Chapter 25 Beneath the Eclipse
Roseline’s POV:
The following day, I woke up to an empty room.
Did Caden actually stay in the study all night?
I rubbed my temples, realizing I might’ve misunderstood him.

A man like him, sitting at the top of the world, probably has countless women throwing themselves at him. To him, I was just some low–level Omega.
Why would he be interested in me like that?
Honestly, it was better this way. In three months, we’d go our separate ways, end this engagement peacefully, and I could finally give my grandfather an explanation.
With that in mind, all the awkward feelings from last night disappeared.
After breakfast, I headed to Eclipse Group to pass the time.
As soon as I got there, Stella called me over.
“What’s up?” I looked at her coolly. This woman was always up to something; I felt she had a new trick in mind.
“Roseline, you’ve been here at Eclipse Group for a few days. I want you to handle the next season’s
collaboration with Lady Couture in Montagne.” She handed me a stack of documents. “These are the project. details; take a look.”
I glanced at the papers and saw nothing complicated. “Sure,” I replied casually.
Stella’s POV:
Watching Roseline walk away, I felt a surge of anger. I wanted to transform into a wolf and tear this insufferable Omega apart.
She probably didn’t even know that I was managing the Lady Couture collaboration until now.
But just this morning, Caden ordered me to hand the project over to her.
Why? What made her so special? Was it just because she was his fiancée?
My phone pinged with a message from Wendy.
“How’s that thing I mentioned last time?”
I thought for a moment before replying, “Don’t worry, Ms. Crawford. I’ll make sure that country bumpkin is gone for good this time!”
“Hurry up!”
Just two words, but Wendy was clearly running out of patience.

Roseline’s POV
After a busy day, I had nearly finished reviewing the documents Stella gave
Eclipse Group planned to launch a few jewelry pieces for the collaboration next season, and my job was to oversee the progress. Simple stuff
Work was smooth, but when I got home, I found all my things had been moved to a room on the first floor -the servant quarters.
“Who moved my stuff?” I asked, annoyed.
Queenie strutted over in her heels, smirking openly. “I told them to move it. Got a problem?”
“Didn’t your mother teach you that touching other people’s things without permission is stealing?” I couldn’t believe how clueless you were.
“Oh please! It’s just a couple of shabby suitcases Queenie’s tone dripped with scorn. “Precious as they may be to you, we all know you’re from the countryside. Eclipse Pack’s been so generous in taking you in. feeding, and clothing you. Even the servant’s room here must be much better than wherever you came from. Don’t like it? Then get out!”

1 looked at her like she was an idiot. My grandfather had custom–ordered those leather cases from a master designer. The craftsmanship and materials were top–notch, yet to her, they were ‘shabby

“What’s going on here? Just back from work, Caden walked in, his voice cold as he entered the scene.
“Caden!” Queenie grabbed his arm, playing the victim. “Please, tell me if I’m wrong. I was trying to help Roseline by moving her things, and she accused me of stealing her junky suitcases. No one would pick those up off the street! Why would I want them?”
I almost laughed in disbelief. “Caden, you heard her. She moved my stuffal
asking.”
Caden frowned, subtly pulling his arm from her grasp. “Queenie, did you tell someone to move Roseline’s things?”
His frosty presence made Queenie shrink back a little. “Caden, Aunt Eleanor told me to. She wants to remodel the guest room.”
“It was her?” Caden’s frown deepened.
So it was Eleanor’s doing. I’m still technically a guest in this house. He’d be furious if Eclipse Pack’s Alpha- Richard–found out they shoved me into the servants‘ quarters,
“Move Ms. Sinclair’s things back to my room,” Caden ordered the servants with a quick glance in my

Go to his room? Last night was awkward enough. If I stayed in his room and another scene like that happened, it’d be beyond embarrassing.
Caden’s expression hardened. “Then you’ll stay in the guest room.”
“Fine by me.” I shrugged. I’m not that picky.
He left with a stony expression, and the servants returned my things to the guest room. I unpacked and settled in. Just as I was about to relax, my phone rang.
“Hey, it’s me,” Ryan’s voice came through. “Are you free Sunday night?”
His sudden invitation surprised me. I smiled. “No work on Sunday, so sure. What’s up?”
“My new film’s wrapped up, and I want to celebrate. Meet me at the bar tomorrow night?” Ryan asked, his voice filled with excitement.
“Congratulations!” I was genuinely happy for him. “How about 7 p.m. at the Chroma Lounge? See you then.”
As I hung up, a cold voice spoke from behind me.
“Who were you on the phone with?”
