Chapter 98 Caden Needs Some Rejuvenation

“Anthony? Why would a hacker take down the trending search topics? Caden asked, his tone laced with curiosity.
“That’s unclear. This is all we’ve been able to uncover so far, Yale replied honestly. “Maybe he did that to show off his skills?”
“Keep digging,” Caden said with a sigh before hanging up the phone.
Hearing Anthony’s name mentioned caught me off guard.
I didn’t expect Caden to investigate Anthony.
What exactly was he investigating?
Could he have stumbled upon my connection with Anthony?
Luckily, Caden stayed focused on driving and didn’t press me for details about Anthony.
I made a mental note to warn Anthony. Being targeted by the Eclipse Pack’s heir wasn’t something to take lightly.
The car sped through the roads, and before long, we arrived at the Eclipse Pack’s old mansion.
We hadn’t even stepped inside when Dulce, the family’s dog, came bounding out to greet us, its tail wagging furiously.
“Do you still remember me, huh?” I squatted down, reaching out to pat its silky fur.
“Woof! Woof! Woof!” Dulce barked cheerfully.
“Even Dulce misses you, Rosie.” Richard chuckled as he stroked his beard. “You must visit the old mansion more often.”
“Got it, Grandpa,” Caden answered on my behalf before I could get a word in.
I stared at him, utterly speechless. Who gave him the right to decide for me?
“Come inside and have a seat,” Richard said, cradling Dulce in his arms as he led us into the living room. He cast me a warm smile. “Let’s sit down for a while. Dinner will be ready soon.”
“Okay.” I nodded obediently.
“After dinner, you two will stay the night here,” Richard declared, leaving no room for negotiation.
It wasn’t until later that I learned the real reason behind his insistence. Earlier that afternoon, Richard had a chat with my grandfather. The retired and current Alpha had come to a mutual agreement that Caden and I were moving far too slowly in their eyes. So, naturally, Richard decided to take matters into his own hands and give our relationship a little push.
“Alright,” Caden agreed without hesitation.
I stared at the pair of them, utterly exasperated. Could this duo, one old and one young, respect my opinion?

“Come on, let’s eat!” Richard suddenly rose to his feet, striding energetically toward the dining room.
The dining table was a feast of decadent dishes, each one more lavish than the last.
As I glanced at the spread, my eyes drifted toward the plates set in front of Caden. Something about them stood out.
Steamed salmon with ginger, raw oysters, and creamy avocado saffron. Wait a second, these were all aphrodisiac foods!
What exactly was this old Alpha from the Eclipse Pack scheming?
I was still lost in thought when Richard picked up a plate of raw oysters and placed it on Caden’s plate with great gusto. “Caden, eat more of this. You know what they say, what you eat replenishes what you need.”
What you eat replenishes what you need?!
Caden’s lips twitched as he stared at the plate of raw oysters sitting on his plate.
“Grandpa, do I really need this?” he asked, his voice tinged with exasperation.
Richard completely ignored him, continuing to pile food onto his plate. “And this salmon, avocado, and saffron were excellent for your stamina!”
Unable to hold back, I let out a soft laugh and whispered, “You’re not able to… ”
Caden’s handsome face turned stern, and with a low scoff, he leaned closer, his voice dripping with restrained irritation. “Do you want to find out yourself?”
Well, someone’s got a temper.
After dinner, Richard wasted no time shooing us upstairs and into Caden’s room.
“Um, I think I’ll just stay in the guest room,” I spoke weakly.
However, Richard wasn’t having any of it. With a stern glare and a huff of indignation, he declared, “All the guest rooms are under renovation. No one can stay there.”
I glanced around the house and couldn’t spot a single sign of construction.
“You youngsters are more uptight than me, an old relic?” Richard grumbled before practically shoving me into Caden’s room. To top it off, he locked the door behind us before leaving.
That was when it all clicked. This Alpha had lost his mind. He was desperate to hold a great–grandchild in his arms.
I turned to the door, determined to open it, but before I could act, Caden suddenly approached me, stretched out his hands to cage me, and slammed me against the door panel with one swift motion.
“What are you doing?” I asked, staring up at the towering figure of this werewolf CEO.
He leaned in, his breath brushing against my ear as he spoke in a low, raspy voice, “Who said that I wasn’t capable earlier?”
