The reporters, sensing the tension in the room, immediately leaned forward, their voices tinged with anticipation. “Ms. Sinclair, are you suggesting…?” one of them asked, his curiosity piqued,
Yes, Eclipse Group’s underground garage had surveillance footage. I had gone to the control room this morning and requested the footage from that day.
I pulled out my tablet and brought up the video. On the screen, the sound of Stella yelling for me to die could be heard, followed by her transformation into a wolf and charging at me.
The reporters gasped, their eyes wide in shock as the fierce image of the black wolf appeared.
I paused the video and spoke, my voice icy, “As you can see, it wasn’t me who tried to harm her–it was Stella. Just like that day at Lover’s Lake, she attempted to push me into the water, even poisoning it with wolfsbane. But as they say, what goes around comes around. She lost her footing and fell in herself”
Then I held up a chemical analysis report. “Here’s the police department’s report on the lake water, confirming the presence of wolfsbane. Lover’s Lake is a naturally formed body of water, a popular spot for wedding photoshoots, and it’s never been known to have wolfsbane growing there. While it’s not conclusive that she poisoned the lake, this proves that despite the danger of the wolfsbane, I still jumped in to save her.”
The live broadcast, along with the chemical report and footage, was being watched by viewers across the
country.
The comments flooded in.
“Oh, my God. Stella really isn’t as innocent as she seems!”
–“Didn’t see this big twist coming.”
“Rosaline risking her life to save her from the wolfsbane proves she’s not as bad as Stella made her out to be!”
“This plot keeps getting better. I’ll grab more popcorn!”
“Jasper is so handsome! Anyone else here for him? Unconditional support for Jasper and Rosaline!*
Stella’s face contorted with rage as she shouted, “Rosaline, you’re lying! You’re the one who pushed me into the water!”
“Lying?” I raised an eyebrow, a cold smile curling my lips. “Wasn’t it you who kept yelling, ‘Rosaline, die“?”
The reporters all looked at Stella, their eyes filled with suspicion.
Flustered, Stella stammered, “E–even if I did want you dead, that doesn’t mean anything. That’s one thing, this is another.”
I let out a soft laugh. “So you admit it now? You wanted me dead, right?”
“You’re lying!” Stella’s face turned crimson with fury. She bit her lip hard, her nails digging into her skin as she glared at me. “Stop twisting things! No matter what you say, you can’t change the fact that you pushed me into the water at Lover’s Lake!”

“Stella, you really are stubborn,” I muttered under my breath before pulling out something Anthony had given me.
I opened the file. “Here’s your browsing history, Stella. It shows you searched for how to buy wolfsbane and how to kill someone without anyone noticing. The most frequent search? How to push someone into the water and make it look like an accident.”
“No, that’s not true! You’re framing me!” Stella’s eyes widened in panic as she saw the evidence. She quickly regained her composure and snapped, “You forged that! I never searched for anything like that! Rosaline, you’re shameless for accusing me!”
I smiled faintly. “I’ve already asked Officer Hodges to retrieve your computer. You might have deleted your history, but a skilled hacker can still recover it. When the time comes, we’ll see if I’ve wronged you.”
Stella was left speechless, her mouth opening and closing in frustration.
I shook a voice recorder in front of her. “This, I think, will interest everyone.”
The room fell silent as I clicked the play button. A conversation filled the room. It was Stella talking to Milana.
“Stella, your dad’s gambling again, and he lost a lot of money. The creditors came this morning, shouting and threatening to harm him. When are you going to help pay off the debt?” Milana’s voice was loud and filled with worry.
“Mom, don’t worry. Just give me a little more time. After tomorrow, I’ll be back at Eclipse Group. Then, I’ll have the money to pay you back.” Stella’s voice was full of determination, as if she were confident her plan would succeed.
“Really?” Milana’s tone was skeptical.
“Of course, it’s true! As soon as I get rid of Rosaline, I can return to Eclipse Group,” Stella said, her voice dripping with malice.
“Are you sure?” Milana followed up with another question.
“A hundred percent. Tomorrow’s the best chance. Rosaline is going to Lover’s Lake for a photoshoot. I’ll wait for the perfect moment, and when no one’s looking, I’ll push her into the water. It’ll look like an accident, and no one will suspect a thing.”
The room erupted with shock as the reporters realized the truth of what they had just heard. Everything they thought they knew was now a lie.
I stopped the recording and turned to Stella, my gaze cold. “What do you have to say for yourself now?”
Stella’s face turned several shades of green and white, and she was completely at a loss for words.
How could she have possibly imagined I’d uncover the recording of her conversation with Milana?
“Everyone, I’m sure you all saw what just happened,” the gossip reporter spoke up, addressing the live audience. “The case that caused so much drama at Lover’s Lake has now completely flipped.
“Based on the evidence Ms. Rosaline has provided, it appears that Stella may have planned everything from the start. Of course, the authorities will confirm the truth, and like all of us, we are waiting for a fair and just resolution.”

The live chat exploded with comments.
“Ahhh! Stella is such a shameless woman! Why didn’t she drown!”
“So we all misunderstood Rosaline! I’m sorry!”
“Rosaline’s comeback was amazing. I’m in love with her!”
“Rosaline, you’re a goddess, beautiful inside and out. Marry me!
“Quit dreaming. She’s mine!”
