Chapter 15
The man in front of Ember suddenly changed his mind before she could say, “Okay,” out loud.
“Let’s go, I’ll have my friend bring over my papers.”
He had a thought change.
Because he was concerned that she might reconsider.
He was tall and gorgeous as he stood in front of her before they went into the Civil Affairs Bureau. “Have you really made up your mind?” he gently said as he fixed her with his alluring, crystal–clear gaze.
What?”
When unexpectedly asked, Ember became little disoriented.
Marriage is not a game. You can’t even divorce me in a few days or a short amount of time; once this egistration is over, I will not easily depart. Have you truly thought this through? Don’t regret it later ecause of an impulsive decision,”
mber turned to face the lovely guy in front of her and met his intense, dark stare.
is look had the impression of being real and consoling.
I have decided,” she said with clenched teeth, “I want this.”
exander was relieved by her response.
was aware that she was wagering her future happiness. He really wanting to assure her that he ould do everything in his power to not make her lose, but he held back.
ince you’ve already made up your mind, let’s go,” Alexander said softly while placing his hand on her oulder.
ber and Alexander left the Civil Affairs Bureau at 2:10 p.m., each carrying a crimson marriage tificate.
ive me your phone,”
xander leaned out and grabbed Ember’s phone as soon as they were out.

Chapter 15
Ember blushed by his body heat that left on the phone.
He quickly glanced at his watch and said, “I won’t send you back. I have a business trip. I’ll come find you when I get back. This is my phone number. If you need anything, you can call me.” He had to leave on a business trip this afternoon and would return the next day.
He flagged down a cab from the side of the road, instructed the driver to proceed slowly, and watched her drive off stress–free.
Ember was seated inside the vehicle when she noticed Alexander’s tall form standing in front of it.
She worried and felt depleted.
When she switched back to his phone number on her phone, she was shocked to see that the owner of this phone was her husband, now.
She discovered this man on a website for blind dates. She found out after their marriage that the only thing she knew about him was what was on his ID card.
The marriage license was already in possession.
It was too late for her to change her impulsive behavior at this time.
She had been with her ex–boyfriend for eight years, and after he betrayed her, she stopped expecting love.
Dog bites in every country. The world’s guys are all the same.
It didn’t matter whatever man she married if she didn’t have love.
However, her heart was in turmoil as if she had no anchor.
Alexander stood there, watching the taxi drive away. Shortly after, a Land Rover pulled up beside him.
Without heeding the scrutinizing gaze of the driver, he calmly entered the vehicle.
“Please drive us to the airport, and if you haven’t seen enough, then keep looking.”
He had a flight in fourty minutes.
Liam Miller, the driver and the chosen successor of the Miller Group, couldn’t help but chuckle when he saw that Alexander, the heir of the Knight Group, was clothed in substandard apparel. Liam said, gesturing to the cheap clothing he was donning.
“You look so funny in these clothes.”
Alexander was still enjoying being a spouse at this time, so he didn’t pay attention to or judge Liam,

regardless of what he was saying.
“I’m really curious about the woman who has captured your heart so irrevocably that make you marry
to her.” Liam said.
Alexander thought of her bashful smile, her light body scent and her unwavering courage. They slowly merge with the figure in his memory.
They met in their youth, when Ember bravely saved his life, and from then on he could not forget her. But as they say, easy to meet and difficult to part, and soon they went their separate ways. Perhaps to Ember, it was all just a small episode, and perhaps she had long forgotten him.
He once yearned for her day and night. In his youth and early adulthood, there was not a day that went by without him thinking of her. At the very moment he took the marriage licence, he was overcome with a desire to weep. He thanked the heavens for granting him the chance to be with her once more.
“She is marvelous.” Alexander said, “But I’m not gonna introduce her to you right away.”
