Counterback of the Despised Lona
Chapter 37 Cousin
Queenie’s POV:
Fincheit
I woke up in the middle of the night, hearing what seemed like some noise coming from the living room, so I got up to check.
To my surprise, as soon as I stepped out of my room, aw Rosaline and Caden walking up the stairs, closely holding each other.
A closer look revealed that Caden was reeking of alcohol–he was drunk.
I was so shocked that I felt my eyes might pop out.
Since I arrived at Eclipse Pack when I was seven, I had never seen Caden drunk before.
Now, not only was he intoxicated, but he was also being supported by Rosaline, with his whole body leaning into hers.
I was certain that Rosaline was behind this–she must be trying to seduce Caden.
Unable to contain myself, I strode over and grabbed Rosaline’s arm. “What are you doing, getting Caden drunk in the middle of the night? Are you trying to take advantage of him?”
Rosaline looked at me with a calm, indifferent expression. Tm Caden’s fiancée. He’s mine, and I don’t need to get him drunk to seduce him.”
“You’re
I was at a loss for words, biting my lip and following behind Rosaline. “Caden doesn’t need you to help him, let me do it.”
“Fine, then,” Rosaline said, unexpectedly pushing Cader toward me.
“Caden, are you all right?” I asked, both surprised and relieved as I caught him.
This was the closest I’d ever been to him. The strong smell of alcohol mixed with his masculine scent. made my heart race.
But he was so heavy, I had to use both hands to support him.
Rosaline smiled at me, shook her head, and turned to walk back to her room.
I struggled to help Caden onto the bed, then carefully removed his shoes. “Caden, what’s going on? Why did you drink so much?”
Caden opened his eyes just a bit, and in his dazed state, he mumbled, “You’re not Tessa.”
“What? Caden, what did you say?” I couldn’t hear him clearly, so I asked again.
But Caden just closed his eyes and quickly drifted off into a deep sleep.
Sitting at the edge of the bed. I stared at his handsome face, mesmerized.
In his deep sleep, his facial features were softer than usual–less stern and more relaxed–but st strikingly handsome. The sight made my heart flutter.

“Caden, why do you always ignore me? I don’t want to just be your cousin,” I said softly, gently caressing hist face.
I had liked Caden ever since I was 14 when I first started developing feelings. I had liked him even back
then.
But he only ever saw me as his cousin, a little sister, treating me with indifference.
The truth was, I wasn’t his cousin–1 was adopted.
I also had the right to be his Lana.
Looking at Caden’s peaceful sleeping face, I could no longer hold back and leaned down, gently kissing
him.
Rosaline’s POV:
Back in my room, I couldn’t stop thinking about the look Queenie had given me earlier.
I knew exactly what it meant.
I had seen that look in Wendy’s eyes before, and also in Stella’s.
Does Queenie like Caden?
But isn’t Queenie Caden’s cousin?
Queenie and Caden share blood ties.
I shook my head, thinking their relationship was so complicated. No wonder Caden treated me the way he did. He probably flirted with young girls all the time, and now even his cousin was falling for him.
I suddenly realized I was holding a diamond button in my hand.
It was the button from Caden’s suit sleeve.
It must have come off during our earlier scuffle.
After a moment’s thought, I turned and headed to Caden’s room, planning to return it. I didn’t want to be accused of stealing again.
Caden’s door was slightly ajar, and I gently pushed it open.
“Caden… Before I could finish my sentence, I froze in shock at the sight before me.
Queenie was kissing Caden.
When she heard the noise, Queenie quickly pulled away, and when she saw me standing at the door, she panicked.
I confronted her. “Queenie, what do you think you’re doing?”
Cueenie’s evec briefly flickered with ouilt before the foured herself to set calm. “Caden was drunk. I wis

just wiping his mouth.”
“So, you were using your mouth to wipe? I said sarcastically.
Caden’s eyes were closed, his breathing steady. He seemed to be asleep.
He was so drunk, he probably wouldn’t even remember what Queenie had done to him.

I couldn’t help but wonder if these two had some secret relationship, but I quickly dismissed the thought.
Earlier, Caden had been calling out for “Tessa. That had to be something to do with her, not Queenie.
And besides, with Caden’s status, there was no way he would engage in an incestuous relationship with a cousin.
So this must be Queenie’s one–sided infatuation.
“I don’t spread any nonsense!” After I exposed her thoughts, Queenie seemed flustered.
| you,
I glanced at her coldly. I’m not interested in watching your live show, but Queenie, let me warn you- while I still live here and haven’t broken off my engagement with Caden, you’d better keep those dirty thoughts to yourself, or else…
I paused, locking eyes with her. “If your forbidden relationship with Caden becomes the next trending topic, the consequences will be on you.”
“Rosaline, you’ve gone too far!” Queenie’s face changed, and she jumped up from the bed, raising her hand to slap me across the face.
I laughed coldly and grabbed her arm, shoving her back with force. She stumbled and fell to the ground.
“Rosaline, how dare you hit me?” Queenie cried, her face burning with anger from the fall.
“And what if I did?” I took a step forward.
Queenie quickly retreated several steps. I smirked and turned, walking away without a second glance.
Back in my room, the more I thought about it, the stranger it felt, so I texted Anthony.
“Help me find out what kind of relationship Queenie and Caden have.”
