PART 2 CHAPTER 102
JESS
The sun was warm on my skin, a comforting reminder that summer wasn’t quite over yet. I stood by my Jeep, watching as Luke hoisted the last of my bags into the back with effortless strength. His muscles flexed under his shirt, and I couldn’t help but admire him for a moment.
I leaned back, feeling a little ache between my thighs as crossed my legs. Luke woke me up in the middle of the night and then again this morning. Not that I minded; both times ended very, VERY well for me.
Once everything was packed, Luke leaned against the side of the Jeep, crossing his arms over his chest, his gaze fixed on me with that familiar, hungry look. I wanted to roll my eyes, though I felt a flutter in my stomach.

“What?” I asked, trying to sound casual, though my heart was racing.
“Nothing,” he replied, his voice low and smooth, but there was a playful glint in his eyes. Before I could say anything else, he reached out, pulling me close and kissing me with a passion that made my knees go weak.
His lips were warm and insistent, and I lost myself in the feel of him–his strength, his warmth, the way he held me like he never wanted to let go. Then there was the rock–hard length of him pressed into my stomach, letting me know that he would

honestly take me right here and right now. Luke pulled away and brought his lips to my ear. “I know what your thinking and the answer is yes, we do have time for me to fuck you in the pool house,” I pulled back and slugged Luke in the arm, not that he felt it. He only smirked and winked at me before pulling me in for another open–mouth, sloppy kiss.
When we finally broke apart, Luke rested his forehead against mine, his breath warm against my skin. “I’m gonna miss you,” he murmured. His eyes drifted down to the shorts I wore, and he shook his head with a teasing smile. “But you can’t wear those there. You need to remember I’m a jealous boyfriend.”
I rolled my eyes again, a smile tugging at my lips as I shoved lightly at his chest.“You’re impossible,” I teased.
He just grinned, that cocky, irresistible grin that always made my heart skip a beat. “Maybe, but those shorts make me want to take them off. I don’t think I can go 4 weeks without needing to be inside of you.” Luke’s voice was raspy, and I know he was genuinely concerned about that.
Luke is the most physiological being I know, and the truth was, he brought that part out in me, and I wasn’t sure either… “Find a distraction.” I offered, but Luke stepped in front of me, “You better not find a distraction – there I only me.“His voice was light, but his face was serious.
I couldn’t help but laugh, shaking my head.
He took my hand, threading his fingers through mine, and for a moment, we just stood there, holding on to each other. His expression softened as he looked at me. “I’m sorry I can’t drive you, but I’ve gotta be at practice. Coach is already on my case about missing last week.”

I squeezed his hand. “It’s fine. Besides,” I added, trying to lighten the mood, “I’m dropping Sam off on my way anyway, and then it’s just an hour’s drive from there”
Luke nodded, but he didn’t let go of my hand. “Text me when you get there, okay? I need to know you made it safe.”
I smiled, leaning up to kiss him on the cheek. “I will. Don’t worry so much.”
He chuckled softly, but his eyes were serious. “Can’t help it, Jess. Get used to it. Your brother would still kick my ass if anything happened to you.”
My heart swelled at his words, a warmth spreading through me. “I’ll miss you too, Luke,” I said softly, the reality of leaving starting to sink in.
With one last lingering kiss, I finally pulled away, the weight of the goodbye pressing on my chest. I climbed into the driver’s seat, glancing over at him one more time before starting the engine. Luke watched me with those intense, green eyes that always seemed to see right through me, and for a moment, I had to fight the urge to stay.
But I couldn’t. This was the beginning of something new, and no matter how much I’d miss him, we both had to do this,
“Drive safe,” Luke called as I started to back out of the driveway.
“Always,” I replied with a smile, giving him a small wave before pulling onto the road. I glanced in the rearview mirror and saw him standing there, arms folded, bulky muscle, watching me drive away until he was just a speck in the distance.
