Chapter S
Chapter 5
The friend pulled out his phone, “I still have the chat records from two years ago. Is this the phone you see me from the off road rac
Nelson stood up, his face darkening as he took the phone.
I could see him trembling with intense anger.
He threw the phone at Tiffany’s head
Tiffany screamed in pain, clutching her bleeding head in panic.
‘t you the one who can’t reverse?”
“Tiffany, you killed my mom?”
In a fit of rage, Nelson Tony unleashed a flurry of blows on Tiffany Byron. She begged for mercy, even koweling and knocking her head on the ground, but Nelson, blinded by fury, couldn’t stop himself.
“Why? Why did you block the road? Why didn’t you let the ambulance through?” he shouted, finally pausing to catch his breath.
Tiffany, bruised and battered, no longer resembled the vibrant birthday girl she had been. Tears streamed down her face as she cried, “I just couldn’t stand Cara Ruskin. I thought I was helping by showing her the way, so I deliberately made things difficult for her, I didn’t know Auntie was in the ambulance
“Now what good is that?” I thought butterly. Mom was gone, and no amount of explanation could bring her back.
The friends around us, initially hestand, began to turn on Tiffany
“No matter who was in the ambulance, it was a life that needed saving. How could you do this?”
“Tiffany, as a woman, how could you be so heartless?
“Does it matter if it was someone else in the ambulance? Should they die just because you wanted to make things hard for Cara?”
“You’re not human; you’re a beast?”
Nelson yanked Tiffany by the hair, dragging her to me. “Apologize to my wife.”
Tiffany, who had always looked down on me, clearly thought herself above me. She was unwilling to apologize.
Shaking her head, she pleaded with Nelson, “Nelson, please don’t make me apologize. Now that Auntie is dead, we can get married. Am I not your most
beloved woman?”
Nelson glared at her with a fierce expression. “You wretch, you killed my mother, and you think I’ll marry you?”
“I might have thought that before, but that was just your sweet talk fooling me.”
“Now I see clearly; you returned to me because you were discarded. I’m not a trash can to hold your garbage.”
Tiffany looked at him in despair. “How can you call me garbage?”
Nelson sneered, “Aren’t you? Didn’t someone throw you away?”
“Didn’t that man abroad reject you?”
“You came back because you couldn’t survive over there, right?”
“I must have been blind to fall for you.”
With that, unable to suppress his anger, Nelson forced her head down, making her knock it against the ground time and again.
Tiffany’s head spun from the blows. Nelson demanded. “I want you to apologize. Apologize to my wife.”

Chapter 5
Tearing for her life, Tiffany quickly said, Tm sorry, Cara Ruskin. I’m sorry?
1 replied coldly, “What good is an apology? Mom is gone.”
My words stung both me and Nelson. He struck Tiffany again, beating her until she was barely conscious, blood spilling from her mouth.
Nelson carefully picked up the ashes from the ground, unwilling to miss a single grain. I helped him gather the ashes, not because I still had feelings for him, but because Mom had treated me well, and I didn’t want her remains scattered in the dirt.
Friends joined in to help, but even so, it was nearly dark by the time we had collected all the ashes.
Nelson held the urn and approached me, saying, “Cara, I’m sorry.”
AC
hook my head. “Don’t call me wife, we are destined to divorce.”
Dicker of pain crossed Nelson’s face as he trembled. “I was wrong. Can you give me another chance?”
1 replied, “From the moment Mom died, our fate was sealed. Notify me when she’s buried. I will definitely be there.”
With that, I turned and walked away.
Two days later, I received an unexpected call from Tiffany, her tone unug “Cara Rinkin, you didn’t expect this, did you? I’m living in Nelson’s house now. He hit me that day because he was so angry, but he has forgiven me *
I chuckled softly. “Whether he forgives you or not has nothing to do with me. I’ve decided to divorce him.”
Tiffany scoffed. “What if you don’t want to divorce? it doesn’t matter; Nelson will initiate it himself.”
“Don’t you understand why he wants me to stay at his house?”
“It’s so I can become the mistress of this household. “
“Now you see how important i am to him, right? I’m more important than his mother.”
I snegred. “He won’t forgive you”
Tiffany laughed dismissively. “You have no idea what my status is in his heart. If it were you, he wouldn’t forgive you, but it’s different for me.”
“Do you know the significance of the words childhood sweethearts?”
I fouldn’t be bothered to argue and hung up the phone.
Though I didn’t know why Nelson wanted Tiffany to stay, I was sure he would never forgive her.
No one could ever hold the same place in his heart as his mother.
I was curious, though, about why he was doing this.
That night, Nelson called me to say that Mom would be buried the next day.
“I will definitely be there on time.”
Later that evening, something happened.
Someone posted the video of Tiffany blocking the ambulance online, sparking intense discussions.
The backlash against Tiffany was overwhelming,
Her past was also exposed, revealing that she had pretended to be wealthy abroad, mingling in high society as a socialite, and had even latched onto a
rich man.
