Chapter 10
In my last life, my dad wanted to transfer shares to compensate me.[]
Eloise used this same method to accuse me of trying to kill her in front of the guests.[]
The camera at the stairway was broken.[]
And I was the only one standing there at the time.]
My dad dragged me downstairs, and the guests pointed fingers and scolded me.]
There were entertainment reporters mixed in at the party, and the flashbulbs constantly went off in Eloise’s face.]
Eloise, who was usually sensitive to flashes, finally snapped back to reality and screamed as she ran back to her room.
For a moment, I saw my parents‘ faces darken.]
I was taken to the hospital.]
My left leg was broken, and I hit my head on the ground, making me look badly injured.]
But it was all part of my plan.]
“Mom, Eloise didn’t do it on purpose. She must be scared too.” I struggled to sit up, looking at Eloise.
“Eloise, did I scare you?“]
I turned to my parents. “Mom, dad, let me talk to Eloise alone.“[]
My parents looked at me with concern.]
“Call us if you feel unwell. We’ll be right outside.“]
I nodded tearfully, watching them leave.]
Eloise sat on the sofa, her hands clenched, glaring at me with bloodshot eyes.[]
“Why did you set me up!“[]
I didn’t answer, turning my head to the window.
“Do you remember this room? It was when the flowers were in full bloom.“]
“Now, look again.” I shifted my gaze to Eloise.[]
“They’ve all withered.“]
A few wilted flowers peeked through the window.
I stopped beating around the bush and picked up my phone.]
The Price of Betrayal
Chapter 10
“Several entertainment reporters sneaked into the party. They must have taken some pictures.” I changed the subject.[]
“But I have them under control now. Aren’t I good to you, Eloise?“]
“What do you want?” Eloise stood by my bed, grabbing my wrist, her nails digging into my skin.]
Even though I was injured, I wasn’t dead.]
I twisted her wrist hard, making Eloise yelp in pain.[]
“7% of your shares.” I leaned over and whispered in her ear.
Eloise shook me off. “I only have 10%!”
I raised an eyebrow. I already knew that.
Leaving her 3% was just to humiliate her, to constantly remind her that the 3% was my charity.
“Deal.”
Eloise quickly agreed. “But you don’t have a printed contract. We’ll handle it after you’re discharged.“[]
She smirked, her expression arrogant.
“I have an electronic contract.” I smiled and handed her my phone. “This move is called ‘no mercy.““]
I placed my hand near the call button. “Sign it.“[]
Eloise took the phone with trembling hands, her face pale.[]
I knew exactly what she cared most about, what she feared losing the most.
“I’ll let you stay in the Rogers residence.“]
After much deliberation, my parents agreed to let Eloise stay.
I took the opportunity to mention the share transfer.[]
“Eloise is really kind.”
I leaned against my mom.]
“This must have caused some problems for the company. Mom, dad, you don’t have to stay with me.“[]
After they left, Eloise followed.]
I wasn’t afraid of what she might say. The security footage was hacked by me, leaving no evidence that I fell on purpose.[]
Even if she wanted to speak
