White
I donated all my assets and visited Nora late at night. The night sky was dotted with stars. I hugged Nora’s tombstone, just like I used to hold her white we sat on the grass, counting the stars together.
“Mommy, that star is so light. What’s its name?”
“That’s the North Star, sweetie,”
“Mommy, why is the moon sometimes round and sometimes shaped like a banana?”
Mommy, when will Daddy come home.”
Nota’s voice echoed in my ears. My eyelids grew heavier, and I eventually couldn’t keep them open any longer. It felt like I was dreaming again.
Noth ran toward me, “Mommy, why are you here?”
1 hugged her tightly and said, “My sweet baby, Mommy missed you. We’ll never be apart again.”
