Chapter 12
Luke called a waiter in and whispered something in his ear.
The waiter nodded respectfully and walked towards Camille.
Camille smiled at the man who had just bought the beers and ran towards Lake. But she was shocked when she saw the anger in Luke’s eyes.
She never thought about meeting him here..
She looked up at Luke, silent.
Luke was also looking at her. Ilis dark eyes looked weird and cold in such a nightclub.
“Lovely beer lady…”
Not far behind her, a man was calling out to Camille. Camille turned around and saw th that it was the man who had just bought beers from her.
Camille nodded at Luke as a greeting and was about to leave.
She would rather not earn from Luke.
“I don’t think it’s easy to make money from him,” Camille thought.
Just as she turned to run away, Luke strode toward her.
“Stop!”
Hearing the voice, Camille turned around and found that Luke was approaching her. The strong aura made her dare not move, and she stared at the ground.
Luke stood in front of her. His arrogant shadow enveloped her. Finally, she said, “Mr… Mr. Walter…”
Luke frowned and looked at her. She was wearing so little in a nightclub.
Camille slowly raised her head. When she felt Luke’s stern gaze, she bit her lips and hurriedly grabbed the edge of her skirt. However, the fabric of the skirt was not very elastic, and she couldn’t drag it to hide her thigh.
“Are you out of your mind because of poverty?” His words made her feel ashamed!
“What? I’m out of my mind because you have no money?” Camille thought.
She looked at him in disbelief. She took a deep breath, but she couldn’t suppress her anger no matter how hard she tried.” How could he judge her like that?
She didn’t have to drag her skirt. Camille pointed at the beers and said, “Yes, I am! I’m poor! Mr. Walter, have you ever seen a rich man selling beer here? But what does it have to do with you that I’m so poor? Do you want to buy beer? How many dozens do you want? Or you don’t want to buy beer at all? Enjoy your time. I’m going to sell my beers!”
It was off–duty time now. She could do a part–time job!
As Camille spoke angrily, Luke could see stubbornness in Camille’s eyes. “I’ll pay for all the beer you have!”
Camille thought, “Huh! How rich he is!”
She took the tray and said, “170 bottles. Mr. Walter, please pay the bill.”

Chapter 12
Luke pursed his lips and took out a cheque. “How much is it? You can write it down yourself.”
Camille was rendered speechless.
She looked t the cheque in front of her. Camille just said it in a moment of anger. She was not that mad to be crazy for
money.
“Forget it.”
Camille turned around.
But her wrist was suddenly grabbed. Luke’s face was darkened. He pulled her out of the bar, opened the sports car door, and stuffed her in.
He turned around and got into the car from the other side.
Camille asked. “What are you doing? It’s not working time at the Leicester Hotel.”
“Do you think you look good in this outfit? How come you sell beers in the bar?” Luke sat in the driver’s seat with a long face
“Have you forgotten that it is Saturday today? I’m off duty” Camille found that she couldn’t calm herself down even after taking a deep breath.
“How much do you care about money? You are even willing to degrade yourself to work in such a place for the money!” If he remembered correctly, the company had compensated her a million dollars for her father’s death. She should have lived a rich life, but now she was so down and out. She was willing to be a waiter in the Leicester Hotel and sell beers in the bar.
Luke thought, “Is it really like that middle–aged woman said, and Camille gave all the money to the man she raised?”
Camille found that she couldn’t have a good chat with him.
“I want to get out of the car,”
“I said I bought all your beers.”
Camille looked at him and said, “I’m going to sell all the brewing beers in this bar. Are you going to buy the bar too?”
After saying that, she turned her head.
She sounded provocative but couldn’t take back what she had said.
Luke didn’t get angry with her. “You can tell me if you need money”
“Thank you. I want to get out of the car!” Camille said as she opened the car door. A rich man like him would feel ashamed to sell beers in the bar, but Camille didn’t do anything wrong. She earned money through hard work, so she didn’t need to feel ashamed.
But the car door was locked, and she couldn’t open the door.
Luke held her hand tightly and said, “How about you don’t sell the beers? You sell yourself to me. I’ll give you whatever you want. Anyway, you’re wearing almost nothing.”

He held her chin with his big hand and pinched her fair and tender skin with his cold fingers. Anger filled his eyes.
“I want to get out of the car. She stared at him without blinking
“I said I’ll give you the money!” he pinched her chin, raised her head, and kissed her on the lips.
Camille seemed to be bitten by something.

She pushed him away abruptly, “Mr. Walter, you are so noble that you don’t know how helpless a poor person is. Everyone has their own way of making money, and those around you are rich. They don’t know how hard life is for the people at the bottom of society. I’m short of money but work hard to make a living. I don’t feel ashamed of myself!”
He was surprised.
Camille looked gentle on the surface but was so strong deep in her heart.
“Open the door, Camille tumed her head away.
Luke looked at her stubborn face and said in a low voice, “You can do other part–time jobs. You will suffer losses here. How many glasses of beer did you drink just now for selling bears? Do you have to suffer losses before knowing you are doing a stupid thing?”
Camille took a deep breath to prevent herself from crying. She didn’t drink many beers. She just drank a small glass of beer. Camille was afraid of getting drunk. She wouldn’t have made that mistake five years ago if she hadn’t been drunk.
“If you think I’m stupid, I will quit.”
Luke started the sports car and said calmly, I didn’t mean that.”
“I want to get out of the car.”
I’ve said you can’t go back and sell beers. Luke continued driving.
“Mr. Walter, are you free now? Why do you care about what your employees do after work?”
Luke pulled over abruptly.
He clenched the steering wheel with both hands. “She really likes talking back and never gives in,” he thought.
He opened the door and ordered coldly, “Get out of the car!”
Without saying a word, she got out of the car.
A gust of cold wind blew on her eyes, and the tears seemed to freeze.
She slammed the door and smoothed her messy hair. Many cars were passing by on the street, and she didn’t want to stay beside his car for even a minute, so she walked across the road.
Luke looked at her from the rearview mirror.
Beep! Beep! Beep!
Camille stepped back, but she didn’t see a car rushing over.
Luke got out of the car and walked quickly, only to find that she had covered her ears and ran to the other side of the road.
She opened her eyes, gasping for breath, and squatted on the side of the road, trembling with fear. Luke, who was not far behind her, was so scared that he clenched his fists.
It took Jenna a long time to find Camille in the bar. She helped Camille up from the roadside with a tray and asked, “Why are you crying? Who did you meet in the bar? You scared me.”
Camille stammered, “A dog…
“What? How come you meet a dog in the bar?”

In the distance, Luke took out a box of cigarettes and a lighter from his trouser pocket and lit one. He took a drag of his cigarette and exhaled the smoke. Luke looked at the figure walking far away, lost in thought.
