The sudden voice startled me. I turned around to see den’s familiar, stern face.
“Who I call doesn’t seem to be any of your business, does it?” I stood up, frowning. “And you–why are you barging into my room? Ever heard of knocking?*
My usual attitude made Caden’s expression darken.
“This is my house.” he replied coldly. “I came to tell you I’ll take you to see Grandpa this weekend.”
The Alphas of the Shadow Pack and the Eclipse Pack were like family, bonded for life. Now that I was here in Rivemon, it was only proper as the younger generation to pay my respects to Richard, his grandfather.
“Alright, that’s fine, I agreed.
Caden nodded and turned to leave, but he stopped at the door. “Remember who you are. Don’t go to shady bars with random people and embarrass the Holbrooks.”
Embarrass the Holbrooks?
Caden, who do you think you are? My fiancé? Give me a break.
This is my freedom, and it has nothing to do with the Holbrooks.” I forced a smile, not hiding my irritation. “In three months, our engagement will be over. Caden, aren’t you getting a little too involved?”
I didn’t care that his face was turning as cold as ice. I stood up without hesitation and kicked him out.
I need to rest. If you don’t have anything else, please leavel”
Caden’s handsome face twitched, clearly furious at my words.
But I didn’t care about his expression. I walked over, shoved him out of the room, and slammed the door. behind him.
What a jerk. How dare he eavesdrop while I was on the phone!
After kicking Caden out, I took a deep breath to calm myself and pulled a small laptop out of my suitcase. I opened an encrypted file.
Inside was the design for a new evening gown I’d created.
When Stella had asked me to take on Lady Couture’s latest collaboration project earlier, her face had shown complete disbelief. It made me want to laugh.
Fashion design? That’s my expertise.
No one knew my secret–besides being the Alpha of the Shadow Pack, I had another identity: I was Loc, the most famous fashion designer in the Werewolf Continent.
Two years ago, Loe appeared out of nowhere, designing the wedding dress for a princess’s royal wedding. Loe became an international sensation overnight, topping the global best designer lists ever since.
Keeping up my carefully crafted mystery, Loe was always low–profile, never showing up in person or

People found it intriguing, knowing only my Vastoraname, Loe, No one knew if I was male or female, as All publle statements were handled by the head of Loetudio, Yura Nadine.
It anyone discovered that the renowned Loe was actually a girl in her early 20s, they’d be completely Munned.
I threw myself into my work, adjusting a few design deils. Once satisfied, I sent the finalized sketch to Yura.
“Release this Alice Signature Collection immediately.”
Yura replied promptly. “Got it, Alpha!
Sunday arrived before I knew it.
Bright and early, the dutiful Caden knocked on my door, ready to drive me straight to the Holbrooks
estate.
The Holbrooks estate was a three–story villa on the outskirts of Rivemon, nestled in lush, green mountains and surrounded by serene waters. The scenery was breathtaking, and I thought these two old gentlemen clearly had similar tastes–they both chose peaceful, refined places to retire.
The butler, Leslie, welcomed us warmly.
“Where’s Grandpa?” Caden asked as he stepped inside.
Leslie smiled. “Mr. Holbrook is waiting for you both inside. And you must be Ms. Sinclair; he’s been talking about you for ages.”
I smiled politely and nodded.
Caden extended his arm toward me, but I gave him a wary look. “What are you doing?”
He kept a calm expression. “In front of Grandpa, I hope you’ll make a good impression. His health isn’t great.”
So that’s how it was. No matter what, I genuinely hoped the current Alpha, Richard, would recover soon.
I linked my arm with his and walked with him into the living room.
Inside, an older man with silver hair and gold–rimmed glasses sat with an imposing presence–Alpha Richard of the Eclipse Pack.
“Grandpa.” Caden walked over quickly.
Naturally, I wasn’t about to be left behind, so I followed, greeting the Alpha with a warm smile. “Hello, Mr. Richard.”
Richard stood up, his face filled with affection. “Roseline, it’s been so long. You’ve grown into such a lovely. young woman. Wonderful, just wonderful.”
The last time he’d seen me was five years ago when I was still a shy teenager. Now, I was Alpha of the Shadow Pack.
“Mr. Richard, how’s your health? My grandfather’s always been thinking about vou.” I said sweetly.

Huh? His health was actually stable, and his heartbeat was strong and steady. There weren’t any real issues.
So, Mr. Richard was faking his illness?
I pulled back my sense and thought, Richard is clever. He knew how devoted Caden was to him and used this illness‘ to convince him to bring me here to the Epse Pack to try to build some feelings between us.
But it was all for nothing. We would never work out, and Richard would have to face that reality in three months.
1 glanced over at Caden. This guy wasn’t an Alpha yet, so he couldn’t pick up on his grandfather’s little act.
Then suddenly, Caden took my hand affectionately. Instinctively, I tried to pull away, but I caught the look. in his eyes.
Fine. I’d promised to play nice for Richard’s sake, so I just gave a faint smile, letting him hold my hand for
now.
Seeing us holding hands, Richard’s eyes sparkled with satisfaction.
At that moment, Leslie’s voice came from the doorway, “Alpha, Ms. Crawford from the Wild Pack has arrived.”
