Seeing the look on everyone’s faces as Izzy walked in, made me chuckle and I knew they all had a lot of questions.
But what surprised me the most was Jordan and his interaction with Izzy, seeing him hold her, seeing him. comfort her. I kept a close eye on them as Izzy was talking and I started to wonder if maybe they were Mates.
When she kissed him after he apologized to her. I had my answer and I couldn’t be happier for my friend.
These past few hours have been a rollercoaster–ride and I am curious as to what she still has to tell us. I feel Maddox pull me in to his arms and I turn around so I can nuzzle his neck.
Being in the same room as Grace has me and everyone else on edge. But something tells me that her role in all of this isn’t over by a long shot.
Maddox leads me from the conference room to another one, someone has put lunch on the table and it is in that moment that I realize that I am starving.
I see Izzy staring at Marcus, who is holding Jason in one arm and the other is wrapped around Lily’s shoulders. “I think you all need to introduce your Mate to Izzy. She could use the distraction.” I say through the mind–link.
Marcus turns to Izzy “Commander, this is Lily, my Mate. And this little guy is Jason.” Lily steps forward and holds out her hand, but Izzy pulls her in to a hug.
As she steps back, the look in her eyes show that Marcus is going to be the target of her sharp tongue. “I don’t know whether to congratulate you or to feel sorry for you being stock with shithat over there.”
Marcus’s jaw drops, Lily starts giggling and most of the others double over from laughter. Lily explains to Izzy that they adopted Jason and why.
Rico introduces Samantha to her and his face shows that he is fearful of what she might say. And knowing Izzy, I can’t blame him.
“Samantha, it is nice to meet you.” Izzy says and I can see relief on Rico’s face. Looking at Izzy, I see that he is a bit quick thinking he is of the hook.
“If he ever gives you trouble, let me know. I know a few places where no one will ever find his body.” She says with a smirk on her face.
I can’t help myself, I start laughing as I see the expression on Rico’s face and Samantha is not helping when she says “I will keep that in mind, Izzy.”
Jenna introduces our new Pack–members and the Pack–members from the Black Moon Pack. Izzy looks at Alpha Andrew and I can tell that he is in trouble.
“If I ever hear the smallest rumor of you starting to act like your Father, I will come after you and tear you. pieces, Alpha. She growls at him. Andrew looks at her and surprises all of us as he bows his head to her.

se that something is on Maddox’s mind and I ask him about it through the mind–link. As he tells me what is bothering him. I want to hit myself over the head because it had not crossed my mind.
“Alpha Andrew, can you explain why you and David didn’t find out about Elly and June during the last Full Moon?” The room falls quiet as soon as the words leave my lips.
He tells us that his Father had send him. David and Neill with a few warriors to the farthest border. I see Eric nod his head and know that he is telling the truth.
Neill is shifting his balance from one foot to the other, over and over again. And after a moment it sinks in that he is wondering about Sienna. I link her to point this out and ask her if she wants me to explain it.
She turns to Neill and after taking a deep breath she says “I have a hiding place in my room.” He knows what she means by that and pulls her closer to him. “I am sorry for what your parents put you through.” He kisses her forehead and says nothing else.
Jordan’s POV

As we sit down to have lunch, I pull Izzy in to my lap and instead of fighting me on it, she snuggles my body. No one speaks as we eat and I am enjoying holding my Mate and the silence. Even though she eats, I sense that hear mind is running in circles.
Ever since she walked in to the room, I have wanted to take out the bun she had made at the back at her neck and sitting here I don’t hesitate for a second. As her hair cascades down her back, Nero starts purring in my head.
Because she is sitting down it almost hits the ground and I start running my hands through it. It sooths me, being this close to her and I feel like an ass for turning her down.
I could have had this for so many years and I want to kick myself for missing out on this. Nero points out that she would have never left, never finding answers if I had accepted her offer. Even though I know he is right, it doesn’t make me feel better.
Izzy turns in my lap, cupping my face with her hands. “Babe, what is wrong?” She asks through the mind- link and I feel guilty for putting more on her shoulders. I am still running my hands through her long curls as I explain myself to her.
“Babe, don’t feel bad. We might have missed out on a few years, but there are many more ahead of us. I am not going anywhere and neither are you. It was just meant to go this way, I had to find answers and you had to come to terms with your past.”
Thinking about Izzy’s words, I realize she is right and kiss her forehead as I pull here closer.
