Chapter 41 All the Wrong Choicesl
Finley chuckled softly, “Mr. Dodson was well aware of the dishes Ms. Greer liked. As Ella’s husband, he should have known what she liked to eat, right?”
Ethan fell silent for a moment, and a deep, pleasant voice sounded as he also ordered a few dishes for Stella.
Finley frowned slightly after hearing it.
“Mr. Dodson, are you sure… these are not the dishes you like to eat, but the dishes Ella likes to eat?”
Ethan looked at Stella.
Stella remained expressionless, not even glancing at him.
Finley looked at Ethan with a meaningful gaze.
“Ella liked spicy food, she almost enjoyed everything with spice. She didn’t like seafood, raw food, and she disliked fish even more.”
Finley looked at him, a faint smile playing on his lips.
“None of the three dishes Mr. Dodson ordered were ones Ella liked to eat.”
Ethan ordered three dishes, one of which was a light raw food dish, another one with seafood, and the last one was a fish dish.
Stepped on a landmine with great precision.
The atmosphere instantly plunged into a state of coldness.
Even the waiter standing aside to take orders couldn’t help but glance at Ethan.
As a husband, it is forgivable to not remember the dishes that one’s wife liked to eat..
Unfortunately, the things that were pointed out were all the things that others didn’t like, and even she felt embarrassed.
The waiter coughed softly, breaking the silence.
“Sir, do you still want these dishes?”
“No.” Finley said, ordering three dishes, each of which had chili
peppers.
After the waiter carefully took note of the order, he quickly fled from the table of peculiar
customers.
Seeing Ethan remaining silent, Kaylyn seemed afraid that Ethan would feel guilty, so she spoke
- up.
“Ethan rarely ate at home, so he didn’t know what Ms. Sutton liked to eat, which was normal.”
Stella, after hearing this, sneered in her heart.

Wasn’t this indirectly telling her that Ethan used to have meals with her all the time, so he would know her taste?
If Ethan really cared about her, he would find other ways to get to know her even if they didn’t eat together.
All in all, it was just a matter of not caring about her.
Finley nodded, “Yes, Ella had been taking care of her husband and children’s health all along, doing everything according to your customs, not only neglecting herself but also being ignored by others.”
“Now, it is also time to consider oneself.”
At this point, Finley looked at Stella, his deep eyes shimmering with a gentle light.
“In front of me, Ella didn’t need to compromise herself, you could always do things according to your own preferences.”
Stella knew that Finley had said so much, but it was just to vent her anger for her.
However, even knowing it was fake, a sense of unease still arose in the depths of her heart when she looked into the man’s pitch–black eyes.
Just then, Kaylyn’s voice suddenly rang out.
“Ms. Sutton, recently Aunt Gu has been suffering from her recurring headache. I heard that your used to be the one who delivered the medicine for Aunt Gu. If you don’t want to deliver it this time, can you hand over the medicine to us?”
Stella’s expression was indifferent, “I didn’t have any medicine in my hands.”
Ethan frowned, “These past few years, you have been the one giving medicine to mother. Are you saying you don’t have any medicine?”
Kaylyn on the side also said, “Ms. Sutton, I know that recently you and Ethan have had a lot of unpleasantness. Can you… put aside these grievances for now, after all, Aunt’s illness is more. important.”
Stella was getting a little annoyed, “I said, I didn’t have it. Mr. Dodson has great connections, and he can find a cure for Madam Dodson, but why would he come to me, a housewife?”

Ethan’s expression gradually darkened, and his voice became increasingly cold.
“Stella, how long are you going to keep causing trouble?!”
Stella hadn’t spoken yet when Kaylyn suddenly stood up.
“Ms. Sutton, I know that all along, you have misunderstood me. If you are harboring resentment. just because of this…”
Kaylyn bit her lower lip and said, “I am willing to apologize to you!”
With that, she deeply bowed towards Stella.
“Ms. Sutton, I’m sorry, I hope you can forgive me.”
Kaylyn made such a move in the elegant restaurant that instantly caught the attention of many people.
Stella looked at Kaylyn and didn’t say a word for a while.
Kaylyn maintained a bowing posture, as if she would not stop until she forgave.
As time passed, Ethan’s face grew colder and colder.
Just as he was about to say something, Stella finally spoke up.
“Do you
know where you went wrong?
Kaylyn’s gaze,
like that of a startled deer.
She glanced at Ethan and whispered, “I… I shouldn’t have come back when I was terminally ill…”
She gritted her teeth and said, “Ms. Sutton, if you are willing to give the medicine to Aunt, I… I will never appear in front of you and Ethan again, I will never… bother you both. From now on, whether I live or die, I have nothing to do with you and Ethan…”
Kaylyn hadn’t finished speaking when Ethan interrupted her in a deep voice.
“Kaylyn, what were you talking about?!”
Kaylyn, with tears in her eyes, said, “Anyway, I didn’t have much time left to live. I was willing to use the remaining days of my life to exchange for my aunt’s health.”
Ethan’s face turned as cold as water, “Don’t say such ominous words.”
Kaylyn showed a faint smile of strength, but tears slowly fell from her eyes, making her look like
a pear blossom with rain. I couldn’t help but feel sorry for her.
“As long as Ms. Sutton was willing, everything was worth it.”

The people around, seeing this scene, couldn’t help but whisper and comment.
“Oh my God, how could that woman have the heart to torment someone suffering from a terminal illness?”
“It seems like she was begging for medicine… That woman seemed to be using someone else’s life–saving medicine to threaten them. She was really malicious.”
Someone couldn’t bear it anymore and couldn’t help but speak up, “Miss, she has already apologized. What more do you want? She is already so pitiful.”
The people around also echoed.
“Yeah, yeah, you wouldn’t want to force someone to death, right?”
“Forgive others when you have been forgiven, why do you have to be so aggressive?”
Kaylyn wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes and said to the people around her, “Thank you all… I, I actually don’t mind how I am, as long as Ms. Sutton is willing to provide the medicine for treatment, I am willing to do anything!”
“Ah? So, it turns out you were asking for medicine for someone else?”
“She was already like this, yet she still wholeheartedly considered others. This girl, she is truly kind.”
The crowd’s curious gaze fell upon
Stella.
“Tsk, using someone else’s life–saving medicine to threaten, not afraid of shortening one’s own lifespan.”
“Hey, I said to that girl, you almost had it.”
“Yeah, you pushed them to death, so you became the murderer.”
The surrounding accusing glances and the constant sound of various discussions were incessant.
Stella seemed like an unforgivable villain.
Stella listened numbly, with no ripples in her heart.
Once Kaylyn shed a few tears and played the victim, everyone would instinctively sympathize with her and lean towards her.
Just at that moment, an untimely laughter suddenly rang out.
“It’s really strange. My friend didn’t say or do anything, how did he become a murderer?”
