Chapter 175
The operating room was a whirlwind of chaos, and it was enough to make. my head spin.
“Antonio, you’re a dead man!” I roared.
The lead surgeon was trembling so badly that he could barely grip his scalpel.
Once he realized what was happening, he lashed out at us, “This is a hospital! You can’t just storm in here without permission!”
Duncan wasn’t having any of it. He charged over and sent the surgeon flying with a kick. “Who said you could lay a hand on my niece?”
The surgeon’s glasses went flying, and his hand hit the wall, making him wince in pain as he yelled at the cops, “Officers, look! They broke in here. and attacked me! I’m going to sue them!”
Caroline, seeing the surgeon on the floor, stormed over to help him find his glasses, fuming. “This operation was supposed to be overseen by Dr. Parrish. If he finds out you’ve hurt his best student, you’ll be facing a lawsuit that’ll leave you broke!”
Tristan just laughed it off, “Oh? I didn’t know I was the one who taught you to go after my niece’s kidney.”
“If we had to pay up to the point of going bankrupt, you wouldn’t know. what to do with all that cash,” Tristan added with a sneer.
The surgeon, still trying to play it cool, looked at Tristan as het
approached, “My mentor is famous, but not everyone who shares his name. is worthy of his reputation.”

The surgeon got his glasses back from Caroline and his vision was clear.
He did a double–take when he recognized Tristan’s face. His bravado. disappeared, and he looked terrified, cowering against the wall. “M–Mr. Parrish…”
His face was a picture of fear. Caroline and Antonio could sense that something wasn’t right.
Linda, on the other hand, was like a cat on hot bricks.
“Dr. Cowan, get up and perform the surgery on my grandchild! I’ll handle these people!” she barked.
Then, Linda grabbed a scalpel, pressed it to her neck, and a tiny bead of blood welled up. “No one can stop Dr. Cowan from saving my
grandchild! My granddaughter’s kidney donation is her choice, got it? It’s her decision!”
The cops, seeing she was losing it, silently signaled for us to make a quick exit from the operating room.
Linda, seeing her scheme had worked, smirked at me, “Grace, you’re the reason this worked!”
But she didn’t see Charlie Cowan, huddled in the corner, too feeble to
stand.
The cops, after Tristan flashed his ID, quickly verified who he was.
They seized the moment when Linda let her guard down and grabbed the scalpel away.
As Charlie was getting cuffed, he crawled over to Tristan, desperately bowing his head to the ground. “Mr. Parrish, I’ve messed up! I let greed cloud my judgment. Please put in a good word for me. I swear I’ll never do it again…”

“From now on, do not say you were my student. Go to jail and figure out how to be a better person!” said Tristan.
For
Faced with accusations of practicing medicine without a license, over- treating patients, and performing surgeries without consent, any one of these could land him in jail.
As Charlie was hauled off, Antonio and Linda just stood there, stunned.
“Grace, your second brother is the renowned Dr. Parrish?” Linda’s expression changed in an instant.
Linda put on a fake smile. “Grace, if you’d mentioned that Dr. Parrish is your brother, we wouldn’t have had some hack messing with Carson. This is a big mix–up.
“Grace, get your brother to operate on Carson and Mollie. With him at the helm, Carson will be fine!”
I gave Linda a cold stare, my voice as chilly as my gaze. “Was it me who kept it a secret, or did you guys just turn a deaf ear? Didn’t you hear what Tristan said? Carson doesn’t need an operation! And as for why you’re so keen on cutting him open, you guys should think about it!”
