But Kamila, still stubborn, retorted.]
“I was just helping my mom teach a lesson to the mistress my dad’s been keeping. I didn’t do anything wrong!“|
She spoke with confidence, but her body was trembling slightly. I knew she was scared.
The police officer looked around at the mess in the house, frowning.
“Even if you were teaching a lesson to a mistress, you can’t break into someone’s home. That’s illegal”
Just as a few streamers were about to argue, I quickly pulled the officer in charge of the report into the bedroom.
“Officer, it’s not just the items in the living room. These people also destroyed the luxury bags and couture worth hundreds of thousands in my bedroom. They’re completely lawless and must be dealt with according to the law!”
The officer took one look at the bedroom, which was even more wrecked than the living room, and his expression turned serious.]

Several of the streamers chimed in to support her.
“Yeah, we can all vouch for that. Kamila’s mom ended up in the hospital because of this mistress. We were just helping her seek justice, that’s why we smashed those things. Is it a crime for a daughter to manage her father’s property?“]
They all spoke with such conviction, as if the idea that I was Peter’s mistress was an undeniable fact.]
But the police don’t base their cases on rumors; they rely on evidence.[]
While taking photos and documenting the scene, the officer replied.]
“It doesn’t matter what you claim about being able to smash these things. You need to provide evidence. Otherwise, this is
a criminal case of trespassing and destroying someone else’s property, which carries serious penalties.”
Then, the officer turned to me and asked.]
“What is your relationship with Kamila’s father?”
I quickly explained.]
“Whatever our relationship, it’s certainly not what they’re accusing me of. I’ve been wronged.“]
“And all the things in my house that were destroyed are valuable. I’ll organize the receipts and give them to you later. I want these people to compensate me fully!“]
As soon as I finished speaking. I noticed a few of the previously aggressive streamers trying to sneak out
But it was pointless to run; my home’s security cameras had captured everything they did.]
Seeing that I still refused to admit to any inappropriate relationship with Peter, Kamila started to sneer,
“Officer, don’t be fooled by this little tramp’s innocent appearance. She’s just trying to live the good life by breaking up other people’s familles. Someone like her can lie about anything.”
“Besides, I have evidence that my dad has been keeping her as a mistress. Just a few days ago, he spent tens of thousands to buy her a handbag, and they were hugging and cuddling in the car. If she’s not a mistress, then what is she?““]
The officer shot Kamila a cold look.
“The truth isn’t determined by a few words. You need to provide evidence.“[]
“Since you both have your sides of the story, you’ll have to bring your evidence to the station.”
As Kamila and the streamers were reluctantly taken away, I quietly tugged on the last officer’s sleeve, asking him to stay behind.[]
“Officer Martin, you mentioned that there was something suspicious about my mom’s car accident. What did you mean by that? I didn’t get a chance to ask earlier.”
Officer Martin sighed.]
“We initially believed your mother’s car accident was just that–an accident. But later, when we had experts restore the memory card from the car’s dashcam, we found out there was more to it.”
He pulled a memory card out of his pocket and handed it to me.[]
“Take a look for yourself. How you want to proceed is up to you. I know this is hard to accept, but there needs to be a resolution. Take your time to process it, and I’ll be waiting for you at the station.”
Watching Officer Martin leave, I was stunned
I had always thought there was something off about my mom’s accident, but Officer Martin’s expression suggested it was even more complicated than I had imagined.]
Holding the memory card, I headed to the underground parking garage.]
Thankfully, my laptop was still in the car and hadn’t been damaged.]
But the moment I saw what was on the memory card, it felt like I’d been plunged into an icy abyss.[]
I never expected that the person responsible for my mom’s death was Peter!
