Love Story2 Chapter 1
Love Story2–Chapter 1
As Robert Wright wished, I finally died this time.
I transformed into a soul, standing blankly by the hospital bed, clearly seeing my own body.
I lay there quietly, eyes shut, covered in wounds and blood.
It was a miserable sight.
My heart tightened a little; I never expected to die so tragically.
ugly appearance–I bet Robert would find it disgusting too.
The doctors around looked at my body with pity.
“Dr. Wright’s wife has passed away. He probably doesn’t know yet.”
“Poor Ms. Ava, she was hit so terribly.”
“Her organs ruptured, and there was severe bleeding. Actually… if Dr. Wright had performed the surgery, there might have been a slim chance of
success.”
Just then, an angry voice interrupted their conversation.
“Dr. Wright is busy with his mistress right now. He doesn’t have time to rush back to perform surgery.”
I immediately recognized the person speaking up for me.
It was Lucas Anderson.
I stared at him blankly, feeling a twinge of bitterness in my heart.
We grew up together; he was my childhood friend.
Whenever I argued with Robert, only Lucas would stand by me and defend me.
Seeing me upset over Robert and Molly Brown, Lucas had advised me to divorce Robert several times.
Because of this, Robert often suspected I had an inappropriate relationship with Lucas.
But Lucas and I were just friends.
He liked men, so how could there be anything inappropriate between us?
No matter how many times I explained to Robert, he still didn’t believe me.
Even though he was always tangled up with Molly, he still questioned my relationship with Lucas.
Thinking about it, I sneered and retorted, “You’re my husband, yet you’re always with Molly. If I recall correctly, she’s your first love, right?
Hearing my question, Robert’s face showed a moment of discomfort.
But quickly, he snapped back angrily, “Don’t say nonsense. There’s nothing between Molly and me. Her husband passed away, and she just returned from Australia, struggling with depression. Of course, I have to make time for her.”
“And you, even though you have a husband, you’re always close to Lucas. I haven’t even questioned you about that.”
“In any case, don’t have such filthy thoughts!”
Robert looked down at me, coldly, as if he was the righteous one and I was some unforgivable sinner.
