After the meal, Asher and Michael walked out of the restaurant 

and sent her to the car. 

Thera got in the car. Then, she lowered the window and said, “Mr. Shawn, I’m looking forward to working with you. See you later.” 

Michael nodded politely. “Goodbye, Ms. Travis.” 

After Thera left, Asher bumped into Michael’s shoulder and said, “Michael, when did you become so numb? Do you know that you can’t say you are married in front of a single female entrepreneur? Besides, you are not married.” 

Asher thought, “He said Chloe is his wife. Does Chloe know that? Does Chloe agree?” 

“What does it have to do with me whether she’s single or not?” 

Michael rarely asked questions, and he asked very sincerely this 

time. 

Asher was stunned and didn’t want to bother with him. 

“Alright. Now that the cooperation is settled, I have finally put my mind at ease. I’m leaving first. Vicky has been making 

trouble lately.” 

Hearing Vicky’s name, Michael subconsciously thought of James. He asked before his mind reacted, “What happened to Vicky?” 

“What else could she do? I don’t know what went wrong with her that day. She came back and said she wanted to go on a blind date and that she wanted to get married by the end of this year!” 

Asher heard Michael’s question and seemed to have found an outlet. So, he told Michael everything. 

“She wanted to get married this year, but it’s just a few months away now. Is she crazy? She didn’t want to get married before, and now she wants to. Are all women so hard to guess?” 

Michael nodded when he heard this. “Yes.” 

“Didn’t she like James? She was determined to be with James, 

but now she has given up?” 

Asher really couldn’t understand. Vicky had been going on blind dates these past few days, meeting almost ten guys a day. He nearly thought she had mental problems. 

“Do you think there is a possibility that James doesn’t like her?” 

After all, Michael saw the whole thing in the villa that day and knew what James had said to Vicky.

Asher became angrier as he spoke and walked to the intersection to get a taxi. “Forget it. I won’t say any more. I’ll try to persuade her. How could she just love one man? Isn’t she crazy?” 

Michael was speechless. 

He thought, “Why do I feel like I was being mocked? 

Isn’t it good to love only one person?”

When Candy woke up from her drunkenness, it was already dark outside. 

She glanced around and confirmed that she was not at Chloe’s house, but in the suite she and Wesley shared. 

Candy rubbed her eyes and got out of bed. She went outside to look for Wesley. She saw Wesley sitting on the sofa, looking at the computer, probably handling some business. 

Seeing her wake up, Wesley looked up at her. “There is a glass of honey lemon on that table that I just made for you. Drink it and sleep a little longer. I’m dealing with something first.” 

Candy had been drunk, but she knew what she had said to him today.
