameless person wouldn’t dare to push their luck.

“S–Sorry for disturbing you.” The two women hurried away.
Doris didn’t even need to ask to know what had happened.
“Mr. Hartman, you really are blessed. No matter where you go, flowers bloom in your wake.” He was practically a walking heartthrob.
Doris looked at Lewis–his face, his figure, his presence. He truly was rare in this world. No wonder women kept throwing themselves at him.
“Is Mrs. Hartman mocking me?” Lewis smirked.
“I wouldn’t dare,” Doris denied.
He leaned in close and whispered in her ear, “None of those flowers compare to the one waiting for me at home—my Mrs. Hartman.”
Doris bit her lip lightly, her lips curling up slightly before returning to normal.
“Order 48370, ready for pickup.”
Lewis placed Arianna in Doris‘ arms. “I’ll get the food.”
He showed the pickup code on his phone and double–checked the order before taking it.
They returned to their previous spot.
Lewis handed an ice cream cone to Arianna.
“Thanks, Lewis!” That had basically become Arianna’s catchphrase.
Doris glanced at the spread–Orleans chicken wings, burgers, fries, golden shrimp balls, and other snacks, all Arianna’s favorites.
She turned to Lewis. “Why did you order so much? Ari can’t have more of this.”
“It’s for us,” Lewis replied as he sat down.
“You don’t usually eat fried food. Aren’t you worried about the calories?” Doris picked up a crispy chicken drumstick, sniffed it, and then took a bite–the crunch was satisfyingly loud.
She showed off and said, “It smells amazing.”
“Eating it once in a while won’t hurt,” Lewis said as he picked up a French fry and slowly put it into his mouth.
Arianna watched as the two adults enjoyed her favorite food and said, “I want some too.”
Lewis handed a burger to Arianna.
Doris stopped him. “She already had ice cream, so she can’t eat this. It’s almost lunchtime. If she eats this now, how will she have room for her meal?”
“I can eat it,” Arianna said eagerly.
“It’s not that Doris doesn’t believe you, she just doesn’t think your stomach can handle that much,” Doris said, still disagreeing.
“It’s normal for kids to enjoy eating,” Lewis tried to convince Doris. “We brought Ari out to have fun, and eating should be part of that fun. Eating a little junk food occasionally won’t have a big impact on her health. Look, I’m eating it too, aren’t I?”
