Chapter 97 The Vanished Trending Topic
The elevator doors had just slid open when Caden’s phone buzzed.

“Grandpa, what’s the matter?” he answered the call, his expression calm and composed, not bothering to step away from me.
Since he addressed the caller as “Grandpa,” it could only mean that Richard, the Alpha of the Eclipse Pack, was the one who called him.
“It’s been days since I last saw you and Rosaline,” came the elder’s familiar, warm voice. “When will you both have time to visit the old house and see me?”
Caden glanced at me briefly before nodding. “I’ll come by when I have some free time.”
“No need to wait for free time. Why not tonight? I’ll ask the kitchen to cook your favorite dishes.”
After Richard ended the call, Caden turned his gaze toward me.
“What’s up?” I feigned curiosity, despite having heard every word of the conversation.
“Grandpa wants us to come to the old mansion for dinner tonight,” he said evenly.
“Oh, I see,” I replied nonchalantly.
Both my grandpa and his were calling us at the same time. It felt a little too coincidental.
“I’ll pick you up after work,” he added.
Back at the office, I had barely settled into my seat when Sally bounded over, her face glowing with excitement.
“Rosie, your move this morning was legendary! You completely crushed that shameless woman, Stella!” Her eyes sparkled with admiration as she looked at me.
I offered a small, indifferent smile. “She brought it on herself.”
“Rosie, how can you be so calm? Do you even realize how popular you are online right now?” Sally whipped out her phone, practically shoving it in front of me. Her tone was laced with excitement. “Look! You’re trending at number one on all the major platforms!”
I glanced down at the screen, barely interested, but the video staring back at me was hard to miss. Footage of me performing CPR on Stella.
What a headache. Somehow, I had become the newest darling of the Werewolf Continent, hailed as a goddess with beauty, kindness, and skill.
Of course, the gossip didn’t stop there. Most of the chatter was about my relationship with Caden.
“Ms. Sinclair is so beautiful, and Mr. Holbrook is so handsome. They’re the perfect couple!”
“I’m fully shipping Rosaline and Mr. Holbrook as a power couple!”

“I heard Rosaline is just a scheming Omega from the countryside. She doesn’t deserve Mr. Holbrook at all!
I massaged my temples. My original purpose for visiting the hospital was to reveal Stella’s wrongdoings.
What I hadn’t anticipated was Caden showing up and declaring me his fiancée in front of a swarm of reporters. Now, the media frenzy was spiraling out of control, far beyond anything I wanted.
After thinking for a while, I sent a message to Anthony,
“Help me take down all trending news about me immediately.
Anthony replied playfully, “Why, Wilda? You look gorgeous in the photos and videos, and your fiancé is super handsome too. Why not let us enjoy the eye candy a bit longer?”
I typed back sharply, “Stop wasting time. Just do it. You’ve got 30 minutes. I don’t want to see a single article about me by then.”
“Yes, Ma’am!”
Caden’s POV:
The internet was practically on fire. Rosaline was the center of attention, her image glowing with positivity. Naturally, there were plenty of mentions of me as well.
I was scrolling through the posts leisurely, my interest piqued by the sheer creativity of the netizens who already edited countless photos of us together.
I was enjoying it.
However, as I scrolled, I saw something unusual. All of the Rosaline–related trending topics began to disappear one by one, and within minutes, everything was gone.
Not a single post remained, no matter how many times I searched.
What was going on?
This was strange.
I had explicitly allowed the media to report on the incident. No one would dare take it down without my
consent.
Considering how much traffic those headlines had generated, no media outlet in their right mind would remove them voluntarily.
I called Yale into my office. “Find out who removed the trending topics and why.”
“Yes, Sir,” Yale responded respectfully, adding that he, too, had noticed the sudden disappearance of the
news.
This whole situation was far too strange.
Aside from the Eclipse Pack, who else could wield such influence to have every media outlet remove top- ranking trending topics across the entire network in mere minutes?

Not even half an hour had passed before Anthony’s message arrived.
“Wilda, the task is complete. Everything’s been taken care of.”
I replied with satisfaction, “Good. I knew I could count on you,”

But Anthony wasn’t done being nosy. “By the way, are you and Caden engaged like the rumors say? I’m guessing it’s true. Honestly, only someone like Mr. Holbrook could control you, Wilda.”
Rolling my eyes, I typed back curtly, “Since when was that any of your business?”
Control me? What kind of nonsense was that?
Setting my phone aside, I quickly checked several major websites. As expected, every last piece of news about me had vanished without a trace.
The world was finally at peace.
Feeling much lighter, I immersed myself in work again. The chaos earlier with Stella had delayed the filming schedule for the Ice and Fire commercial, and I needed to make up for lost time.
I rescheduled the shoot with Jasper and Naomi, and then called Bruce to finalize the date for the upcoming press conference.
Everything was falling into place; now, all that remained was the finishing touch. Once the commercial was completed, we’d be ready to officially launch the new product.
The afternoon flew by in a blur of meetings and calls. I was so engrossed that I lost track of time until Caden called me.
“Are you ready to leave?” Caden’s calm voice came through the line.
I glanced at the clock only to find that it was past the time to get off work.
“Yes,” I replied, packing up quickly. I didn’t want to keep the Eclipse Pack’s Alpha waiting.
Caden’s car cruised steadily along the road, his big hands held the steering wheel firmly.
I sat in the passenger seat, quietly watching the scenery blur past the window.
Then his phone rang, breaking the silence. It was a call from Yale.
“What is it?” Caden asked as he answered.
“Sir, I’ve found out who’s behind it,” Yale reported, “The person who had the trending topics removed is none other than the renowned hacker, Anthony.”
