Chapter 32
“I would like to have a meeting with you tomorrow in the conference room.” Robert’s annoying voice echoed in my head.
I groaned and rolled my eyes, even as I knotted my tie. Four weeks ago, it was his wife, Ivory, giving orders, and now it is him.
Robert and Ivory need to read the dictionary and realise what the word retired means because they are doing the opposite.
Cecil came up from behind and wrapped her arms around me. “Hey,” she said, pressing her face against my back, and she pressed a kiss there.
“Hey,” I said back, leaning in to get more of her warmth. “I hope you slept well.”
“After the night we had, I sure did,” she said heartily, and she came to stand before me to help me knot my tic, and I let her.
The flowers I got, or the note that came with it, must have done the trick because, after receiving them, Cecil told me she forgave me.
I assured her there was nothing to worry about and told her I would remove the tattoo as soon as it healed. Vivian took me to the clinic to examine when the complete healing of the tattoo on my body
would be, and the doctor told me my skin was a sensitive one and the healing would be within four
months. That was such a long time, but I was in Cecil’s good grace, and I prayed I remained there until
the time for removal.
I smiled and kissed her lips. “I’m glad to hear that.”
When she finished, she placed her hands on my shoulders and said, “You do not look thrilled; what’s
wrong?”
“The company,” I answered, “is nothing you do not already know, but it’s fine; it is all under control, and I will keep it that way for as long as I can.” I stepped away from her and picked up my suitcase. “Take care of yourself and be safe at work, okay?”
She nodded. “I will be.”
In the heart of the city, Cecil owned a multimillion–dollar beauty shop named STOP. She had decided to pursue that three years ago.
After she pitched her idea to market to the upper and middle class, I invested a massive sum in it as a supportive boyfriend, and so far, it has been a success. She managed that, and I took care of the Plane’s

enterprise all over the country, trying to stay ahead of the congestion or the vying times.
I was proud of her work, and I never failed to tell her how amazing the was the aras dicing my than me, and at this point, I might need her to sit me down and give me a few bossus so the iss standing with the state of the economy.
I arrived at the company and made my way to the sixth flow, where the top executive offices and the conference room were located.
I dropped my suitcase in my office before heading to the conference room whale nextally preparing for the worst disagreement.
I stepped into the conference room to find Robb seated on the CEO and chairman of the board members seat, and beside him was Ivory, his annoying wife. That was my seat, but I saved myself from the stress of
a debate.
“It is not a good sign to keep your parents waiting on you.” His authoritative tone was filled with disappointment as if I cared about that.
My eyes narrowed. “They wouldn’t be waiting on me if they stayed in their lanes as the retired Planes. “I bit back. Then, “Mom, Dad.” I acknowledged them with a smile that didn’t reach my eyes.
Robb scoffed and adjusted in his seat; he usually did that when he couldn’t believe someone’s audacity. “You cannot afford to keep me retired, not with the way the company is heading”
And now let the blaming game begin: “And whose fault is that?” I challenged in a rigid tone.
His eyes hardened on me. “The bunch of idiots ruling the country, of course. They are running the economy and making stupid laws and legislation without thinking about the detriments of said laws to businesses all over the country. Foreign investors and companies pulled out. Hell, I’d have pulled out too, but it’s my country, and I’m knee–deep already.”
Finally, someone who spoke English and had common sense. I had walked in here ready to shoot and attack, but the older man and I seemed to be on the same page. Perhaps I could sit and listen to whatever he had to say without interrupting.
“We can’t impeach those in the government seat, and we can’t influence their decisions at this point. The country is so far gone for that.” I said that and took my seat not far away from him.
He groaned, “I knew this would happen when they made a fool who couldn’t tell his right from his left president, but I didn’t think it would be this bad.”
No one saw this coming. There were a few predictions that the economy would experience downtime, but they didn’t say it would stay down for two freaking years.
“Since you summoned me here this morning, I would like to believe you have found some type of way out

of this.”
Robb nodded his head. “I have. It is not your conventional way out or your traditional one, but it has worked for many others who have gone through what we are going through. I spent the last week looking into them and their records, and believe me, they are legit and have been backed for over four
decades. So, I believe their method will work as well.”
“You didn’t tell me this part,” Ivory spoke up for the first time since I entered.
He turned to her and said, “Because you are not going to like it, but at this point, I do not care much whether or not you like it.”
I wanted to laugh, but this was serious, so I remained composed. “Well, Dad, what is it?”
“The right question is who. Their name is the Garcia Group, and their headquarters is in Madrid. They are a foreign financial expert specialising in financial deficit risk management. I reached out to them and
asked for a sit–out and discussion, and the new CEO agreed to meet.”
He barely finished speaking when the conference room door opened, and someone walked in. My attention broke from Robb, who had just finished speaking over to the intruder, and I caught my breath
at the sight of Imela standing before all of us.
“Hola, my name is August Garcia, and I am the CEO of the Garcia Group.”
Somebody shoot me now.
