Chapter 344 At The Palace

Casimir is lying on the floor with his eyes closed, he never realized how much needed to be organized for the Introduction Ceremony or any other Ceremony.
They had started with reading what the Introduction Ceremony entailed and it seemed to them that it was nothing more than a Ceremony to show the Kingdom that the most sought after bachelors were taken.
Jaylen had compared it to a cattle market from centuries ago, which resulted in Forrest looking it up in the Palace database. After reading about cattle markets Forrest decided that he didn’t agree with Jaylen and compared the Ceremony to a Zoo.
If you ask me both comparisons are close, because in both cases the main characters are the ones on display.
Every Pack is to be invited to the Ceremony, the Alpha and his Mate, the Beta and his Mate and the Gamma and his Mate, if any of them has a Mate that is. The invitation has to be sent out a few months before the Ceremony, it will allow the Alpha time to leave his Pack in capable hands.
The invitation has to state a dress code, maybe even an invitation for a few unmated Pack–members. After all the Ceremony has to take place on a Full Moon, something every important Ceremony has in common.
For the past week, they have gone over every Full Moon that is to come and they have only been able to narrow it down to three dates, but that was about it.
Morgan and Giselle had made a list of everything they needed to decide on, from the letter color on the invitation to a color scheme for the Ceremony, from a menu for dinner to table arrangements. The list is hanging in the living room on the King’s private floor and Casimir can’t stand to look at it anymore.
He always knew that being the Crown Prince included a lot of boring Ceremonies in his future, but looking at everything they needed to organize he is starting to hate his birthright.
“Okay, these books are filled with every do’s and don’ts for Royal Ceremonies. These rules apply for any Ceremony held at the Palace and you better not break one of them.” Forrest says as he places a stack of books on the coffee table.
Morgan and Giselle are each holding one book and Casimir can feel the annoyance run through his Mate, something in that book has Giselle on edge.
“Did you know that if the Alpha of the largest Pack, member–wise, has a chosen Mate, we have to seat him behind the Pack that comes second?” Giselle asks as she drops to the floor next to Casimir.
“What!” Everyone else in the room exclaims at the same time.
“Yeah, apparently we need to know everything about the current and future leadership of a Pack to get the table arrangements correct. If we get something wrong, we can insult a Pack with large consequences.” Giselle responds.
Planning a party might seem simple and easy, unless you have to take into consideration a ton load of do’s and don’ts. I mean, Lunas can have an attitude as it is but being seated in the wrong spot…. I think you get my drift.
After looking at the titles of all the books that are related to a Royal Ceremony, they decide to start with the table seating first. It seems to be the most complex of all and they want this to be done in the best way

Casimir and Giselle are still on the floor, but now they are seated with their backs against a couch. The book is on Giselle’s lap, open on the index page.
They have to start by making a list of the Packs and start with the amount of members each Pack has, their second list has to be on the size of a Pack’s Territory. From there they need to make a list of the current and future leadership, mentioning whether they have a fated Mate or a chosen Mate.
Making those lists wasn’t a diflicult task, everything gets updated the moment an Alpha notifies the Elders about a change in his Pack.
An Alpha has to report any purchase of land, just to make sure that lone Shifters don’t get cut off from certain areas. An Alpha has to report any birth, mating or death within his territory, making it easy to keep track of the amount of Pack–members or if a leadership has chosen or fated Mates.
Making the table arrangements takes a lot longer, because there are many rules to keep track of and they have to rearrange everything from time to time.
They leave the table arrangements for what it is from time to time, concentrating on other parts of the Ceremony and to stop themselves from going nuts.
Luckily there are a few tasks on their list that are a lot easier, the invitation for example. Morgan and Giselle decided on that together, the males had no interest in discussing it and with just the two of them it was done quickly.
What the message on the invitation would be, was a different issue and as difficult as the table
arrangements. So they left that for one of the last tasks to do and hopefully make it a little easier with every other decision they would make.
The color scheme wasn’t that difficult either, Giselle just put her foot down and no one dared to argue with her on the subject.
Choosing a menu for that many people was a challenge, six people that have to decide on a menu and each of them have their own favorite dish.
Deciding on a dress code for the Ceremony would have been difficult, if Morgan hadn’t found a tiny message at the start of the book on dress codes. It changed their mood a lot and having that issue crossed off their list was a huge relief.
Time flies at the Palace with everything that has to be prepared for the Introduction Ceremony and when the final decision has been made on when the Ceremony will take place, King Damon took the invitations to be sent out.
He didn’t send them right away, he needed to buy Amir time to deal with Lucas. Once word got out about? the Introduction Ceremony, Lucas would go into hiding again and King Damon wanted him out of the way before that time.
