Chapter 122 Radioactive Elements
“That may not be the worst idea,” I admitted.
Lilian, of all people, had managed to come up with something useful. That alone was a surprise.
But getting into Eclipse Group wouldn’t be easy.

There was only one person who could help me–Michael, my brother and the Quasi–Alpha of Wild Pack.
I had the chef prepare a bowl of chicken soup, then carried it downstairs to his study. I knocked on the heavy wooden door and called out, “Michael, are you busy?”
“Come in,” came his voice from within.
Pushing the door open, I stepped inside and placed the bowl on his desk. “You’ve been working late again. I asked the cook to make you some chicken soup. You should drink it while it’s hot.”
Michael glanced at the bowl, then gave me a knowing look. “How much do you need this time?”
I pouted. “Michael, must you always assume the worst?” I looped my arm through his and gave him a sweet smile. “Can’t a sister be concerned about her brother’s health?”
He exhaled and rubbed his temples. “Wendy, drop the act. What do you want?”
I grinned. “You know me too well. Fine, I’ll be honest. You and Grandpa always say I waste my time doing nothing. I’ve been thinking about that, and I’ve decided you’re right. I should get a job.”
Michael raised an eyebrow. “You? Working?” He didn’t even try to hide his skepticism. “That’s easy, then,” he said. “Pick any position in one of our family’s companies.”
I shook my head. “That wouldn’t be any fun. Everyone there knows who I am. There’d be no challenge.” I met his gaze and said, “I want to work at Eclipse Group
Michael’s face darkened. “No. This isn’t about work. You just want to get close to Caden.”
I held my ground. “Michael, you know how I feel about him. You’re my brother. Can’t you help me just this
once?”
He frowned. “Caden has a fiancée. You haven’t forgotten, have you?”

I scoffed. “Oh, you mean that nobody?” My hands clenched into fists. “This isn’t fair! That Omega is beneath me in every possible way. Why should she be the one engaged to Caden?”
Michael’s expression didn’t change. “You mean Rosaline? She seems like a decent person to me.”
Anger flared in my chest. “Are you serious? Whose side are you on? You know I belong with Caden! If we marry, it will strengthen both our packs. It’s the best possible outcome for everyone!” I took a step forward, looking him in the eye. “If you won’t help me, then I have no reason to go on living.”
Without hesitation, I grabbed the fruit knife from his desk.
Michael’s hand shot out, gripping my wrist before I could even lift it. His voice was firm.

“You’ll help me, then?” I watched him closely, searching his face for doubt.

Michael exhaled and gave a short nod. “I’ll see what I can do,” His expression remained unreadable. “Getting in won’t be simple. We’ll need to be … creative
Rosaline’s POV:
I walked beside my colleague toward the entrance of Eclipse Group’s headquarters.
A restless crowd had gathered outside, blocking the way Reporters stood among them, cameras hoisted, microphones extended, eager for a story.
The moment I stepped outside, a voice rose above the noise.
“That’s her!” A werewolf pointed directly at me. “I saw her on TV–Rosaline, the one in charge of the Ice and Fire project!”
The crowd surged forward in an instant..
Before I could react, reporters swarmed around me, thrusting microphones toward my face.
“Ms. Sinclair, reports claim Eclipse Group’s Ice and Fire jewelry contains radioactive materials. What do you have to say?”
“Ms. Sinclair, did Eclipse Group cut costs by using unsafe materials? Are customers falling ill because of your negligence?”
Questions came from all sides, sharp and relentless.
I remained still, my face composed, offering no immediate response.
Radioactive materials? In Ice and Fire jewelry?
That was impossible.
Eclipse Group conducted rigorous quality checks. No faulty material could have slipped through.
Unless… someone had sabotaged us.
But speculation was useless now. Rash words would only feed their frenzy.
The truth had to come from a thorough investigation.
I kept my voice even. “Please, everyone, stay calm. Eclipse Group follows strict safety protocols. Our products undergo extensive testing before release. There is no possibility of radioactive contamination. This must be a misunderstanding.”
“A misunderstanding?” A tall, well–dressed she–wolf stepped forward, eyes flashing with anger. “My sister bought an Ice and Fire necklace. She wore it for days–then collapsed. The doctors said she was poisoned. If she had waited any longer to seek help, she would be dead. And you call that a misunde nding?”
I met her gaze without wavering. “There are many causes of poisoning. You can’t assume our product is responsible.”
She scoffed. her voice rising. “Of course it’s vour iewelry! The doctors tested her. She was poisoned by

A middle–aged werewolf pushed through the crowd, waving a stack of documents. “Here! Look at these!” His voice rang with fury. “Lab results–clear as day! Eclipse Group’s necklaces contain radioactive materials. They poison people. In severe cases, they can kill!”
“We spent our hard–earned money on Eclipse Group’s jewelry, and now we’re paying for it in hospital bills!” the man roared. “They knew what they were doing. They put profit over lives!”
“That’s right!” The she–wolf beside him clenched her fists. “We won’t be ignored! We demand justice!”
