Love Story1 Chapter 1
Love Story1–Chapter 1
My daughter’s mangled body was dumped in front of me like garbage.
“You monster! You sick bastard! I’ll kill you!” I screamed,
“I’m sorry, Chloe. It’s all my fault. Mommy failed to protect you,” I sobbed, my heart breaking into pieces.
I wanted to fight, to rip the maniac apart, but my arms and legs were pinned by chains.
My entire body was battered, blood soaking through my clothes.
the slightest movement sent a searing pain through me.
The maniac’s scarred face twisted into a cruel smile.
“You know, while you’re down here bleeding out, your husband, Evan Carter, is upstairs having a romantic dinner with another woman.”
His words stabbed deeper than any blade.
Images of the moments before my capture flashed through my mind.
Evan’s cold eyes met mine as he said, “According to my research, the Rainy Night Butcher only targets single, unmarried women. You’re the perfect bait to take Lila’s place at the chapel.”
I begged him not to.
Pleaded for him to reconsider.
But he walked off with Lila, laughing, leaving me to be dragged to an abandoned chapel by his hired thugs.
My hands and feet were tied as they left me there.
Evan was wrong.
Dead wrong.
The Rainy Night Butcher didn’t care about my marital status.
He captured me, tortured me, and even took my daughter.
The roaring sound of the chainsaw filled my ears as searing pain tore through me.
Hot blood gushed from my wounds.
I died that night–died in regret and agony at the hands of the maniac.
But for some reason, my soul didn’t fade.
Instead, I found myself back in our home, where Evan and Lila sat across from each other at a candlelit dinner.
Their eyes met, brimming with affection.
“Evan, thank you for taking me to Riverwood this morning and for agreeing to marry me,” Lila said, raising her glass of red wine.
“Without your help, I would’ve spent my last days suffering at the hands of that butcher.”
Her voice cracked, and tears glistened in her eyes.
She dabbed at them delicately with a tissue, all the while putting on the performance of a lifetime.
Evan leaned closer, tenderly wiping away her tears.
“Lila, Ed do anything for you. All I want is to see you happy.”

Love Story1–Chapter 1
“I’m so lucky to have you,” Lila murmured, curling into his arms like a kitten.
Evan held her tightly, his face glowing with a smile that felt like a dagger to my heart.
I couldn’t look away.
I thought of Chloe, clutching onto me as the chains bit into her skin.
“Mommy, Daddy will save us, right?” she asked, her innocent voice full of hope,
But Daddy never came.
Chloe was kicked to death, one blow at a time.
when I was lashed with hundreds of strokes and sawed into pieces, Evan was still nowhere to be found,
He was too busy with Lila, planning their wedding, ignoring all moral decency,
It’s absurd.
It’s laughable.
Ten years of devotion–what did it mean?
“By the way, hasn’t Ava been awfully quiet today?”
Lila asked, her voice dripping with faux concern.
“Do you think something happened?”
Lila’s sugary tone only masked her true intentions.
She wanted me dead.
Even her “illness” was an act.
I knew that better than anyone.
Evan’s expression darkened at the mention of my name.
That woman is such a jealous nag. When I used to go out with you, she’d call every five minutes. She’s exhausting. That’s why I turned off my phone
He sneered.
“If she hadn’t dragged you out at midnight, you wouldn’t have caught the Rainy Night Butcher’s attention.”
It was laughable.
Lila had ignored my warnings and insisted on getting barbecue late at night.
That’s when the threats started.
I’d explained this countless times to Evan, but he refused to believe me.
To him, I was always in the wrong, always the villain.
Finally, Evan turned his phone back on.
A stream of notifications poured in.
He opened the messages and froze.
They were from me–messages I had sent while tied up, with Chloe next to me.
The Rainy Night Butcher had forced me to plead for help.
