Sitting at my desk. I look at my system and see an alert with a 72% chance of a sighting. I open it and quickly realize it is not Izzy, so I leave it open on my screen for anyone to see. 

It doesn’t take long before I hear a comment from behind me “Another false alarm?” I just nod my head, knowing that Mason will inform Dagmar of this.. 

We have been going over the intel on the Evil Moon Pack and some of us are questioning it. But Dagmar and Mason are convinced it is accurate and genuine. 

So in an hour there will be a meeting with Alpha Maddox, Dagmar and her Squad. As I gather every piece of information we have, my computer shows another alert on the Evil Moon Pack. 

I open the information and I cuss under my breath. The information shows that they attacked two Pack’s in the past week and as usual there were no survivors found at the scene. 

But the thing that stands out, is that according to the Council, both Alpha’s had daughter’s and neither of ⚫them were found at the scene.. 

I decide to dig around in the Council’s archive a bit and ten minutes before the meeting starts, I have found what I hoped I would not find.

Before I called this meeting, I sat down with Mason and he had given me the concerns of his team. But we both agreed it was worth investigating and we knew Alpha Maddox would have the last say in what would happen next. 

As I prepare to leave the Pack–house, Mason links me that he has some new intel and he wants me to read through it before the meeting. 

I start running as I tell him I will be there in a minute and close the link. 

He meets me at the entrance of the building and holds out a tablet, I go through it as we make our we over to the meeting room. I look at Mason and I can tell by the look on his face that he hates this intel as much as I do. 

My Squad–members are already there and I wonder when the day comes that I have to turnover command of this group again. Even though I enjoy leading them, I wish their Commander was here. 

Their Commander had left almost five years ago and there was still no trace of her. “Everyone misses her.” Emma says in my head and I know that that is the truth, especially for her Father, Julian. 

I even suspect that Jordan, the Pack’s former Beta, is affected by her leaving. 

Alpha Maddox walks in with Beta Rico and Gamma James, who happens to be my Uncle. Mason and I go through all the gathered intel, but the newest intel we safe for last. 

Mason tells them one of his men had a hunch after the ast reports from the Council and that he went digging through the Council’s archives.

“There are multiple recordings of Alpha daughters who went missing over the years, after they were attacked by the Evil Moon Pack.” I give them the very short version of what was uncovered. 

We go back and forth with the intel and after three hours of debating whether or not to pursue this, Mason looks at the tablet in front of him. 

He has gotten a request from three Pack’s for assistance because the Evil Moon Pack is getting closer to their territory. “Good, tell them we’re coming.” I say, but then I see the look on his face. 

“You might want to take a minute to think about that. Their territories surround Blue Moon Pack territory.” Mason says and the entire room goes still. 

No one says a word or moves a muscle, Uncle James is standing next to me, before Mason has finished speaking. 

My first instinct tells me to run, but my training grounds me and I tell Mason it doesn’t change anything. We will go and lend them a hand in fighting the Evil Moon Pack. 

And if we can get some answers and revenge in the process that will be a plus. 

After that I get up and storm out of the room, needing some time to myself I give control to Emma. She runs to the edge of the forest and I don’t even take the time to undress. She runs for hours before she decides it is time to head home.

The second I hear Mason mention Blue Moon Pack, I am moving towards Dagmar. I can see she has to pull herself together and I am so proud of her, when she answers Mason.
