Chapter 8
Salvador shivered all over.
“Donna, isn’t this what you wanted? We could get married now, and we would be together forever!”
It was late, too late.
If a little earlier, before I discovered them in bed.
Before I lost my third child.
I would burst into tears as I received the long–awaited outcome.
Salvador woke up as if from a deep dream.
“Do you not like this anymore? It’s okay, I can redesign it, you can have as many as you want.”
“I know, I know you were jealous of Elisa, but don’t worry, she…”
“Salvador, we wouldn’t have a future anymore,” I interrupted him.
I held Noah’s hand, and he willingly cooperated with me.
Salvador wanted to stop, but he couldn’t.
Behind, there was a lot of noise.
Salvador rummaged through the trash cans like a madman.
I never expected that Elisa would think of forcefully breaking into
my house.
She was stopped by the servants.
Elisa’s snow–white complexion looked a bit haggard, and this time it wasn’t just for show.
“Donna, please, don’t let Salvador not want me.”
I stared at my phone, and in ten minutes, I was going to leave for my appointment.
“He has nothing to do with me now.”
As soon as the words fell, it was unknown which sore spot of Elisa’s was hit.
She suddenly started to struggle fiercely, with a fierce look in her eyes.
“You scoundrel, it’s because of you that Salvador didn’t want me!”
“He loved me! It was me! Why do you want to snatch him away from me?”

“My brother died, I have nothing left, can’t you let me be?”
Elisa had a crazy look on her face, crying and then laughing again.
“Your brother would die; it’s his fault.”
Elisa was taken aback by the words, and then she started trembling as if she had thought of something.
Your brother stole the USB drive that I was supposed to give to Salvador back then, and he had an accident on the way.
And what about you? You knew all this early on, yet you were enjoying Salvador’s guilt.
“Elisa, you have been proud for so many years, it’s time to give it back.”
The girl in front, however, shook her head as if unwilling to accept.
“No, no…”
“Is what you said true?”
A man’s voice came, and Elisa trembled like a sieve.
I didn’t want to see the confrontation between the two anymore because the time had come.
Noah’s car was parked at the entrance.
I opened the car door three steps.
Salvador wanted to come over and pull me, but he was held back by Elisa.
“Go away!” Elisa was pushed to the ground.
I thought about that night at the entrance of the police station.
The car window closed
isolating the noise.
Noah asked me, “Are you okay?”
I smiled indifferently.
In the dim light, Salvador’s hand tapped on the car window, making a thumping sound.
He was shouting something, but I couldn’t hear clearly.
The sound insulation is really good.
The car started, and I leaned against the car window.
