Chapter 65
“Today is the doctor’s appointment, I hope I don’t have to tell you before you do yourult avald Cecil spoke over the phone.
The result she showed him a month ago revealed that she was fifteen weeks pregnant the was w eighteen weeks old, and she was beginning to show
He had mixed feelings about it all. He had longed to be a father for the longest time, but the circumstances surrounding this weren’t what he wanted.
He wasn’t on the best terms with Cecil; he ended things and wanted it that way, but with a baby, he
would never be free from her.
Cecil told him she was keeping it, and he had to get along with what the next couple of months would bring. He wanted to be involved in his son’s life and experience what it felt like to be a father. The decision to make was obvious. They would work out an understanding relationship until she gave birth to the child, and if the relationship they formed worked without major blowouts, then they would raise the baby together. If they couldn’t work together through these months, he would file for custody. He didn’t tell her any of this, and they had made it through last month smoothly.
The news of her pregnancy blew up last month, and she milked every moment. She had gone on talk shows and taken interviews to speak about how she felt about being pregnant with the child of the man who jilted her. Many have called her a superwoman for standing tall despite the world being against her.
Oliver didn’t mean to laugh when he saw the last line, but he couldn’t help it. The world wasn’t against her; she made terrible choices and suffered the consequences. No one was too special to face the tune of
their music in life.
When asked if Oliver had been there doing his duties as the parents, she said he had, and they were working out an understanding and getting back to where they once were.
Though the timing was off, it didn’t matter. Everything he had done in the last month had been for his
son, and he would keep doing it until he got to hold him in his arms.
“Good morning to you too, Cecil.” He said and picked up his tie from the bed.
“Good morning, Oliver; do not be late.”
“You do not have to tell me. I have a reminder on my phone. I’ll be there.”
She huffed, “That’s good, then I guess I’ll see you at the doctor’s office.” She said before ending the call rudely.

The one thing he was grateful for was the performance of the Place Eterprise in the best month the performance and revenue had taken everyone by storm. It dripped the fifth pin on the hostess monthly review board and landed fourth, trailing behind Gries Airs. If they kept the pare, they regation would find themselves at the top of the ladder before the year ends, a perawan they had never been in

There was no way to explain it, but it was good to be on the winning side for oce
Their recent breakthrough has kept them in the news for the led two weeks, with experts asking how they turned everything around in under six months, Investors and partners had also donbied, and with their investments, Plane Enterprise had been able to pay the Carela Group the percentage of the ban due
each month.
They had Imela to thank, and despite their current situation, they wouldn’t have come this far. Oliver also had Robb to thank because if he hadn’t taken the step, they would never have found a way out.
Imela made the news a week ago due to her break from Zion. The two ended things but remained silent on the reasons behind their breakup. Oliver never got into it because he wasn’t interested, he had enough on his plate. He knew one thing; a woman like Imela could do so much better than Zion, of all assholes. She was an intelligent woman, so he gave her the benefit of the doubt that she had good reason.
At least he wouldn’t have to see Zion’s nauseating face as he did when they were dating. That was something to be happy about.
He drove over to work and came up to his office floor, where he found many staff members working on the fifth floor standing around, not doing anything. He didn’t expect to find them buried headfirst in desk work this early, but whenever they saw him walking in, they usually returned to their various desks and offices and stayed there. Finding them standing around this way was strange.
Their attention lingered on him, and they all had mixed emotions on their faces: some confusion, some sadness, and some pity.
“Why are you all standing around?” he demanded, getting fed up by their gawking. “Is a party happening I am unaware of?” he asked silently.
While some returned to their various desks, others lingered around. This was the first.
What was happening? He approached Georgie’s post and found her standing there as well.
“What the fuck is happening? Do you care to explain?” he asked, staring at his P.A., who had a look of sadness on her face as she beheld him.
“She’s in your office, sir, waiting for you,” Georgie answered, and his eyes moved into his office following Georgie’s answer. He found Imela reviewing documents in his office and seated on his chair.
She sat as if she owned the place, and the sight dragged a frown onto his face.
This made his stomach turn, and not in a good way.
