Chapter 200 

Jordan’s POV 

Finished 

Nero has been behaving erratic for the past few hours and I start to wonder if one of our new Pack- members might be our Mate. 

I am walking around, talking to several people and then I decide to go and find Julian. I know he asked me to give this a chance, but I don’t think I want to stay for the Full Moon. 

Something is off, Nero tries to take control and he tells me to go towards the area of the party. As I look around, a blond catches my eye and I stop dead in my tracks. 

It’s Izzy, she is here and she is looking at me. Then she turns and runs away. 

Nero shocks me when he says “Go after Mate.” I am stunned and ask him what he means. He keeps repeating his words, over and over. And that is when it hits me, Izzy is our Mate. 

I start running in the direction she disappeared in to, but as soon as I turn the corner I know it is a lost cause. She is gone and I know from experience that I will not be able to find her. 

After all, we played this game many times during training. I was never able to find her and she would always laugh her ass off, knowing she won again. 

Nero chuckles at those memories, we let the memories run through our mind as we stand there. 

“Jordan, are you okay?” Julian asks me, pulling me from my thoughts. I look at him and for a second I don’t know what to say. 

“Izzy is back.” I whisper. He nods his head and says “We know. She was in our suite when we returned from lunch.” 

I look at him stunned, he knew she was back and he didn’t tell me. Nero let’s out a deafening growl and Glenn jumps behind Julian. 

“Take it easy, Nero. She asked us not to tell anyone. And we both know who is to blame for that.” Nero- whimpers as we realize that Julian is right. 

I look at Julian and Glenn, not sure what to say. But I know that I have to apologize to Glenn. “Glenn, I am sorry that I startled you. But Nero and I just found out that she is our Mate.” 

A huge smile appears on his face and through the mind–link he tells me that he is fine. “Go find her.” Julian orders and I shake my head. 

I explain to them that during training we would play hide and seek a lot and that I was never able to find her. “It was always so damn infuriating. We never found out how she managed to delude us.” 

Glenn and Julian are laughing and Glenn tells me not to worry, that she will come around. I jus he is right. 

Izzy’s POV 

I can still hear his voice calling out my name, telling me to stop.

fastest runner and that I know this forest better than anyone I ask Evie in my head. She even lends me a bit of her strength and we disappear in to the forest. 

“You know that you cannot avoid him forever?” She says and I know that she is right. He can track my scent, I think to myself and Evie starts to chuckle. 

I ask her what the hell is so funny about that. And then remark Alpha Maddox made, when I saw him. hits home. He had said that he couldn’t smell who had left the envelope on his desk, the day I left. 

“They can’t smell you because you can mask your scent. So far you have only done it subconsciously. But you can use it whenever you want it or need it. Right now you do it, without thinking about it.” 

Confused as to what she means, I ask her to explain it to me. “You have a gift, well actually you have two gifts. The first one, you always called in your gut feeling, is to tell if someone is genuine, is telling the truth. 

The second one is your ability to mask your scent. Why do you think you could always get close to someone without detection?” Slowly puzzle pieces fall in to place and a lot of things from the past start making sense. 

“Then what did you mean when you said I can’t avoid him forever.” She answers with the name of the one person I never want to see again. But Evie is right, I need to go back and explain everything to my Father and my Pack. 

But then Evie asks me what I am planning on doing with Jordan. I freeze, not knowing how to answer that question. 

A part of me wants to keep running, but a bigger part of me wants to run in to his arms. “What am I to do, Evie? What if he still doesn’t want us?” I start to panic, because I don’t know if I can handle another rejection from Jordan. 

“Izzy, calm down. You heard Father and Dad, when they told us why he howled that night.” And I giggle at her distinct mention of Glenn in that sentence. 

I know that I need to talk to Jordan, tell him that I will not run. But he needs to know that I need time to come to terms with him being my Mate. 

“You better do it now. I want to be close to our Mate tonight.” Evie demands and I guess I can give her that. 

I link my Father and tell him not to wait for me. He chuckles in response and lets me know that they ran int to Jordan. I ask if he went looking for me, but he says that Jordan told them that it would be a waste of 

time. 

1 giggle because I remember that during training, we would play hide and seek. It infuriated him every time that he was unable to find me. I talk to my Father for a few more minutes and then I close the link.
