Alexander let out a cold laugh.
“Regretting your decision now, aren’t you?
“How about getting down on your knees and begging me?”
“Sure, I can’t give you the title of Mrs. Carter anymore, but since you stuck by
through some rough times, I could offer you a job as my secretary.”
“Td visit your place a few times a month, of course.”
“And naturally, you’d have to be a proper mistress and take good care of me.“]
His words made me clench my fists. []
“It’s been a while, but your mouth is even filthier than I remember.“[]

Alexander kept trying to pull me back in, hoping to make me regret leaving him.[]

work.

He lowered his head, stammering.
“Emma, I… I know I was wrong. Please… forgive me…]
“Forgive you? In your dreams!”
I rolled up the window and told my driver to leave.
The best decision I ever made was cutting ties with him.
I deserve love, and I’m ready for a future filled with it
