As that thought crossed her mind, she glanced at Chloe, who had just stepped out of the bathroom wrapped in a towel.
She thought, “Yep, the boobs. That’s the big difference right there.”
“Chloe, what are you planning to wear for fishing tomorrow?”
Chloe, slightly puzzled, replied, “I guess just some workout gear? Isn’t that practical?”
“Workout gear? That’s so boring! There’s bound to be a lawn at the fishing spot. Don’t you want to look a little cute?” Candy protested, her enthusiasm palpable.
Chloe chuckled and rubbed her belly. “I’m a mom now. What’s the point of dressing up?”
“Who says being a mom means you can’t look fabulous? Tomorrow, I’ll style you up. I promise you’ll leave those guys

Chloe felt a twinge of anxiety about sharing a bed with Candy, worried about the possibility of passing on her worries. So, she took out two extra blankets and changed the sheets on her bed.
“Candy, you can take this blanket!” Chloe said, handing it over.
While Candy wanted to reassure her that there was no need to be so uptight, she knew that if she pushed back, Chloe would just end up restless all night. So, she reluctantly nodded in agreement.
Lying in bed, Candy found herself wide awake, unable to sleep. She decided to gossip with Chloe instead. “So, Chloe, between James and Michael, who do you feel more drawn to these days?”
Candy thought, “How many people get to live with two handsome guys? Chloe should totally explore this!”
Chloe hadn’t given it much thought lately, especially with everything going on with her health. “What are you talking about? Don’t be silly.”
“I’m serious! Do you really want to be a single mom forever? Sure, we don’t need a man to survive, but it’s not like we’re completely against having one around.”
Chloe raised an eyebrow. “What’s the difference?”

But as soon as Candy’s situation was brought up, her excitement waned. She lay back, staring at the ceiling. “Marriage? That’s way too soon.”
Candy thought to herself, “I’m not even thirty yet! If I get married now, I’ll spend half my life doing laundry, cooking, and raising kids!”

“Wesley is doing well for himself. Doesn’t he have staff at home? You won’t be stuck doing everything yourself,” Chloe reassured her.
