Chapter 105

Just as I have finished dressing for training. I hear Maddox shouting my name. I rush downstairs and he pulls me against his body, I cannot help but smile at him. 

My Squad also come ruming down the stairs, alarmed by Maddox shouting my name. Turning to look at my Uncle, I see from the corner of my eyes that they are looking at us. 

They seem to be pleased with what they are seeing, and I feel a blush creep up my face. After we are briefed on the intel on Evil Moon Pack, I jump up and walk over to Uncle James. 

Maddox pulls me on to his lap and holds me tight, what I go over everything we have right now. Something about this is not

I send the information to my own tablet and give the tablet back to Uncle James. Jenna asks if she can take a look at it, and he turns it towards her. 

We both go over it, again and again. At first it does not make sense and the others start looking over our shoulders at the intel. We discuss the patterns over and over. 

Suddenly it hits me, and I zoom out, wanting to see the bigger picture. Jenna gets where I am going and also zooms out, looking for any other clues as we both stare at the tablets. 

“Fuck.” Jenna mutters and starts drawing lines on the tablet. As we all watch her progress, I finally figure out what it is she had noticed. They are moving around the territories of the three Packs, in order to attack them from all sides. 

But what would they gain by taking over, how could they benefit? As far as I could tell, there was nothing) here they might be interested in. There never had been anything here that they might have desired. 

Confiding my thoughts to the rest of them, it is Matteo that does the math. “You’re right, there never was. But there is something now.” He states, while he looks at me. Confusion is written on our faces, and he realizes no one has put the pieces together, yet. 

“Okay, let me try to explain this. Twelve years ago, they showed up here, because their Alpha found his. mate, your Sister. They slaughtered the entire Pack, after your Sister took her own life in front of him. 

But what if, she was not his Mate, but a means to an end.” Matteo says and I think the confusion inside me 

is even bigger now. Matteo continues with his theory: By taken her as a Mate, his Pack would have a 

territory of their own. 

And his Pack would have grown in numbers. He did not go to one of the other, Packs, because they would not contribute to his plans. And there were no female heirs, while your father had no male heir.” 

Things are starting to make sense to me now, because all of a sudden remember something from that day. Something I had forgotten, something I had not wanted to see that day.

Men I do not recognize, they look menacing and scary slowly make my way over to stand next to my Father and look at the man standing in front of us. 

He is huge, covered with tattoo’s and amazing bright green eyes, he stares at me with a smirk on his face. His short blond hair is messed up and the smile on his ce makes him look….. well, it makes him look devilish. 

“What do you want?” My Father asks. At first the man does not respond, but then the front door opens. He lifts his gaze towards the door, and something flashes in his eyes. 

“I want her. She will be my Luna.” He states pointing behind my Father. My Sister is standing in the doorway and looks at him with a pissed off look in her eyes. 

I can sense the atmosphere is changing fast, I know where this is going and it is not good. When looks like that, trouble is never far behind. 

She takes a step forward and looks him dead in the eye and slowly says: “No way in hell!”

“You will be mine and I will mark you, One way or the other, I don’t care.” He says. You can hear the gasps. of everyone around us. Forcefully marking your mate is not done within our Pack, but we know some Packs do not care.

And when I look into her eyes, I know that she has made up her mind. By the look on my Parents faces and the people surrounding us, I can tell that everyone knows. The only ones oblivious to her decision are the strangers standing in front of us. 

Without blinking her eyes my Sister pulls her arm from behind her and slits her throat. For a second everyone and everything freezes, then the man scream, and it all turns to chaos. 

My Father pushes me back towards the house and tells me to hide. The man charges towards my Father and then everyone starts fighting. At the age of fifteen I was not trained enough to be of any help to anyone. And without my wolf I can barely protect myself. 

Suddenly I feel a hand on my shoulder and as I start to scream, someone turns me around. Luna Gina is standing there with a troubled look on her face. 

But we both do not get the change to say a word. We suddenly heard a sound behind us. Gina pushed me behind her to protect me, but she was not fast enough to stop what was coming. 

One of the strange men sliced in to her throat with his claw before she could do anything. With the force he used we both were pushed backwards, and we tumbled under the front porch. 

Because I hit my head the man did not realize that I was still alive. A sound near my head made me lift myself up and turn to my left. Luna Gina was trying to say something but had trouble breathing. So, I crawled closer to her. 

“Keep yourself hidden, Sweetheart. Do not let them catch you. When they are gone, you go to the airport and board that plane. Tell Maddox what happened and tell him to train you. 

Tell him that I love him and that I’m sorry that he will never meet his pup.” With that she closed her eyes and was gone. I closed my eyes while I turned my head away from the scene in front of me.
