Izzy’s PO.V

I walk in to the suite and I take in the familiar smell of my Father, but then I smell something unfamiliar, Evie and I discover that the smell is all over the suite, but strongest near and in my Father’s room.
We are both puzzled and for a second we want to link Stephan and ask him about it. But we know that there is not much time, so I want to take a shower and change in to some clean clothes before my Father gets back.
As I walk in to my room. I see a few things spread out of my bed. And even though I have never seen the items before, I know that they are mine. Sitting down on my bed, I see a blanket and a note. Next to them are pictures I have never seen before.
I soon realize they were taken on the day my Father found me. I hold the blanket close and start softly crying. After a few minutes I wipe the tears from my cheeks and go to the bathroom.
After my shower I chance in to black skinny jeans and a bright blue tank top. Just as I am getting comfortable on my bed, we hear the door open and then we hear voices. I sneak to my door and peak outside.
The door is open and I see my Father walk in, his eyes on his phone. There is a young man walking right behind him and he has a huge smile on his face.
My jaw drops when I hear my Father say “Doesn’t our Daughter look gorgeous, My Love.” They walk in to the living–room and I wonder why there is no response. Suddenly I hear a faint “Izzy” coming from the living–room and I know that that is my que.
I leave my room and make my way over to the living–room. As I step in to the doorway, the guy’s jaw drops and in a second I am in his arms. I look at my Father as he hugs me even tighter.
“Izzy?” My Father whispers. “Hi, Dad. Who is this?” I ask pointing at the guy that is still hugging me, “I am Glenn and I am your Father’s Mate.” I hear through the mind–link. I look at my Father and he chuckles.
“My Love, let go of our Daughter. I would like to hug her myself now.” And as soon as Glenn lets go of me, I see the scars on his neck. Next thing I know I am pulled in to my Father’s arms.
“I missed you so much, Sweetheart. I am sorry I never cold you about your Mother.” My Father whispers in
my ear. I shake my head and quietly cry as he holds me to b
“I am sorry, Dad. I didn’t want you to worry about me and I am sorry you thought that I was dead.” I say as I dry my eyes. I look at Glenn and smile.
Glenn asks me if I found what I had been looking for and I tell him the same thing I told Stephan. He nods. his head and pulls me to the couch with him. After we sit down, he puts an arm around me and we just sit
there.
Then my Father asks “Who knows that you are back?” I tell them that no one knows that I am back, except for Stephan and Josh and that I would like to keep it that way, at least for tonight.

“Izzy, there is something I want to talk about with you. But I will understand if you don’t feel up to it.” She looks at me and I tell her that over the years Jordan and I became friends. And that he finally confided in
me that she had asked him to be her chosen Mate.
She tells me basically the same thing I heard from Jordan and that during her search, she changed her mind about taking a chosen Mate.
I ask her if she can tell us why she changed her mind.
“I met a lot of people during my search and a lot of them had a mate. Most met their Mate under normal circumstances, but a few had interesting stories. I met Christa, a human girl, on my way to the Golden Star Pack and she found out after I left that the Alpha is her Mate.
Then there is Beta Matthew from the Crystal White Pack, who is also mated to a human female and if it had not been for his Alpha’s advice, he would have rejected her.
My Cousin Troy was sixty–three when he finally found his Mate and his Alpha found his Luna in a Pack that convinced her that she was worthless.
They all showed me that I had to hold on to hope and not give up on finding my Mate.”

Izzy’s P.O.V.
Hearing my Father say those words, makes Evic jump up and down in my head and I have to tell her to behave. But I know it will do no good, more than ever Evie is dead set on finding our Mate.
I hear my Father and Glenn chuckle and I ask what is so damn funny. “You are. Is your Lycan giving you a hard time?” Glenn asks while he still chuckles.
And that is when I realize they watched as I was arguing with Evie. I look at my Father and then at Glenn and a smirk creeps on to my face and I hear my Father say Uh Oh.
I keep my eyes on Glenn and say “Get used to it, Dad.” His eyes begin to water and he pulls me in to his arms. “Thank you.” He says through the mind–link as he puts a kiss on my cheek..
