Chapter 27
“Are you…Camille Shelton?” Daisy pointed at the person in front of her in disbelief. How could it be? She thought she had already been…
It has been five years!
Oh my god!
She was still living in her home was working here all the while.
Did Natalie know about it?

Camille was startled by her sharp voice. “It’s me. What’s wrong with you?”
She was not a ghost either.
She was also surprised to meet Daisy.
This person was not an enemy, but definitely not a good friend too.
Daisy was startled, but she regained her sense of reality. Finally, she turned around and said something to her friends.
Then Camille saw those people leave and head in the opposite direction. They were heading toward the dining and dance
area
Camille knew Daisy well and didn’t want to talk to her much. Therefore she turned around to walk in the opposite direction.
“Wait a minute!” Daisy ran a few steps forward and stopped her immediately.
Camille’s nose was wrinkled when she sniffed Daisy. She could smell the scent of her perfume on her body. “Is there something I can help you with?”
Daisy had a sentimental smile on her face.
Looking at Camille’s face, she said, “What? Are you speechless when you see your senior? It’s also nice to catch Hey, anyway, how did you end up being a waitress here? The salary here must be very high indeed!”
up with you.
Daisy’s fingers were holding onto Camille’s name tag near her chest. “Restaurant? So, you’re working for the restaurant,” she said.
“Let it go!” Camille pushed her hand away.
Daisy snorted while crossing her arms. She stared intensely at her with an arrogant and proud attitude. “You have a very bad temper now. Anyway, how have you been? I heard you went abroad, so how did you end up like this? What kind of husband did you marry in the end? Can’t he support you? Or is it…that no one dares to marry you? Oh, that’s right, who would marry a convicted murderer? However, if you’re willing, I don’t mind having my husband introduce you to some of his company’s employees. At least they can feed you.”
It was a personal attack, and Camille was struck in a sore spot. All her nerves were taut, and her face turned deathly pale.
Her thoughts seemed to bring her back to the past, and she remembered her days in the dark prison where there was no sunlight.
The memories were too much to bear.
It had been years since she thought she had forgotten all those bad memories.

Whenever she met an acquaintance or heard someone mention prison or murder, those words would open up that scabbed- over wound, and it hurt her whenever people said that.
Only she was left to suffer the excruciating pain and the spasms that wracked her body.
Therefore, she feared encountering acquaintances, classmates, and anyone who knew about her past, especially those who knew about her and Trevor’s affair!
She held the tray with her trembling hands. The icy–cold feeling of holding it in her hand felt like the knife she had held
years ago.
She started panicking, and her facial expression was full of fear. It was a nerve–wracking memory for her, she recalled.
[Clink.]
The tray in her hand fell to the ground.
She suddenly opened her eyes and looked in agony at the silver tray on the ground as if she had seen the bloody knife that fell on the ground years ago.
“I didn’t…” she trembled while holding back her tears. She took a few steps back.
“What?” Daisy didn’t hear clearly.
Camille stepped back a step at a time, murmuring in pain, shaking her head, and saying, “I didn’t, I didn’t kill anyone…” All the suppressed pain surged up like a tide. She felt extremely depressed as no one could understand her pain.
She felt her lips bleeding, and a bloody taste filled her mouth.
Blood again. She hated blood.
She told Daisy, “I am not a murderer. I am not…really.”
Her voice was incredibly soft.
“You’re crazy! I’m just concerned about you. Trevor is already married. What are you waiting for? Forget it. I’m leaving first Really…” Daisy turned and left.
“Hey, pretty.”
A sudden male voice brought Camille back to reality.
She turned around and saw the Glondomian man in the banquet hall, the one who looked at her strangely.
“Excuse me, sir. You’ve got the wrong place. That is the way to go Camille said.
“Pretty…”
The Glondomian man seemed not to have heard her words and continued to approach her with a lewd smile.
His intentions were obvious, and Camille was frightened.
She wanted to scream but found that there was no one around.
Meanwhile, on the other side.
“Where is Trevor?” Luke emerged from inside and saw Sarah standing alone in the open space.

Sarah turned around and blinked her eyes. “I don’t know. He said he wanted to take a walk alone.”
Luke noticed the loneliness in Sarah’s eyes and frowned. “Which way did he go?”
“That way.” Sarah pointed to the east.
“CEO!” the manager of the housekeeping department greeted him.
“Hmm,” Luke responded and then turned around to ask, “Have you seen Trevor?”
Staff of the housekeeping department already knew Trevor and pointed in the direction Sarah‘ indicated. “I saw Mr. Trevor walk that way alone just now.”
Luke nodded and walked in that direction, as mentioned previously.
Sarah stood there, looking at the beautiful night. She felt she could feel the breeze, and it was very cold.
Natalie, who had returned home just now, went over there again. She saw Sarah and felt that her side profile was familiar, but she wasn’t sure if it was the person in the photo.
Natalie carried the bag in her hands, wearing high heels. She walked over.
Sarah heard some noise as she turned around, her gaze colliding with Natalie Turner’s. Their eyes met, and their eye contact remained.
“Excuse me, are you Sarah ?” Natalie looked around cautiously and murmured.
Sarah was surprised. “How do you know who I am? I don’t seem to know you!”
“Five years ago…” Natalie slowly opened her mouth, her eyes flickering uncertainly. “We talked on the phone.”
Sarah covered her mouth in shock and widened her eyes in fear
After a while, she regained her composure. “Let’s go somewhere else to talk.”
Natalie frowned and looked at Sarah’s shocked face. She took a deep breath.
Camille could have been dead. She had passed away. What is this woman afraid of?
Could it be…is Camille still alive?
The sudden appearance of flowers at the grave of Camille’s passing father was very strange!
