Counterback of the Despised Luna
Chapter 99 Can You Tell Me About Tessa?
Rosaline’s POV:
The scent of Caden’s mature masculinity hit me, his voice rich and magnetic, low and alluring.
I hesitated for a moment, carefully choosing my words. “It’s your grandfather.”
“Hm? Is that so?” Caden raised an eyebrow.
“Yes, he made you eat that; doesn’t that mean he thinks you’re incapable?”
“How dare you.” Caden’s face suddenly darkened, his intense pierce eyes filled with smoldering fire.
His voice grew deep, his body tensed, and his expression shifted uneasily as he watched me.
His lower body pressed close to mine, and I could feel it growing harder.
Oh my god, could Mr. Richard’s concoction really be working?
I instinctively licked my dry lips and argued, “I didn’t say….

As soon as I did it, I regretted it. At this sensitive distance with him holding himself together like that, and me licking my lips was undoubtedly an intense temptation for him.
Sure enough, Caden’s eyes locked onto my lips. I heard him swallow, and without hesitation, he leaned in to kiss me.
My heart thumped violently.
Again?
Caden’s handsome face seemed to grow larger and larger before me.
When our lips met, a wave of intense heat flooded over me. I snapped out of it and quickly turned my head
away.
No, no, this can’t happen. If this continues, I’ll end up sleeping with him.
I pushed Caden away with all my strength and dashed into the bathroom.
“I’m taking a shower.” I slammed the door behind me and shouted.
He didn’t say anything, nor did he follow. A minute or two later, I heard his footsteps walked away.
I let out a quiet sigh of relief. That was close.
He’s already so worked up–what would I have done if he had barged in?
Freya’s voice suddenly echoed deep in my soul. “Alpha, if you can’t make up your mind, I’ll make th decision for you.”
“I’m not! Stop making things up.” I felt embarrassed.
“Alpha, you and I are connected remember? If you really like him, then f*ck him.”

Freya understood my dilemma, but I knew my responsibilities. As an Alpha, I had to think about the future of the Shadow Pack.
My husband had to be the destined mate blessed by the Moon Goddess.
In three months, Caden would become Alpha, and I would leave as promised.
I turned on the hot water and let it wash over me.
Moon Goddess, when will my destined mate appear?
As I ran my hand over my smooth soft skin, I suddenly remembered.
When I agreed to come to the Eclipse Pack, I had no intention of staying. Therefore, I didn’t bring a change of clothes.
What a mess!
Having just escaped Caden’s pursuit of a kiss, I now found myself needing a favor.,
“Caden, come here.” I knocked on the bathroom door, calling out shamelessly.
Caden’s low voice from outside. “What’s up?”
Came
“I didn’t bring any clothes. Can you grab them for me from New Moon City?” I said the words, and I felt my face turn red from the embarrassment.
Caden’s coldly responded, “Grandpa locked the door. How can I go get them?”
“Can’t you ask him to unlock it?” I was almost too embarrassed to look at the floor.
“No.” Caden refused indifferently.
This b*stard, is he holding a grudge against me?
I didn’t know what to do. I couldn’t just rush out in the nude. Should I call Mr. Richard to come open the door?
Then Caden’s deep magnetic voice came again. “Open the door.”
“What for?” I asked warily.
“To give you clothes.” Caden’s voice was clear and calm.
Clothes?
I felt puzzled. I wrapped a towel tightly around myself before opening the door just a crack.
A package was pushed through the small gap. I quickly grabbed it and shut the door again.
Inside was a set of clothes; a brand–new set of women’s lingerie and a clean white shirt.
But the shirt was way too big–it looked like a man’s shirt.
Could it he Caden’s?

I ran my fingers over the underwear and thought. Why did Caden have women’s clothes here?
Does he often bring girls home?
There were no other clothes. I had no choice but to make do.
Surprisingly, the lingerie fit perfectly.
Had he prepared this in advance?
Caden’s POV:
The moment Rosaline stepped out in her clothes, I was frozen in place.

Her wet hair still dripped with water, her curves barely concealed beneath the shirt, and her long legs were undeniably seductive.
“Caden, where did you get these women’s clothes?” Rosaline seemed to notice my gaze, tucking a lock of hair behind her ear. Her voice was cold. “Do you often bring girls back here?”
I chuckled softly, my voice low. “What, are you jealous?”
“Answer me directly.” Rosaline said seriously.
I cleared my throat. “I don’t know. It was just lying on the couch. Probably grandpa had Willa prepare it for you.”
Rosaline’s expression changed when she heard this. Finally, she sighed with a wry smile. “Ah, the Alpha of the Eclipse Pack, always thinking ahead.”
“I’m tired. I need to sleep.” Rosaline glanced at the large bed in the center of the room, her tone serious. “I’ll take the bed tonight, and you can sleep on the couch.”
“That won’t do.” I naturally refused. “I’m used to the bed. I can’t sleep on the couch.”
“Then I’ll sleep on the couch.” Rosaline said, heading toward the sofa.
I grabbed her arm. “You’re the guest. You can’t sleep on the couch.”
Maybe I pulled her too forcefully, because Rosaline lost her balance and stumbled into my arms with a surprised cry.
She quickly pushed me away and glared, “What are you going to do now?”
I gazed at her flushed face as I approached, and leaned down to whisper, “Of course, we’ll share the bed.”
Before she could react, I lifted her off the ground.
“Caden, are you crazy? Let go of me!” Rosaline struggled and shouted.
I carried her to the bed and leaned over her.
“Enough! Get off me!” Rosaline tried to sit up but couldn’t move.
I stared at her face up close. “I’m not crazy. I just want to show you what I’m capable of.”

“Caden, you’re shameless! Taking advantage of me when I’m vulnerable–don’t think I’ll go easy on you!” Rosaline’s expression turned into a mixture of angry, embarrassed, and frustrated.
I smiled. I had only been joking with her, but now that she was genuinely upset, the fun was gone.
With that in mind, I stopped teasing her and sat up on the bed.
Rosaline leaned against the headboard while hugging a pillow. She glared at me with fury, “Don’t come any closer. If you do, you’ll regret it.”
I nodded to show I wouldn’t tease her anymore. She slightly relaxed.
As I ambled closer, I sat beside her and looked at her sideways, “Rosaline, have you ever considered your grandfather’s suggestion?”
Rosaline found herself momentarily stunned. “What suggestion?”
I gazed seriously into her eyes, “Maybe we could give this a try?”
