Chapter 11
“Let’s get going ASAP. I’ve got some free time and can tag along,” Lewis said, pulling out his phone to make
arrangements with Theo.
“Just the two of us? Wouldn’t that look like we’re a couple on a honeymoon?” Grace thought, blushing.
They set off in no time, flying to Northern Eablea first. They hopped from city to city for a few days. Then, Lewis whisked her away to the mountains, where they stayed in a cozy wooden cabin with just one bed.
Grace started setting up a makeshift bed on the floor, thinking it wouldn’t be right to take the bed from her boss.
Seeing this, Lewis said, “Are you kicking me out of bed? It’s small but we can’t make do for the night.”
Grace suddenly went rigid, her face flushing all the way to her ears. “I don’t think that’s a good idea,” she mumbled.

Lewis, with dark circles under his eyes, got up from the floor and calmly said, “Someone will pick us up later. I need to head back home.”
Lewis stayed quiet during the trip, his eyes closed. The car drove them through a few cities before finally reaching the airport.
Then, he spoke, sounding serious. “Please mull over what I said last night.”
He said a few more words to her before reluctantly leaving.
Grace felt like she was back in her college days, falling in love for the first time.
