Chapter 6
Camille was particularly busy on Monday.
There were many things to discuss with the people in that building in the early morning.
Kim was asked to go by Camille. Camille didn’t want to see the CEO again.
Because she saw what happened that day, it must make the CEO want to kill her!
At noon, the restaurant door opened, and Luke came in with a serious and cold face. Everyone was frightened to stay still.
Mr. Tate, who often wore a smile, came in behind Luke, but there was no expression on his face. And the woman who had an affair with the CEO also came in.
The chefs stood in a line.
Adam glanced at them and asked, “Do you know how to make ravioli?”
The head chef was surprised. “Mr. Tate, we don’t do that kind of food.”
Rachelle carefully observed Luke’s cold eyes and said, “It’s my fault to tell the guest that the chef of Leicester Hotel can do ravioli. Mr. Walter, can we go out and buy it now?”
“Do you think Mr. and Mrs. Lucas are fools? Or do you think you are very smart?” Luke’s rich voice was cold and indifferent. Everyone in the restaurant had their hearts in their mouths for Ms. George.
Camille knew that this lady was the CEO’s lover. He would coax her later, no matter how she was scolded in front of others.
But this lady thought too simply. The customers wanted the hotel to make it. How could it taste the same as going downtown so far and bringing it back?
A foodie would know whether it was made here or bought from other places at once.
All of a sudden, something occurred to Jenna. She grabbed Camille’s arm and said, “She can!”
Almost at the same time, everyone’s eyes fell on Camille.
“Ah, I can’t!” Camille hurriedly waved her hand.
Luke looked at Jenna with his sharp eyes. Jerma immediately said. “This morning, she brought the ravioli she made last night. She is going to give it to us for lunch.”
Camille was speechless. Ravioli brought her trouble!
She went to get ravioli and opened the lunch box. Luke took the cutlery from the foreman and picked up one. Camille was so nervous that she almost felt suffocated.
She was under so much pressure until Luke seriously stared at Camille and commented on her ravioli, “No, it’s too casually made
Camille was rendered speechless.
do it?” he Luke seemed to have noticed her nervousness, and his obsidian–like eyes met hers. “You have to remember that the ravioli you make are for the most distinguished guests of Leicester Hotel. You should try your best to make it. Can you asked aggressively.
Camille was not sure.

“I remember that you majored in hotel management. You should know what it means to find a way to succeed, not to find an excuse for failure. No one will blame you if you can’t do it well. But it’s not the same if you don’t work hard. He seemed to have given her reassurance but also seemed to be tempting her. After saying that, Luke turned around.
Adam was in a good mood now that he had found a solution and wouldn’t disappoint the strict couple.
Before leaving, he gave Camille a thumbs up and said, “If you behave well, maybe you will get a promotion.”
Camille felt stressed. She had heard of Mr. and Mrs. Lucas when she was an intern in a hotel in Glondom. They were very picky.
She wasn’t sure whether the ravioli she made would satisfy them but would she get a promotion if they were happy with it? The CEO seemed to be pickier. He could even tell that it was made by her casually!
“Camille, do you need me to stay and help you?
It was time to get off work, and everyone had left. Only Jenna still remembered that she was busy making ravioli in the
kitchen.
“No, thanks. Til take my time. Camille frowned and smelled the filling. She asked Jenna to leave first, then concentrated on cooking in the kitchen.
Bang!
As soon as Luke pushed the door open and walked into the restaurant, he heard the sound and raised his eyebrows.
Camille picked up the
things on the ground and put them away. When she turned around, she gasped in fright. “Mr. Walter Luke’s cold gaze only stayed on her little face for two seconds. Then he turned to her ravioli. “If you are not confident, I can ask someone to come to cook for them.”
When he came to the restaurant at noon and knew that no chef could cook it, he planned to hire someone to do it.
Adam had the same thought, but he still let her do it.
Camille thought about possibly getting promoted if she performed well, so she nodded firmly. “I can!”
She began to be busy in the kitchen. There was half an hour before Mr. and Mrs. Lucas’s dinner. It was too hasty.
Luke stood there.
He was watching her cooking in the kitchen. She was nervous, swallowing saliva from time to time. As she was cutting, a sharp pain came from the tip of her finger, and the knife fell on the chopping board.
Camille held her bleeding finger and frowned.
“What’s wrong?” Luke came over and grabbed her hand. Her finger was bleeding.
Camille drew her hand back, washed it with running water, and lowered her head. Don’t worry. I’m running out of time.” She quickly cut a piece of cloth, wrapped it around her finger to stop bleeding, and began to work again.
At this time, Luke’s phone rang. He frowned and answered it.
Camille heard a soft voice from the other end of the line.
Half an hour later, Camille habitually put a card with blessing words into the meal box. Seeing the beautiful waitress of the hotel leave the restaurant, she breathed a sigh of relief at the stars all over the sky.

With her bag on her back, she was about to close the restaurant door to get off work. When she turned around, she bumped into something hand.
“Mr. Walter Camille raised her head.
Luke nodded and took her hand. She shrank back.
But it didn’t work. His deep eyes were fixed on her injured finger. He took the cloth that she hurriedly wrapped around it and applied the medicine to her wound. She frowned in pain.
“Don’t worry too much about the comments of Mr. and Mrs. Laigas. It doesn’t mean that you ate bad. They are probably not used to eating ravioli, just like you may not like food in Termain Luke let go of her fingers. Her hand was tiny, but there were several calluses in her palm.
“Thank you,” said Camille, enduring the pain in her finger.
Luke put away the liquid medicine and looked at her long eyelashes in the dim light. His deep eyes looked at her, and he said in a low voice, “It’s late. Do you want me to drive you home?
