Chapter 108
Isabella didn’t respond. She hung up, and blocked the number–all in one smooth motion.
Then, she went back to her book.
Ivana glared at her darkened phone, her eyes filled with intense anger. “That jerk, she thought.
Just then, Jayden, who was behind Ivana, asked, “What did she say?”
Ivana turned around to face Jayden, who was watching her from the couch. The anger in her eyes disappeared, leaving only sadness and grievance.
With her head down, she said quietly, “Jayden, she hung up on me.”
Jayden’s hand resting at his side clenched suddenly, a flicker of darkness crossing his eyes. She was really becoming more arrogant.
Isabella was never like this before. She used to be gentle, sensible, and obedient. But times had changed.
Jayden thought, ‘Is she really so arrogant after she becomes Dr. Lovett?‘
Isabella was really disappointing him.
Seeing Jayden’s displeased expression, Ivana felt delighted. It seemed Jayden was starting to be dissatisfied with Isabella.
In that case, Ivana’s eyes sparkled as she continued to comfort him, “It’s okay, Jayden. I’ll keep calling her. She’ll answer. I refuse to believe Isabella could be so heartless.”
This time, Ivana started calling from a different phone.
Jayden stayed silent, clearly agreeing with her approach.
The constant phone ringing from Ivana was making Isabella restless. She closed the book in her hands.
She really wanted to see what Ivana was planning today.
Ivana thought Isabella would keep ignoring her calls. Watching Jayden’s increasingly dark expression, she was secretly pleased, when suddenly, the call was answered.
Isabella said in a low voice, “You’ve got three minutes.”
Ivana was momentarily stunned before snapping back to reality. She pressed the speaker button and said sweetly, with a hint of grievance, “Isabella, I don’t mean anything else. I just want to have a meal with you so we could all hang out.”
Jayden sat up a little straighter, listening intently to their conversation.
Isabella chuckled coldly, “Ivana, do you really think we can still sit down for a meal together anymore?”
It was obvious to anyone with common sense that Ivana was definitely up to something shady.
There was always a reason behind an anomaly.
Ivana would do anything to bring her down.
Isabella thought, ‘It is impossible that they could have a nice meal together?‘ It was absolutely impossible.
It was absolutely impossible.

Chapter 108
Ivana’s body tensed slightly. Last time, that fool Cameron couldn’t take out this jerk, allowing her to act so arrogantly.
Yet Ivana maintained her sweet and charming face.
She said, a bit sadly, “Isabella, I know you don’t want to have dinner with me. I won’t go. It’s Jayden who wants to invite you for dinner. You love him so much, and you’d say yes, right?”
Ivana had this self–sacrificing expression that made Isabella feel like clapping for her.
Even Mother Teresa couldn’t rival the saintly glow she exuded,
Isabella placed the book she was holding aside and curled her lips with a sarcastic smile, “Ivana, now that Jayden is your man, you’re asking me to have dinner with him alone? Do you think everyone is like you, enjoying being the other woman?”
Tears fell from Ivana’s eyes as she gripped her phone tightly in anger, her face pale. She said, “Isabella, how could you say that about me? I’m not the other woman.”
This jerk dared to call her the other woman in front of Jayden.
Ivana thought, “The fact was clear that Jayden didn’t love her and it was not my fault.
The one untoved was the real mistress.
Isabella ignored Ivana’s protests, slowly stood up, and looked at the sunlight pouring into the garden. She continued, “Ha, you know the truth better than anyone else.”
That way, the two of them wouldn’t cause trouble in the world.
Isabella thought it was another one of her tricks and she would not fall for it a second time.
After saying that, Isabella hung up the phone right away.
Ivana was so angry that she was grinding her teeth, but she couldn’t lose her temper in front of Jayden. However, in her heart, she cursed Isabella a million times.
With her head bowed, tears fell in big drops as she felt utterly wronged and said, “Jayden, I’m sorry, but I can’t communicate with Isabella.”
Jayden looked at Ivana with cold eyes, his fist tightly clenched. He said in a deep voice, “It’s okay. It’s not your fault.”
Lately, he had tried everything to get a date with Isabella, but nothing had worked, so he had Ivana make the call.
He thought that since Ivana was Isabella’s sister, it might be easier to at least arrange a meeting.
But to his surprise, Isabella turned out to be so arrogant.
Ivana secretly breathed a sigh of relief. Jayden had been so distant towards her lately. She needed to find a way to ease the tension.
She moved closer, sitting beside Jayden, gently resting her head on his shoulder, and softly said, “Jayden, don’t be upset. Isabella is just mad for now. Give her some time, and she’ll come around.”
But a flash of coldness crossed Ivana’s eyes at the place where Jayden couldn’t see.
‘Isabella, that bitch, I’ll make sure she pays back every bit of humiliation Ige suffered, she thought.
Jayden’s expression darkened.
He stood up and pushed Ivana aside. “I have something to do. I’m leaving now,” he said.

Ivana was stunned, looking at Jayden in disbelief. She murmured, “Jayden, but I want to…”
However, Jayden completely ignored her and walked right out.

A big sound gave out when the door closed. Ivana’s expression twisted instantly. She clenched her fists and slammed them hard on the table.
Through gritted teeth, Ivana spat, “That witch, ugh.” She was going to destroy Isabella.

Meanwhile, Ivana wasn’t the only one feeling miserable.
In the Sanchez family, the sound of things crashing echoed through the villa.
On the expensive tiles of the luxurious villa were fragments of fine porcelain and broken glassware.
Dressed in a hooded tracksuit and heavy makeup, Wendy’s face was livid as she furiously hurled objects around the living
room.
They had tried everything, but there was no way to regain their status as shareholders of the Howerton Group.
She cursed angrily, “These jerks are just trying to mess with me. If it weren’t for that woman, we wouldn’t be in this trouble.”
Wendy ferociously smashed the glass in her hand, sending shards flying everywhere. A big sound gave out.
The shards scattered, cutting across Robin’s hand on the pricey leather sofa, leaving a bloody scratch.
Robin’s face darkened as a flame of anger ignited within him.
He slammed his hand forcefully on the table. A big sound gave out.
“Are you finished yet?” he asked.
Wendy’s face changed as she instinctively looked over.
Robin stood up abruptly, glaring at Wendy with angry eyes, pointing a finger at her, and shouting, “Wasn’t it you who said you wanted to work at the Group? I arranged it for you, and this is how you repay me?”
This time, it was more than just a matter of losing face.
Because of Wendy, he lost his voice on the board.
Every time Robin remembered Howard’s cold remark calling him “useless“, he couldn’t help but feel furious.
Wendy was so shocked by Robin’s sudden burst of anger that she froze in place.
Wendy looked at him in disbelief, tears streaming down her face. “Dad, are you getting mad at me?” she asked. Robin felt even more frustrated and grabbed a tissue from the table to wipe the blood still dripping from his hand. He turned to Wendy and yelled angrily, “I told you not to fall for Samuel, but you didn’t listen. See what happened now.” If it weren’t for Wendy, he wouldn’t have confronted Samuel so quickly.
Robin sat back on the sofa and said in a serious tone, without looking at Wendy, “I’ve arranged a date for you tomorrow. Go and talk to him yourself.”
