Chapter 65 Spokesperson
Tessa…
Her name hit me like a bucket of cold water.
The truth pierced through my haze–my heart belonged to Tessa
What right did I have to embrace another with such fire?
“Think about Tessa, Caden. What would she say?”
Rosaline’s words cut through the air as she turned and walked away,
I could do nothing but saw her off. Frustration filled me like lead.
“Edward, tell me what’s happening to me, I wrestled with my inner wolf.
“Why does seeing her with other men set my blood on fire?
“What drove me to kiss her like that? And why did you encourage it?”
Three questions. I needed a lot of answers.
“I’m wolf–kind,” Edward responded. “My nature calls to her scent. Nothing more.”
“Yet she isn’t meant for us.”
Edward’s low growl echoed my own confusion.
“The Moon Goddess alone knows why we yearn for one who isn’t our destined pair.”
My thoughts turned to Tessa, yet here I stood, powerless against Rosaline’s pull.
One moment more and I would have marked her as mine.
My loyalty to Tessa lay in tatters.

The ghost of Rosaline’s touch lingered on my fingers, the memory of our encounter burned into my mind.
“Curse it all!” My fist crashed onto the desk, sending tremors through the wood.
The sharp pain cleared my head, washing away the last traces of desire.
The truth in Rosaline’s words cut deep–my heart had no right to wander.
Though the likeness between them was striking….
Rosaline’s POV:
My feet carried me back to my desk, my face burning as I fought to steady my racing pulse.
What game was Caden playing?
His mood had shifted like quicksilver–from interrogator to passionate suitor in the blink of an eye.

His touch, his taste…
The memory brought heat to my cheeks.
His reaction spoke of possession, of a lover’s wounded pride.
Could jealousy have driven him?
The thought seemed impossible.
His devotion to Tessa was absolute!
“Alpha,” Freya’s voice whispered, “the connection between us felt right.”
I pushed her words aside.
Two encounters had passed, and my body sang for his touch.
Yet the Moon Goddess had shown no sign.
The truth remained–Caden and I were not destined mates.
“If this happens again, Freya, spring forth and toss him around a little.”

In the days that followed, Caden and I slipped into a silent standoff.
I kept my distance, and he fell back into his usual cold, detached demeanor.
Neither of us brought up what had happened between us.
I threw myself into the Ice and Fire project, focusing all my attention there. The work went smoothly, surpassing even our original goals.
Bruce was pleased.
Once the samples were ready, I called Bruce. “Mr. Collins, the “Ice and Fire‘ samples are finished. Are you free? I can bring them by.”
His voice held surprise. “Already?”
“Yes,” I said, feeling satisfied with how fast it had come together. “Are you at Hearthstone Hotel? I can come
over now.”
“Yes, I’m in Room 808.”
1 arrived at the Hearthstone Hotel with the samples, where Bruce was waiting for me.
“Mr. Collins, here are the ‘Ice and Fire‘ samples. Please let me know if anything needs to be changed.” I carefully took the samples out of my bag and handed them to him.
Bruce inspected them, his face lighting up with approval. “This is exactly what I wanted. Perfect.”
“If you’re happy with them, we can start planning the ad shoot and the launch event to get “Ice and Fire out

Bruce nodded, barely containing his excitement. “I can’t wait to get it on the market”
Just as I was about to ask Brice for his thoughts on the models for the advertisement, a knock came at the
door.
“Who’s there?” Bruce asked, his voice low.
A woman’s soft voice responded from the other side. “Darling, it’s me
Darling!
I glanced at Bruce, puzzled.
Bruce rose from his seat and walked to the door.
When he opened it, a striking woman stood there–a tall, elegant figure with pale skin, wearing a bright red dress that commanded attention.
“Annie? What are you doing here?” Bruce’s voice held a hint of surprise.
I had heard about his new girlfriend, a rising star in the industry. I assumed this was her.
“I missed you, so I thought I’d surprise you,” Annie said, flashing a playful smile and kissing him deeply.
Bruce seemed slightly uncomfortable, shifting his posture. “We have company, Annic. Not right now.”
Annie broke away from him and looked at me, her gaze curious. “Who’s this?”
Bruce raised an eyebrow and gestured toward me. “This is Annie, my girlfriend.”
He then turned to Annic. “This is Rosaline, a partner at Eclipse Group.”
“Nice to meet you, Annie,” I said with a calm smile. “Mr. Collins, if you’re tied up, should we find another time?”
“Oh, it’s no matter,” Bruce replied, settling back down beside me. “Work always comes first. Let’s keep going.”
I nodded and pulled out a file. “Here’s the list of potential candidates for the ‘Ice and Fire‘ ad. Take a look and let me know who you think would fit.
“An ad shoot? Can I be in it?” Annie jumped in without hesitation.
Bruce sighed, half–amused and half–exasperated. “Annie, stop.”
“I’m serious,” she insisted, flipping through the materials. “This is made for me. Bruce, you promised me at birthday gift, and I want to be the Eclipse Group’s spokesperson. You have to keep your word.”
Bruce glanced at me, clearly unsure. “Ms. Sinclair, what do you think of Annie?”
I studied her carefully. She was certainly beautiful, but her look leaned more toward ‘Fire‘ than ‘Ice. Still, she had the fiery side covered.
“She could work, I said with a thoughtful nod. Even though she’s not all that famous.
Annie blew me a playful kiss. “Thanks! But who’s the male model? I really hope it’s Jasper.”
