Chapter 16
After a moment of thought, Molly looked up at Ivana and softened her tone to comfort her. “Ivana, don’t worry too much Jayden only cares about her right now because she’s Queenie Lovett.”
*I know. But Isabella already has that identity, and Jayden knows about it. Mom, I’m so scared! I tried so hard to make Jayden mine! This time, Ivana couldn’t hold back her tears, overwhelmed with fear.
Molly narrowed her eyes, a cold glint flashing in them. She lowered her voice and said, “If she’s dead, there won’t be a problem.”
Ivana’s head snapped up, her gaze fixed on Molly. “You mean…”
Molly stood up and walked over to the bedside table. She picked up a grape from the fruit plate, squeezed it hard, and the once intact grape burst, its juice spilling out instantly.
She looked at the crushed grape in her hand and sneered coldly, “Like this grape–once it’s crushed, torn apart, does it still have any life in it?”

Ivana’s face paled. “But… Mom, killing If you…”
Molly
y scoffed, “What are you afraid of? I killed her mother before, and I can kill her now.”
“But…” Ivana grew more anxious, but Molly interrupted her coldly, “Do you really think your father dotes on you? He’s always been a heartless man. Otherwise, why would he dump Isabella’s mother? When she died, he didn’t even give her a second glance. He only favors you because you’re better than Isabella.”
Ivana froze, her mouth hanging open, unsure of what to say. What Molly said next made Ivana’s heart skip a beat. “Once your father finds out that she’s Queenie and how valuable she is, do you think we’ll have any standing in the Stout family?”
Ivana’s face turned ashen. “But I’m afraid we’ll get caught…”
Molly tossed the crushed grape into the trash and pulled a tissue from the cabinet, carefully wiping the juice from her fingers.
She said with absolute certainty, “What’s there to be afraid of? I have my ways. For now, just stay quiet. Don’t tell your father about what happened at the hospital.”
Ivana nodded frantically. Molly slowly curled her lips into a smile and gently wiped away the tears on Ivana’s face. She said softly. “Joshua has a close relative who works as a servant for Xavier. You just stay the little princess you are. Let me handle this.
With that, Molly tossed the used tissue into the trash with a deliberate motion.
Ivana frowned slightly, looking at Molly with concern. “Can we trust this person?”
Molly gave her a reassuring pat on the shoulder and said calmly, “Of course. I’ll make sure everything is airtight. Ivana, when it comes to big plans, you can’t sweat the small stuff. Stay calm and analyze things carefully. Don’t panic. As long as you’re ruthless enough, no one can surpass you. Understand?”
Ivana nodded firmly. “I understand.”
She felt that Molly was right. Only by being ruthless could she get what she wanted. She grasped Molly’s hand on her shoulder and looked up at her. “Mom, my happiness depends on you.”
Molly gently patted the back of her hand and reassured her. “Of course. I’ll make sure you’re the happiest person in the whole
world!”
A slow smile spread across–Ivana’s face, her eyes gleaming with a vicious coldness. Isabella, I will make sure you never rise again!
Two days had passed.
The Cox residence, located on the outskirts of Draxenport, was surrounded by a meticulously maintained garden. On this quiet night, the only sound that could occasionally be heard was the chirping of insects.

But suddenly, the sound of something shattering pierced the silence.
Inside the villa, Xavier was lying on his bed, writhing in pain. His jaw was clenched tightly, veins bulging all over his body from the strain, and his skin had taken on an unnatural flush.
“Argh!” he roared, twisting and turning on the bed before staggering to his feet and stumbling toward the living room. “Blood, I need blood!”
His crazed appearance was like a demon emerging from the depths of hell. Xavier began smashing everything in the house, the terrifying sounds causing the servants to freeze in fear, too terrihed to get close.
All the servants trembled, hiding in the corners, paralyzed with dread. The butler, Connor, shakily dialed Darryl’s number. “Mr. Cox, Master Xavier’s having another episode!”
Xavier’s bloodshot eyes blazed with madness as he bellowed, “Where’s the blood?!”
Connor was so scared that he dropped his phone, and some faint–hearted servants even burst into tears. If he had known Xavier’s episodes were this terrifying, Connor would never have taken this job
The
servants
were all on high alert, keeping a close eye on Xavier’s movements. One of them, a maid named Hannah, shrank into a corner, muttering under her breath, “Wasn’t Master Xavier cured by Dr. Lovett? Why is he still like this?!”
The others looked just as horrified, exchanging worried glances. They started whispering among themselves, “Yeah, I think that doctor was probably an imposter.”
Connor fell deep into thought. The others didn’t know, but he did–Dr. Lovett that day had been Isabella Stout. Everyone knew that Isabella could do nothing except follow Jayden around.
Connor thought to himself, ‘Could such a woman really be Dr. Lovett? Judging by Xavier’s condition now, it didn’t seem likely‘
At that moment, Xavier felt as though his blood was boiling, like it was burning his entire body from the inside out. His heart felt as if it were being gnawed on by thousands of ants.
A voice screamed inside his head, demanding blood. Only drinking blood could relieve the unbearable pain.
His bloodshot eyes locked onto the group of servants huddled in the corner. His feet moved on their own, slowly dragging him toward them. He wanted to drink their blood.
No, stop!‘ Xavier clenched his fists and slammed them into the cabinet next to the wall with a thunderous bang, trying to use the sharp pain to control the frenzy inside him.
The pain snapped him back to reality, if only for a moment. His voice was hoarse as he yelled, “Get out! All of you, get out!”
If the servants didn’t move quickly enough, he might not be able to stop himself from hurting them.
The servants hesitated, torn between staying and running. They didn’t dare leave him alone during one of his episodes. If they all fled, there would be no one taking care of Xavier.
Xavier’s bloodshot eyes locked onto Connor. “Make them leave!!!
Connor knew exactly what was going on and quickly waved at the servants, “Everyone, take two days off. Don’t come back until then.
The servants, feeling as though they’d been granted a pardon, didn’t hesitate. They fled in a rush without looking back.
In the bedroom of Riverside Villa, the natural wood–toned furniture and neat, tidy vanity adorned with a few pale pink roses filled the air with a faint fragrance.
The soft, ivory–colored sheer curtains floated gently in the night breeze, giving the room a particularly peaceful and cozy atmosphere.
Under the warm white light of the ceiling lamp, Isabella was reclining against the headboard, hugging a large pillow with one arm while scrolling through shopping apps on her phone with the other.
Her delicate face, nestled against the pillow, was filled with frustration. She was trying to decide what gift to bring to the Howerton residence.

For the past two days, she had practically visited every mall in Draxenport, big and small, but still hadn’t found a gift she was satisfied with
Isabella was at her wits‘ end. Just then, her phone suddenly rang. Seeing the unfamiliar number, Isabella furrowed her brows but decided to answer. “Hello?
On the other end of the line, Darryl’s urgent voice came through. “Dr. Lovett, my son’s illness has relapsed! Please come quickly and take a look!”
