Chapter 25
A year after Grace and Lewis got married, they had a baby girl named Abby.
Soon after Abby was born, they returned home for a few months, because Tessa really wanted to see the child.
“Abby looks just like Lewis when he was a kid. Your husband used to be so cute. He even wrote you love letters, but he never sent them out,” Tessa said while playing with Abby. Then she handed Grace the letters she had sorted out.
Curiously, Grace opened the letters one by one. However, before she could start reading, Lewis snatched them away.
The once steady Lewis blushed like a teenager. He grabbed the love letters and burned them in the kitchen, leaving no
trace.
Grace asked suspiciously, “Why won’t you let me read them? Are you afraid I’ll laugh at you?
“Or are they for someone else?”
Lewis also teased, “They are indeed for someone else.”
Hearing that, Grace didn’t get mad. She just laughed and said, “Anyway, you are mine now.”
Lewis couldn’t help but get excited. He lifted her up in a spin, causing the nanny to rush over and stop him, “She just gave birth to a baby, so you can’t do this. Be careful not to fall!”
Chapter 25
Just then, Edith rushed over from the door in a panic, saying that a gentleman had put down a package and then left directly. “I saw him from afar. He watched Miss Morton for a while, then put down a package and left. Could it be a bomb?”
“Edith, you must be watching too much TV,” Lewis said as he picked up the suspicious package and went outside. After a while, he came back in and said, “It’s nothing. Just a hat and a property deed.”
After speaking, he looked at Grace with a sour expression and said, “That man was probably Antonio.”
Grace took the package over and was then stunned.
When she was in school, she loved buying hats, all kinds of hats. As a result, when Antonio remembered, he would also buy them for her.
Looking at the property deed, Grace was lost in thought. She was surprised that the house had not been sold and was still under her name.
She remembered what Antonio had said back then.
He said, “If you like me, this house is my betrothal gift to you. If you don’t like me, consider it the dowry I prepare for you.”
Looking back now, Grace felt like it was a lifetime ago.
“He’s not gone far yet,” Edith muttered, and Grace’s gaze turned outside the door.
“What are you thinking? You are not touched by such stuff and going to abandon your husband and daughter, then leave with him, are you?” Lewis said and pushed her out the

door.
The two walked outside the door but saw no one.
“He probably left by driving, and you won’t have a chance to leave with him then. It’s cold outside. The nanny will get worried again,” Lewis continued joking as he held her hand and entered the door.
Grace smiled and followed him. She glanced back again before entering the door. It was not that she was feeling any regret. She was just bidding farewell to her own youth.
Antonio saw Grace’s daughter from afar, and she was little. Though he couldn’t see her clearly, he was sure she looked just like Grace.
He heard that Grace’s career was doing very well now. Although she still needed the support from the Morton family, she had already established her own branch company.
She could clearly be a pampered lady, but she didn’t choose to be.
Grace was getting more and more beautiful, but more than
that.
Antonio remembered what Grace had said before, that she would definitely make a difference in the business world, and now she had made it.
He was happy for her. However, as he thought about it, he felt as if his throat was being crushed by a boulder, unable to breathe, his heart filled with bitterness.
Everything before his eyes gradually blurred, and Antonio

quickly pulled over to the side of the road to rest.
There was a family of three walking by. Bathed in the glow of the setting sun, they looked warm and happy.
Antonio was hurt by this scene and closed his eyes.
He thought, “If I could go back to that year, I wouldn’t let it all happen.
“I would introduce Grace to all my friends, marry her, and have a child with her.
“We would have a lovely child who looks like both of us.
“We would take ordinary walks on ordinary days, enjoying the quiet years.”
Thinking of that, Antonio opened his eyes, raised his face, and held back the tears.
He didn’t dare to look back, nor did he dare to expect the
future.
Not far away, the little girl’s princess dress was like a blooming flower, making Antonio’s eyes and heart sting.
He never expected that the first half of his life would be so absurd.
He didn’t expect that his once within–reach happiness would be given away by his own hands.
Antonio went abroad overnight. He didn’t dare to stay there any longer, afraid that he would suddenly break down on the busy street.
Chapter 25
He could feel Grace’s presence everywhere, lingering around him and refusing to leave.
Antonio should have had a happy life, but now he could only end it like this.
But fortunately, Grace was happy.
The end.
