Chapter 24
Chapter 24
Lena’s POV
The moonlight filters through my bedroom window, is pale glow spilling across the wooden floor like a silent witness to my unrest. I sit on the edge of my bed, staring at my trembling hands. My wolf paces within me, her presence restless and agitated, her yearning for Lucian clawing at the edges of Bw.control.
We should go to him, she whispers, her voice laced with urgency. Our mate needs us.
But I push her down, forcing rationality to the forefront. I can’t run headlong into danger–not without a plan.
ing my eyes, I take a deep breath, trying to steedy the storm raging inside me. The visions I’ve been having since Lucian left have only grown stronger. Fractured images flash through my mind like shards of broken glass–Lucian’s face twisted in pain, Lyanna’s cruel smile, and Darius lurking m the shadows, his amber eyes glowing with malice.
My wolf growls at the memory of him, her instincts protective and fierce. I know she’s right. Lucian doesn’t fully understand the danger he’s walking hun, and neither does Sebastian.
We have to act. I think to myself. Before ‘s too late.
Irise from the bed and head to the common room, where I know Sebastian will be. The firelight spills out into the hallway as I approach, and sure enough, he’s there, seated in his favorite armchair by the hearth. His shoulders are tense, his gaze fixed on the flames as though they hold the answers to the questions he won’t voice.
“Sebastian,” I call softly.
He turns, has piercing eyes narrowing slightly. “Elena. It’s late.”
“I couldn’t sleep,” I admit, stepping into the room. “I need to talk to you.”
He gestures for me to sit, though his expression remains guarded. 1 take the seat across from him, letting the warmth of the fire seep into my skin.
“My visions have been getting worse,” I begin, my voice low but steady. “They’re not just warnings anymore, Sebastian. They’re showing me pieces of what’s coming–pieces I can’t ignore.”
He leans forward, his elbows resting on his knees. “Go on.”
“They involve Lucian,” I say, watching his jaw tighten at the name. “And Darius. Lyanna isn’t acting alone. Whatever her plans are, they’re tied to the Black Moon Pack, and they’re dangerous. If we don’t act, she destroy more than just Lucian’s pack”
“And you think Lucian is the key to stopping her? Sebastian’s tone is skeptical, but there’s a hint of concern beneath it.
“I don’t just think it. I know it” I reply firmly. “Our bond–our mate bond–connects us. I can feel his emotions, Sebastian. His fear, his determination… he’s in over his head, and he’s trying to shield me from it. But I won’t let him do this alone.”
Sebastian exhales sharply, running a hand through his dark hair. “You’re asking me to trust him, Elena. After everything he’s done to you. After the risk he’s put you in.”
“I’m not asking you to trust him,” I counter. “Tim asking you to trust me.
He holds my gaze for a long moment, the firelight reflecting in his eyes. Finally, he nods, “What do you i need from the?”
Relief washes over me, though I know this is only the beginning “We need to uncover Lyanna’s connection to Darius. If we can figure out what they’re planning, we’ll have a better chance of stopping them. But I also need to find Lucian.”
Sebastian’s expression darkens. “You want to go after him.”
“Yes, I say without hesitation. “I can’t ignore the bond, Sebastian. It’s too strong. He’s trying to protect me, but he doesn’t understand what we’re up
His jaw tightens again, his Alpha instincts battling
ling with his role as my brother. “If we do this, we do it my way. No running off. No reckless decisions Agreed?”

“Agreed, reply, though my wall bristles at the idea of bolding back.
He nods, his posture relaxing slightly. “Til gather a team of our best trackers. If Lyanna is working with Darius, we’ll find proof. But, Elena He pauses, his voice softening. “Be careful, I can’t lose you too.”
“I will.” I promise, though the weight of my resolve presses heavily on my chest.
“Speaking of your best trackers, has anyone seen Marcus yet? It’s been weeks since he vanished. Shouldn’t we send trackers after him too? He is your Beta, you kneve.” I say in a low voice…
Joel’s death was a burden 1 will forever carry but I will never forgive myself knowing Marcus might have left the pack because of me. I need to set things right with Marens,
Sebastian looks at me with tired eyes. I know he is hurt more than he reveals, about the whole matter but as the Alpha, he has to put on a strong
“Hè left on his own accord. Leave him be. He needs to figure this out on his own. Whenever he is ready, the pack is there with open arms to welcome ham. Right now, I don’t need a conflict between my sister and my leta. Just let it be.” Sebastian says weardly. “Let’s focus on the matter at hand now.”
As he begins outlining the logistics, I let my thoughts drift to Lucian. The bond between us hums faintly, a constant reminder of his presence even across the distance. My wolf presses against my consciousness, urging me to reach out to him, to let him know he’s not alone
When Sebastian finishes, I stand. Thank you, Sebastian. I know this isn’t easy for you.”
He rises as well, placing a hand on my shoulder. “You’re my sister. I’d do anything to protect you, even if it means trusting someone like Lucian. Just don’t make me regret it.”
“I won’t,” I say, though doubt gnaws at the edges of my mind.
That night, as the pack house grows quiet, I retreat to my room. The moon hangs high in the sky, its light spilling across my bed like a clent promise. sit cross–legged on the floor, closing my eyes and letting the bond guide me
Lucian, I call through the connection, the word laced with urgency and longing
For a moment, there’s nothing but silence. Then, faintly, I feel it–a pulse of warmth, the echo of his emotions brushing against mane. Determination Fear, And something else. Yearning.
I’m coming for you, I whisper, my wolf’s voice intertwining with my own. You’re not alone.
The bond pulses again, stronger this time, and I feel the faintest flicker of his response. It’s not words, but an emotion that foods through me–gratitude, mixed with love.
“I love you,” I murmur, the words carried across the distance like a prayer.
The connection lingers for a moment longer before fading, leaving me with a renewed sense of purpose.
I open my eyes, the fire within me burning brighter than ever. Lucian may have left, but I won’t let him face this alone. Whatever darkness lies ahead, Tface it with him.
The moon continues its silent vigil overhead, its light a beacon of strength and resolve. My wolf stirs within me, ready for the journey to come Together, we’ll find him–and together, we’ll end this
