Chapter 49 Caden Hurt
Finished
When I looked more closely, 1 realized it was Stella.
Caden yanked his arm away with a look of disdain, snapping, “Stella, why are you still hanging around? I told you I never wanted to see you again! Just leave already!”
“Caden, I beg you, don’t dismiss me,” Stella’s eyes reddened as tears cascaded down her cheeks like a shattered string of pearls. “Even if you make me cleanors, just don’t fire me. Let me stay at the company, near you….
Before Stella could finish her plea, Caden cut her off with irritation. “Didn’t I tell you to go? Do you not understand plain words? The Eclipse Pack has no place for someone who puts their selfish motives above the company’s well–being.”
“Caden, I was wrong. I admit it Stella sobbed desperately, tears pouring down her face, “I know I shouldn’t have done anything to hurt the company’s interests, but it was my overwhelming love for you that led me astray. Please, Caden, don’t cast me aside!
“You have no idea how deeply I care for you. I’d do absolutely anything, as long as I can stay by your side.
The sight made my skin crawl–how could Stella be this relentless?
Unable to hold back, I stepped forward and spoke up. “Stella, can’t you see that Caden doesn’t want to deal with you? Clinging to him like this is hardly admirable, don’t you think?”
“Rosaline! Why are you here?” Stella finally noticed me her eyes brimming with envy and spite.
I’m his fiancée. Don’t you think it’s perfectly natural for us to be together?” I replied, gripping Caden’s
arm.
Caden’s lips curled into a slight smile as he extended his other hand to clasp mine.
Ugh, the warmth of his touch sent a wave of heat rushing to my cheeks.
This was all just a performance to get rid of Stella–did he really need to make it so believable?
“Rosaline, it’s all your fault! You’re the one who took Caden away!” Stella shouted at me, her voice filled with fury. “If it weren’t for you, he wouldn’t have fired me! Without you, Caden would’ve fallen for me!”
“Stella, get a grip! What makes you think Caden could ever love you?” I said, utterly at a loss for words.
Stella’s eyes filled with tears as she shot me a searing glare. Then, without warning, she trembled and shifted into a black wolf, baring her teeth as she lunged straight for my neck.
“Watch out, Alpha!” Freya’s urgent voice rang out in warning.
A chill ran down my spine. I instinctively shoved Caden aside and stepped back, preparing to shift, but before I could, Caden had already transformed. A massive white wolf now stood protectively in front of
me
Stella’s black wolf couldn’t halt its attack in time, its teeth grazing the white wolf’s arm. Blood sprayed out instantly.

“Caden, are you alright?” I asked worriedly, my eyes fixel on the blood dripping from the white wolf’s injured paw.
The black wolf had already collapsed to the ground, trembling uncontrollably, its low growls a clear sign of surrender.
“Caden. I’m sorry! I didn’t mean for this to happen–I never wanted to hurt you!” Stella sobbed as she shifted back into her human form, throwing herself at the white wolf’s feet in tears.
The white wolf transformed back into Caden. Without hesitation, he struck Stella across the face, his expression dark as he lowered his gaze to the blood still seeping from his hand.
The wound wasn’t wide, but it was deep, with the flesh spilling out, making it look rather gruesome.
“Rosaline. you b*tch! You’ve hurt Caden!” Stella screamed, shielding her face as she cursed at me.
At that moment, several black wolf warriors, tasked with security, had already rushed over.
I pointed at Stella and ordered, “She injured Mr. Holbrook. Take her into custody immediately.”
The black wolves quickly closed in around Stella.
“I didn’t do it!” Stella screamed, attempting to flee, but the black wolves swiftly tackled her to the ground.
“Mr. Holbrook, are you alright?” The leader of the black wolves, now in his human form after restraining Stella, approached with concern.
I didn’t have time to deal with Stella right then, so I hurried over to inspect Caden’s wound. “You’ve bitten. It needs to be disinfected and bandaged right away.”
Despite Caden’s strength, he wasn’t yet an Alpha and lacked the rapid healing abilities that came with the rank. This kind of injury would take him some time to recover from.
Caden gestured toward a nearby car. “There’s a first aid kit in the trunk.”
“I’ll help you to the car. I felt a pang of guilt, knowing he to protect me, even though I hadn’t needed saving at al

“Alpha, Caden’s white wolf looked really impressive when it protected you just now. Are you sure you’re not thinking about accepting him?” Freya asked, her voice full of admiration inside my mind.
“His feelings are for Tessa,” I said with a sense of helplessness.
“Mr. Holbrook, what do you want us to do with her?” A black wolf warrior approached and asked.
“Forget about it. Just make sure she never shows up at the company again,” Caden responded coldly.
The black wolf warrior looked taken aback. In the Werewolf Continent, it was a serious offense for the heir to be attacked. If Caden chose to press charges. Stella’s life could be in danger.

Stella was already in tears, overwhelmed and unable to express any gratitude. The black wolf gave us a nod of acknowledgment, and two of the black wolves carefully lifted Stella and took her away.
1 assisted Caden into the car and grabbed the first aid kit from the trunk.
Inside, it contained basic medical supplies. I took out some alcohol and cotton swabs, gently cleaning Caden’s wounds.
