Chapter 345 Missing Person

I am at a loss, I have no idea where to look anymore and I am getting more and more frustrated with this 

case. 

We have checked the records of every found deceased Jane Doe and John Doe, and none of them are the victims that we are looking for. We have checked every record from Hospitals and Packs on Jane and John Does that were found and are either still in a coma or have memory loss. 

Even if someone had buried them deep in the forest, a Shifter would have eventually found them. 

Lucas hasn’t been seen at the mansion since last time, but Jack visited the mansion yesterday and again he brought some groceries with him. 

“Amir, the shop owner just called. Jack asked for another delivery to be made and again the items are the opposite of what they normally deliver.” Pedro says as he walks into the living room. 

Clover has been with us for two days now and she has gone over everything we have discovered so far, but she hasn’t found an answer yet either. 

“Commander, if I look at the list of the normal orders I get a little queasy. This is enough to keep the Human part alive, but not enough to keep the Shifter part strong.” Clover says. “So whoever is living in that mansion will not be able to stand up against anyone, maybe that is the change in groceries.” 

“I doubt that Lucas would allow the groceries to be delivered, if he knew what the delivery was.” I state. 

It doesn’t make sense to me that he would normally order his Mother groceries that will keep her alive and completely change the order after almost a year. 

My best guess would be that Jack is doing this to get in good graces with his Mother in law and that Lucas isn’t aware of the extra delivery to the mansion. 

“This isn’t for Lucas‘ Mother, she is allergic to most of the items. So, who could they be for?” Clover asks. 

“His Sister.” The rest of us say in unison, it would explain why no one has seen her in ages. 

“Mateja was thirteen years old when Lucas was born and four years later Lucas‘ Father disappeared from the scene. He took a chosen Mate five years later, but he has never tried to reach out to Lucas or vice versa.” I say to Clover. 

I grab the file we have on Mateja, but there isn’t much in there. Her name, date of birth and her birth town, nothing else is known about her. 

No information on her Father; who he is, where he came from, other relatives or siblings. Mateja is one hell of a mystery and we don’t even know what she looks like. 

“How much time do we have to take Lucas down?” Clover asks. 

“Until the invitations for the Introduction Ceremony go out, but King Damon is going to hold on to them for as long as he can. He wants to give us enough time to get Lucas and make sure that he is out of the picture, before anyone finds out that Prince Casimir is taken.” Pedro says with a smile. 

The Ceremony will take place on the eighth Full Moon from the next Full Moon, which will be in two weeks 

and that means that we have lace than six months to met I ucas

Chapter 345 Missing Person

Lucas is still following his routine and we have found two possible weak links in that routine. All we can do now is keep an eye on those weak links and hopefully we will be able to take him out soon. 

One day after the next we go out to talk to the inhabitants of Bellwich, hoping to find someone who has some information on Dorian. 

We know who took him, but the problem is that we have no idea where he is hiding his victim or victims. I am more and more convinced that all ten victims are still alive, but I need to find the location where Marcel is holding them. 

“Commander, I found something interesting.” Clover says before she turns to the big screen. “I believe that you were onto something when you said that you suspected all ten victims to be still alive. 

We have all turned our attention to the big screen and we find rental agreements in Marcel’s name on display, each of them terminated shortly after Lucas moved to another town. 

“The properties became bigger with the years and they were never far from the location of Lucas‘ Mother. I also uncovered something else, except for Dorian, every other victim was reported missing by a stranger and with that I mean an employer or a teacher, never a relative.” Clover says. 

Soon the screen is filled with all the personal data of the people who filed the missing person report and there it is for all of us to see, another connection between almost all of the cases. There was no family around to warn the authorities, except for Dorian. 

Bringing a few more questions to the table. Why did Marcel change his MO? Something must have happened to make him deviate from his pattern, but they needed to get their hands on Marcel to get an answer to that question 

Where were their family members? According to their background checks they all came from a large family and yet their families hadn’t reported them missing. 

None of it made sense to any of them and the only thing they could do was reach out to the families to find out why none of them reached out to the authorities. 

With six people in the house, the calls were made quickly and another connection was found, they had all broken contact with their families. Surprisingly, the families had no trouble sharing the reason for the broken contact. 

Every victim had been rejected by their fated Mate and replaced with a sibling, even eighteen year old Nixon. Nixon had been rejected on his eighteenth birthday and kicked out of the house by his Father, which was almost a year before he went missing. 

None of the families cared about their Son or Daughter being missing and Amir made sure that all the recorded conversations were sent to the Elders. 

“Let them deal with this, we have better things to do.” Amir states, after making sure he sent it all to the Elders.
