Chapter 37 The Truthl
Stella said indifferently, “Why did she fall down the stairs? How would I know? You should be asking the person involved, not me.”
Ethan remained silent, his pitch–black eyes staring unwaveringly at him. There was still no trace of emotion on his face, but the temperature in the surroundings noticeably dropped a few degrees.
Obviously, he still had doubts about what she said.
After all, no one would fall down the stairs for no reason.
In such a suffocating atmosphere, a hint of unease appeared on Joel’s face.
However, Stella did not hide or avoid, her eyes fearlessly met his gaze.
Her eyes were clear and honest, with no hint of guilt.
Kaylyn quickly said, “Ethan, let’s forget about it…”
“We can’t just let it go like this,” Cohen interrupted Kaylyn, “This time we must teach that witch a lesson, or who knows what she might do next!”
Stella stood with her arms crossed, “Ms. Greer, aren’t you ready to tell everyone how you fell down the stairs?”
Kaylyn’s eyes flickered, hesitating to speak.
Stella glanced at the pretentious Kaylyn and said, “Since it has nothing to do with me, I’ll leave first.”
Cohen stood at the door and said, “If you don’t give Kay an explanation today, you won’t be able to walk out of this door!”
Stella mocked, “I said it wasn’t me who pushed, and Ms. Greer didn’t say it was me either. But others insisted, no, it was you who pushed.”
Cohen discovered that Stella had indeed changed, becoming sharp–tongued and causing him to constantly be on the losing end.
He looked at Kaylyn, a little anxious, and said, “Kay, quickly tell everyone, did Stella really push you down!”
Stella is right, if Kaylyn doesn’t admit it herself, it doesn’t matter what others say.
After all, Kaylyn was the person involved.

Kaylyn secretly resented Cohen for being a bad teammate.
By this time, if she continued to be evasive, it would become apparent that something was wrong.
She took a deep breath and was about to speak when the door of the ward was knocked again.
Then, two figures, one big and one small, walked in slowly.
“Auntie Stella, are you okay?”
As soon as Efrain saw her, he quickly rushed into Stella’s arms.
Stella hugged Efrain and said apologetically, “I’m sorry, I didn’t take good care of you again.”
She promised Finley to take good care of Efrain.
As a result, she had a series of accidents one after another and hardly took care of Efrain.
Although Efrain was young, he was very understanding.
“Auntie Stella had taken good care of me…”
No sooner had the words been spoken, a hostile voice suddenly resounded.
“How could you be with my mother?!”
Efrain looked up and saw Joel staring at him intently.
“Joel?” Efrain exclaimed with surprise, “How did
end you
up
here?”
Joel did not answer his words, but instead rushed over and angrily pushed Efrain, who was pouncing on Stella, away.
“You go away! Stay away from
from my mother!”
Efrain was caught off guard and was immediately pushed to the ground by Joel.
Stella’s face changed, and she quickly helped Efrain, who had fallen to the ground.
“Efrain, are you okay?”
Efrain’s eye rims suddenly turned red, and he looked at Stella with
“Auntie Stella, I was in so much pain.”
y eyes,
Stella hurriedly went to check and saw that Efrain’s arm had scraped and broken the skin, instantly showing a pained expression.
“Efrain, I took you to the pharmacy first…”
Stella had not finished speaking when another angry and dissatisfied voice resounded.
“Mom, why were you so nice to him? And you even let him hug you?!”

“Mom? Are you talking about Auntie Stella?” Efrain turned his head in confusion. “But, isn’t she your mom, that auntie?”
He looked at Kaylyn lying on the hospital bed and said, “Weren’t you both participating in the parent–child game this morning?”
Joel had a cold expression on his face, “Participating in the game doesn’t mean she was my
mother.”
“But when everyone asked you before, you didn’t deny it,” Efrain said innocently, as if he were naive child. “And also, didn’t you say that Auntie Stella was just a maid in your house?”
Nanny.
The impact of this sentence was too strong.
The air seemed to freeze for a moment.
The crowd had different expressions.
There are some things that, although everyone knows deep down, cannot be openly spoken about.
a
Mrs. Dodson was a housekeeper at home. If this got out, people would talk not about Stella, but about Ethan and the entire Dodson family.
At this moment, Finley, who had been silent all along, suddenly spoke up.
“Ella, this time I came to see you to give you something.”
All eyes immediately shifted to Finley..
Finley’s thin lips were adorned with a casual smile.
He handed a cellphone to Stella.
Stella opened her phone and discovered that there was a video inside.
After clicking on the video, her and Kaylyn’s figures appeared on the screen.
It was actually the video of her and Kaylyn at the staircase.
Stella was slightly startled, “This is…”
“This is the video of why Ms. Greer fell down the stairs.”
“Video?” Kaylyn’s eyes changed dramatically, and she instinctively said, “But the direction of the stairs clearly doesn’t have any surveillance…”
Stella looked at her upon hearing the words, “How could Ms. Greer think there was no surveillance there?”
Seemingly realizing the inappropriateness, Kaylyn forced a smile.

“When I went to look for Joel, I casually glanced around and noticed that there seemed to be no surveillance in that direction..
Finley’s voice was lazy. “There was indeed no surveillance at that spot, but Efrain happened to be filming Ella going downstairs at that moment. Unexpectedly, he captured such an interesting scene by chance.”
Finley’s phone, all of them were top–notch products in the world, with incredibly high pixel density.
In the video, the entire process of Kaylyn falling down the stairs was clearly depicted.
Stella didn’t even touch Kaylyn, but Kaylyn chased after Stella and fell down.
After the video finished playing, the whole room instantly became incredibly quiet.
Finley chuckled and said, “There was no surveillance over there, luckily Efrain took a quick snap, otherwise… Ella would have had a hard time proving herself.”
it was M.
Kaylyn quickly said, “I didn’t say Sutton who pushed me.”
Stella looked at her and said, “But when I was falsely accused, Ms. Greer didn’t say it wasn’t me either.”
Cohen didn’t expect that, it turns out that it wasn’t Stella who pushed the person.
His face was burning hot, with a sense of embarrassment as if he had been slapped.
Cohen, however, felt no guilt, “Isn’t it because Joel said he saw it, even your own son said it was you, who can doubt anything?”
Joel stared blankly at the scene playing on the video, his pupils flickering.
He subconsciously thought, “Mom and Kaylyn were very close at that time, and then Kaylyn fell down, I thought… I thought…”
Efrain suddenly spoke in confusion, “Then why would you think that your mother was a bad person?”
