Chapter 54
Given the situation, Isabella couldn’t just ignore it.
Samuel paused, his eyes fixed on Isabella. He smiled and said gently. “Thank you.”
Isabella couldn’t help but give him a sidelong glance. “You’re thanking me now? You’re not allowed me to thank you, so it is
unfair.”
Before Samuel could reply, Isabella had turned and headed to the closet.
As Samuel watched Isabella’s back, he realized that sometimes saying thanks wasn’t about being distant but genuine gratitude.
In the hospital, Samuel hurried over with Isabella.
In the private VIP room at the top of the hospital, the large suite was now filled with people. Everyone looked worried.
Sarah lay quietly on the bed. Though her face was a bit pale, she was awake.
Sarah noticed Gwenna sitting by the bed and looking worried, and Sarah gently comforted her, “Mom, I’m okay, I’ll feel better in a few days. Don’t worry.”
Gwenna looked at Sarah and gently patted her arm reassuringly. “Of course, you will.”
Gwenna turned slightly and showed the little girl Rachana standing next to her.
Rachana was only five, looking as cute as a porcelain doll.
The girl had big eyes and chubby cheeks and looked worriedly at Sarah on the hospital bed.
Rachana stepped forward, holding Sarah’s hand, and tilted her little head, said in a soft voice, “Mommy, you’ll get better. Then Daddy will take us to the Walt Disney Company to see the princesses.”
When Sarah saw Rachana, the usually efficient woman Sarah had a gentle look.
Sarah reached out to stroke Rachana’s head and replied softly, “Okay, Daddy and I will take you to see the princesses.
Rachana nodded obediently.
Whitney waved at Rachana and said, “Rachana, come over here, and let your mom rest.”
Rachana nodded and ran over to Whitney and said, “Daddy” Rachana hugged his leg while standing beside himn.
Whitney picked up Rachana and looked over at Sarah on the bed. His usually composed face was now full of worry. Whitney’s expensive suit was wrinkled, his jaw was covered with stubble, and his eyes were bloodshot.
Sarah had never seen Whitney look so disheveled before.
Sarah lowered her eyes, feeling a mix of emotions stirring inside her.
If it weren’t for this illness, Sarah might have never known how deeply Whitney cared for her.
Hoy, who had been silent the whole time, looked around the hospital room and said in a deep voice, “Alright, everyone should head home. There’s no use staying here.”
Then Hoy turned his gaze to Whitney and said, “Whitney, go home and get some rest. We’ll manage things here.”
Even Whitney strong couldn’t endure these past few days.
Gwenna looked at Whitney with concern. “Don’t forget you still have Rachana to take care of.”
Rachana wrapped her arms around Whitney’s neck, leaning obediently on his shoulder.
Whitney shook his head slightly and said, “It’s okay. Lily will take care of Rachana.”
Seeing that her words didn’t convince Whitney, Gwenna could only sigh inwardly, deciding not to say more.

At that moment, the door of the hospital room was knocked on, drawing everyone’s attention to the doorway.
“Knock
Samuel pushed the door open and walked in.
When they saw Isabella behind Samuel, everyone in the room was amazed.
Isabella was surprised to see so many people in the hospital room.
But Isabella quickly composed herself, stepped forward politely, and greeted. “Hello, Mr. Howerton”
Looking at Isabella, Hoy was visibly upset and didn’t respond.
Isabella didn’t mind and turned to Gwenna. “Hello, Mrs. Howerton.”
Isabella had a gentle smile on her face, yet very gracious.
Gwenna was surprised, smiling as she realized Isabella still wanted to see Sarah.
Gwenna thought, “Isabella is a good girl
Gwenna said, “Bella’s here. Come in and have a seat.
Sarah furrowed her brows, looked at Isabella with displeasure, and said. “What are you doing here?”
Isabella’s arrival was clearly unwelcome.
Gwenna glanced at Sarah, sensing something was off, but couldn’t bring herself to scold Sarah, so Gwenna whispered a gentle reminder, ‘Sarah, calm down.”
Samuel stepped forward and suddenly took Isabella’s hand.
Isabella was surprised,
