Wendy’s POV:
The news from the set left me fuming.

1 had schemed to provoke Annie into dealing with Rosaline, but who could’ve guessed Annie was incompetent? One round and she was utterly defeated.
What on earth does Rosaline, a low–ranking Omega, have that let her slip through trouble every time?
I decided to call Lilian for a shopping trip to calm my nerves. Just as I was about to head out, my butler approached and announced, “Ms. Wendy. Ms. Dixon is here to see you.”
I waved him off impatiently. “Not interested.”
“Yes. The butler bowed and left.
After setting a shopping date with Lilian, I got in my car and drove out.
However, as I exited the Crawford estate, a figure darted in front of my car.
Startled, I slammed the brakes and nearly smashed my head into the windshield.
“Which d’mn lunatic is this?” I stormed out of the car, only to see Stella standing there.
Frowning, I snapped, “Are you insane? Why are you blocking my car?”
“Ms. Crawford, you’ve got to help me,” Stella pleaded, looking utterly disheveled.
I didn’t need a recap of her situation. She had been banished from Eclipse Group after attacking Caden. While she hadn’t been officially cast out of the Eclipse Pack, her current status was as good as a rogue.
“Help you? I haven’t even settled accounts with you yet!” My temper flared. “Who told you to attack Caden?”
“That was an accident! Rosaline was my target!” Stella gritted her teeth, her eyes burning with hatred. “But who would’ve thought Caden would shield that lowly Omega? If it weren’t for her, I wouldn’t have been expelled, and I wouldn’t be jobless now!”
I smirked coldly. “So? If Rosaline’s the one who ruined you, why aren’t you going after her?”
“You think I don’t want to?” Stella’s fists clenched tightly. “But Rosaline’s always either at Eclipse Group Caden’s place. I can’t get anywhere near her!”
or at
“Hmm “I pretended to ponder. “I heard she’s scheduled to film an outdoor shoot at Lover’s Lake tomorrow. You know, the lake’s pretty deep. If someone were to put wolfsbane in the water beforehand and Rosaline just so happened to ‘accidentally drown‘… Well, accidents happen, don’t they?
“Accidentally drowned… “Stella repeated with her eyes darkening with malice.
“Take this money for now.” I pulled out a stack of cash from my wallet and handed it to Stella. “As long as you can get it done, I’ll make sure you return to Eclipse Group.”
“Really?” Her eyes lit up with desperate hope.

picture, Caden will remember how much you’ve done for him. After all, you’ve been with Eclipse Group for years. Even if you don’t have major accomplishments, you’ve worked hard. When the time comes, I’ll put in a good word for you. Your comeback is guaranteed”
“You’re right, Stella said, clutching the cash tightly. “Ms. Crawford, don’t worry. By tomorrow, Rosaline will be nothing but a memory”
I smirked in my heart. Stella’s hatred for Rosaline burned brightly enough to make her reckless–she’d take care of everything
“Good. I’ll wait for your good news.”
Once Rosaline was eliminated, there would be no one standing in my way of becoming the Luna of Eclipse Pack.
As soon as Stella left, I sent Queenie a message.
“Go to Lover’s Lake at 9 a.m. tomorrow–don’t miss the show.”
Queenie hated Rosaline as much as I did. If Stella somehow failed, Queenie would be my backup plan.
Rosaline, your time is up.
Later, I shopped with Lilian until late into the night, buying plenty of things and having her carry the bags like a good little servant. On our way back, a familiar Rolls–Royce caught my eye.
What a coincidence–it was Caden’s car, heading toward the outskirts.
“Quick, follow that car!” I hurriedly instructed the driver.
Caden’s car drove straight toward the countryside, and Lilian, sitting beside me, looked puzzled. “Wendy, where do you think he’s going?”
A sudden idea struck me, and I quickly asked, “What’s today’s date?”
“June 5th,” Lilian replied, still confused.
I nodded knowingly. “If I’m not mistaken, today is the anniversary of Caden’s father’s death.”
I remembered hearing from my brother that every year on this date, Caden would visit the graveyard to pay his respects to his father.
“Stay close and don’t lose him,” I instructed the driver.
Caden’s POV:
The family graveyard of the Eclipse Pack lay on the outskirts of Rivemon.
After parking. I walked up the winding path to the very top of the hill.
At the very center of the hill stood a solemn gravestone.
It was the resting place of my father, George Holbrook.
I cleared away the overgrown grass as my gaze rested on the photograph etched into the stone. The man in the picture bore a striking resemblance to me.

Chapter 78 The Burnt of Liquor
“Dad, I’m here,” I murmured softly.

When I was 15, my father had gone on a yacht trip and encountered a violent storm. The yacht sank, and he vanished without a trace.
Grandpa led the entire pack in a relentless search across the ocean for seven days before finally recovering his body.
Everyone claimed it was an accident, but I’ve never believed that.
The yacht my father used was manufactured by one of the world’s top factories and was designed to withstand storms. Even with the gale that day, it shouldn’t have capsized so easily.
Moreover, my father, as an Alpha, was an experienced sailor and an exceptional swimmer. There were several islands near where the yacht sank. With his abilities, he could have easily swarm to safety. How could he have drowned?
Back then, Grandpa had his suspicions as well. He spent a year thoroughly investigating every corner of the Eclipse Pack but found no evidence or anomalies.
Since then, the heavy responsibilities of the pack had fallen onto my shoulders.
I was 15 years old.
I took out a bottle of my father’s favorite vodka and poured two full glasses.
“Dad, this one’s for you.” I left one on the tombstone and I downed the other glass in one gulp.
“Dad, I know your death wasn’t an accident. Rest assured, I will uncover the truth of what happened that year. I won’t let your death remain a mystery.”
As I finished speaking, the rain began to pour, drenching me completely. I didn’t care. Sitting in front of my father’s grave, I drank glass after glass of the strong vodka.
The burn of the liquor coursing down my throat began to make me feel lightheaded. The cemetery was quiet, surrounded by the slumbering elders of the Eclipse Pack. With their presence, I felt a strange sense of
peace.
“Dad, did you know? I still haven’t found Tessa. It’s been so many years… Grandpa has arranged a marriage for me. Her name is Rosaline. If Tessa weren’t in the picture, I might have accepted her. But I promised Tessa I’d make her my Luna. Tell me, Dad, what should I do?”
I downed another glass of vodka.
In my blurred vision, Tessa’s face appeared, only to be replaced by Rosaline’s.
